The salon itself is very cute, i felt very at home. Patricia is super nice and knowledgeable. I brought in lots of pictures and ideas; I wanted to go from a dirty blonde to red. As I was getting ready to write my review, I couldn't help but notice what other people had said about this salon. It's true that you can't please everyone, but it seems that a great majority are quite pleased with their experience. You might ask why it matters what others have said. Well, my experience has been amazing, and I gladly pass along the info of the Patricia Hair Extensions Salon when people ask me where I get my hair done, but I feel reassured that I'm not an exception so if I refer friends and family, I know that they too will have be pleased with the service. I get my hair cut and colored on a regular basis. I have a very demanding career and unfortunately am not blessed with hours and hours that I can spend in a salon so I appreciate the fact that my appointment time is respected. I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes, and that's been usually because I've arrived a few minutes early. The location is clean, sleek, and modern. Unlike some places, the product shelves are spotless. The staffs are professional, polite, and friendly. Unlike some of the well-known salons in the city, the staff actually greets you when you walk through the door. They are attentive and happy to assist you should you need anything. Now about what really matters: my hair, A bad hair day for me translates to an off day so when it comes to my appearance, my hair is top priority. I change my hair style every couple of years, and because I have fine hair, I'm limited to certain cuts. To date, I've been thrilled with my haircuts. And my current color is so rich and fantastic. I'm a tough critic, but I've been pleased so far. Interestingly, even random strangers have complimented me on my hair cut as well as color. Went to Patricia Hair Extensions Salon after reading all the fantastic reviews on CitySearch and I’m glad I did. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Patricia, the owner/stylist and her assistant. Both were very friendly and funny. I showed Patricia a picture of the style that I wanted and it came out PERFECT.I really like Patricia and her staff’s personality, they were so warm and friendly and I felt like I had been there so many times even though it was my first time. The salon is super clean, inviting and modern. I would recommend this place to everyone because it is not pretentious at all. Just great service, smiles and quality work. At the end, i was very delighted at how my hair looked, the cost (very reasonable) and the fact that Patricia was very honest and not pushy. She told me honestly not to get my hair colored (even though it would've made her earn more that day) and did not push me to buy products. I came here with my sister after we both had a bad experience having our hair highlighted at some other salon. I was unhappy with the color they put in my hair, which turned really brassy and looked tacky. It also ruined the condition of my hair. I needed a new salon in NYC and after reading all the good reviews of Patricia Hair Extensions I decided to give it a try. The salon is really calm and unpretentious. The staffs were all very nice, friendly and took a great deal of time figuring out the best way to color our hair. The end result was a beautiful dark red in my sister's hair, and they managed to fix my hair so that it looked natural dark blonde rather than brassy and stripey. They also gave me a great shampoo and conditioner which is helping to maintain my color and restore the condition of my hair. We both were really please with the result and the whole experience. And the price was so much more reasonable than what we had been paying at previous salon. We're both going back in a few weeks for cuts, and I will definitely be going to Patricia Hair Extensions to get my color done in the future. more

I was beyond pleased with this product. The hair extensions looked so incredibly natural on me for my wedding. I never thought I could have the look I wanted because my hair is so thin. Not only was the person at the front desk was able to make room for my 6-hour appointment on such short notice, but I got an amazing stylist who did a wonderful job on my hair. I recently had a new treatment Patricia Hair Extensions Salon now carries that has literally changed my life with regard to my very curly hair -- the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. I have long, curly hair. Unlike many curly locked folks, I embrace my curl. What I don't love is the frizz often associated with it. For years I have spent countless dollars on products designed to eliminate or diminish frizz, to little effect. When Patricia offered to use me as a hair model for this new treatment, I jumped at the opportunity. The thing about this treatment is that it doesn't damage your hair like the Japanese straightening chemicals can. Instead, it's like a DEEP conditioning treatment that takes half the time. Since I wanted to keep my curl, they did not use any of the formaldehyde in my treatment. You can select various percentages of straightener with this method. Here's how it works: 1. They wash your hair with special clarifying shampoo. 2. They apply a remarkably thin layer of the keratin treatment 3. They blow-dry your hair with the conditioning keratin still in your hair. 4. They flat-iron your hair. 5. You look fabulous. Since I didn't use any of the formaldehyde, once I washed my hair my curl came back. However, it was relaxed a bit and NO FRIZZ. This was fantastic, as I was headed back to a high school reunion. This was exactly the result I wanted. My daughter is dying to have her hair straightened with this treatment. Animals are not killed for this, so that is a plus. Dream Extensions was the ideal place for me to receive this service. They are curtious, professional and the facility is clean and welcoming. Patricia is exceptional at what she does. She's been doing my hair for the past year and hopefully will continue doing it for years to come. I'm always struck with ideas for my hair that, to me, seem great -- however, it's seemed like I'd never be able to find a hairstylist who could actually pull off my ""visions"". Then Patricia started doing my hair. She's accomplished everything for me, and every time she's done with me I'm always getting comments on how great I look -- she dyed my hair a perfect snow white (which is a near impossible feat), with minimal damage and no hair loss; next, she put my hair in braids (takes hours, but you'll have so much fun talking with Patricia I guarantee you won't notice). Everywhere I went people would come up to me telling me how cool my hair was. And after the braids got old, she helped me achieve a gorgeous, classic platinum blonde bob. Having gone through so many different hairstyles with her, I can definitely vouch for her versatility and talent. Not only do I have a flawless classic cut right now, but she's also proven herself capable of funky, hip, and cool hairstyles.
