Twice, I have enjoyed fantastic highlights by Leda with blow drying by Lana-- surely one of the ""Best in the Country"" when it comes to wielding a hot air gun and a round brush -- just watch her in action. But Leda, who is known for her gorgeous blondes is the consummate pro. She is a down-to-earth mother and beauty-biz veteran who, despite a hectic schedule, manages to exude a pleasant, calming energy.\r \r She found my previous color work to be brassy, so she corrected it by applying a gloss and a darker base color. By my next session, she had created the perfect fashion-forward contrast between the base color and the champagne strands on top. While my color was setting, tea and cookies were served in a gracious manner as I relaxed in their salon. Nico at Patricia hair Extensions Salon is a fantastic stylist. I have been going to Nico for more than 5 years and wouldn't consider going to anyone else. Nico is professional, talented, and has a wonderful personality that makes you feel so comfortable while at the salon, and his talents make for great hair days after you have left the salon. She is great at suggestions but is honest enough to tell you something won't work on you when you bring in that picture of a super-model. I am writing this review to give my hairdressers, Nico, Jessica from Patricia hair Extensions Salon-Born some credit where credit is due. Let me start off by saying... I love my hair. But this wasn't always the case as my hair is really straight and thin. Somehow, when Nico cuts my hair, it seems to double in volume and even taught me some easy tips for me to use myself when styling my own hair (because I am helpless at doing my own hair). I also get my hair colored by Jessica and I am always getting compliments on my hair color. She does a really great job at color too. Not only is Nico and Jessica a terrific hairdresser, they are also very reliable (keeps their appointments on time), and prices are VERY reasonable as well. more

Patricia was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable, and she worked hard to match my highlights from my previous salon so they would look natural. I've never written a review before, but given how much I enjoyed my time at Patricia Hair Extensions Salon, I feel motivated to share. I moved to NYC in July and immediately began looking for a stylist. I went to a couple different people, both of whom destroyed my hair. I finally resigned to doing my hair myself for a few months which yielded no better results--but at least it was free. My luck all changed when I did a CitySearch on ""best hair salon, NYC""-- Patricia Hair Extensions Salon was on the list. However, still very cautious, I called each of the top 10 to see how they handled new clients. I ultimately chose Patricia Hair Extensions Salon because they were the only Salon to provide a consultation on the phone. She asked about my experience in the past and even promised to be very gentle with my hair. I felt really comfortable making an appointment, despite the fact that it was certainly a leap of faith. I arrived at the Salon a few days later and had an amazing hair care experience. I felt very taken care of and listened to, which unfortunately has not been my experience in the past. Patricia care of my hair, I left with a complete makeover, cut and conditioning--my hair was lopsided and dry before. Needless to say, I'm a client for as long as I'm in NYC. I also really appreciated the great aesthetic- they have fendi furniture chairs and endless tea--which for me was soothing. In fact, I'm going for my second appointment tonight and have already scheduled my new year?s appointment. After being disappointed with many visits at my old salon, I gave Patricia Hair Extensions Salon a try, and it did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of visiting Patricia Hair Extensions Salon today to address a minor hair disaster prior to a TV shoot- bleach blond ends with dark roots, some odd pieces of pastel colors mixed in - definitely in need of color correction. I called first thing this morning and the call was answered by a very professional voice offering me an appointment later the same day. I took it, not knowing what to expect but hoping for the best (as stated previously I had been met with color disaster.) The BEST is what I got. I was greeted again very professionally by the receptionist in this wonderfully appointed salon, and in no time was put into the very capable hands of Leda, who is amazing in every sense of the word. Elegant, articulate and lovely, she told me in intricate detail the routes we could take to correct the color as well as what the potential outcome might be - it was the most educated yet honest consultation that I have had after 18 years of having color done. I quite frankly had not expected such an expert. Results? PERFECT color, a sweet goody bag, and a guarantee that I will not only return myself, but refer the salon to all of my clients. I have been going to see Patricia Hair Extensions Salon for years. Jessica consistently colors my hair in such a natural looking manner that friends and colleagues are surprised when I tell them I have my hair. Went to a different colorist once to try someone closer and slightly cheaper but I never looked as good. It was when she turned my hair hot pink that I RAN BACK TO GREG for a correction, SUCCESSFUL, and have never looked back. Patricia always treats me with respect, entertains me with some of his comments but the real reason I drive from very far place all the way up to NYC is that my hair color always looks GORGEOUS. Patricia definitely knows how to find a style that suits your needs as well as your look. She has been cutting my hair for almost 10 years now, and has taught me what styles best complement the shape of my face and neck. I've been through all styles of long & short, bangs and all. She guarantees her cuts and will make sure you are happy with how it looks. Patricia has a fabulous creative flare which especially shines through in special-occasion dos.
