Thank you oradell and thank you Dr. Hudak.. I was there last Monday with my best friend, love, company and sweet heart Gina, she is resting now and I know Dr. That You Were there ...

First, their facility is world-class. Since they moved from their old location in Oradell on Kinderkamack, it rivals a very technology forward human hospital. Enormous staff, and ...

A Hospital with a HALO over it grace of God send me there for MRI where no other animal services would help but this heartwarming establishment 11/12/2018

you guys and gals that work and make sure your priorities for these talkless animals, first you talk for them ,then hopefully what's going on and a prognosis , it wasn't good for me because my 5yearold lab RUSTY WE FOUND OUT THE WORST NIGHTMARE HE HAS A AGREESSIVE CANCER that was heading in his brain ,this hospital is a number 1 for helping use out by doing a MRI on a loan and they did thank God for RUSTY and us, it wasn't the place I wanted to be but the hospitality at this Hospital was great even in the waiting room humans were so compassionate. They kept Rusty one night for MRI, i thank this hospital because Rusty would of suffered without knowing it was in his brain ,as a pup lover my pups come first we learn off eachother by looking in the EACH others EYES.So we had to euthanize RUSTY MY BUDDY the next day ,he is the hardest pup to except it's bad I just can't get over him we had alot of turma this year 2018 .Your hospital is a great establishment.Thank all of you for ever minute spent with my buddy RUSTY . Well all my pups are or will be cremated to be in my casket for eternal life. Thank You So Much. Have experience with three other hospitals for Rusty BUT Oradell Hospital is the only one that showed me that they went to college to help animals. Ty more

TOTALLY ripped me off. Lied. HORRIFIC 7/4/2018

Absolute ripoff. They told me my cat was on an IV when he wasn’t- even though he didn’t drink for two days. There from 9-2. I actually felt compelled to call the police because I was unable to get him back for EONS. Over 1200 for a bath (he was sick in the car) and an antibiotic. Told the ultrasound was 600 and the bloodwork was 280. WTF???? more

Great place for my rabbits 5/4/2018

I've had to bring one of my two rabbits here pretty often as he's so delicate and usually gets in some trouble. Their exotic vet, Dr. Boren, is wonderful! He is super knowledgeable and caring. I feel so comfortable and happy when he sees my rabbit. Yes, they're pricey but will work with you and honestly, it will be worth it. ALL THEIR STAFF has been very kind and polite to me and I am Hispanic and the staff is diverse. Some of these reviews really do not sound like Oradell Animal Hospital. They're always nice from the moment I walk in until I walk out. more

Outstanding 1/30/2018

I have brought several of my pets to Oradell and have had nothing but great results! Vets and techs were all very responsive to my pets needs! Will always go to Oradell more

Bring here if you hate your pet. 12/8/2017

You don't need to trust my review, go to better business bureau and check it out yourself. They have an F rating, in fact all of their locations have an F rating! Coincidence, if you think so then you deserve to go here. My wife and I found a stray cat in Newark and wanted to do the right thing for him. We bought him to Oradell and he diagnosed with Pyrothorax and put on broad spectrum antibiotics awaiting culture results. The culture results came back negative and I was told by the doctors that it was a "false negative." I've been out of high school a bit but in biology lab if I'm expecting bacteria and the cultures come back with nothing and I say to my professor it was a "false negative" I would get an F just like this location received from BBB. I literally had to argue with the doctors to run the cultures again and low and behold the cultures came back positive for strep and staph which was immune to the broad spectrum antibiotics they were giving him! Thank god I pushed to rerun the cultures! But why do I the customer need to push for these tests to be run in the first place?!? You're the doctor, errors happen regardless how rare you think they are! A life is at stake and all you can say to me is "false negative!" After he was "cured" by Oradell Animal Hospital I took him home, 3 days later we noticed he was having trouble breathing so we took him to our local veterinarian who took X-rays and said that he had fluid in his chest. We of course take him back to Oradell because we are idiots and hadn't had enough mistreatment yet. The pet "doctor" there, looked like she'd been out of school 1 year, Ms. Lee tried to remove the fluid but said she was unable to and that the fluid may be trapped in some "pockets" in his chest which was incorrect, another "false negative." I kept asking her why the Pyrothorax came back after you released him ONLY 3 days prior. Her answer was she didn't know, it could have been an animal bite, he could have cut himself on a fence when he was outside, it could be FIV, it could be mutated bacteria, it could be a heart issue, it could be etc. Basically a list of cover my $@!#% issues, hey I told the patient it could have been this or that or this and then that. If I wanted a list of possibilities why do I need to pay you, I can just google myself. I also spoke to their staff doctor their top "doctor" who told me if they could not remove the fluid then I have to euthanize my cat. Obviously now knowing that this hospital could care less about me or my pet I took him to Veterinary Emergency Group who was able to remove the fluid in about 5 minutes. They had to use Ultrasound to guide the needle and during the ultrasound a real veterinarian advised me that the heart looked enlarged on one side, that was after 2 minutes on the ultrasound. Oradell had him for 3 entire days and charged me for 12 Ultrasounds and X-rays on the chest and nothing about this from them, not a whisper. Veterinary Emergency Group then took X-rays (SAME AS ORADELL) and concluded that he could have heart issue, they then suggested I take him to get an Echocardiagram. Low and behold they deduced that the heart was the issue and that was what was causing the fluid in his chest. They then put him on the right medications to treat him and took him off of what Oradell prescribed him. Look you want to take your pet to Oradell go ahead, there's lots of other animals there and obviously not enough time or doctors to treat them correctly. Therefore if you want your pet to be treated like another animal off the assembly line of Oradell Animal Hospital go right ahead. You live right next to New York City, better doctors are going to be there, no doctor is graduating from an Ivy League school and saying to themselves hey let's go live in Oradell New Jersey, just like no 5 start chef is saying let's go open a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Oradell New Jersey. AMC or Blue Pearl in Midtown both have top doctors, obviously it's NYC. Also if you file a complaint with Oradell don't bother, they have their own internal administrator on her own agenda. Nancy Miles, who obviously is there to shoot down every single question you have because guess what she WORKS FOR THE HOSPITAL. SHE'S NOT ON YOUR SIDE! She's there to make you think you are wrong and they are right. Honestly you would think that customer service would be important to them but based on my experience with Nancy Miles that is quite the opposite. I wasn't even allowed to finish speaking before she would interject with this is why were wrong and the doctor was right. The most self righteous person I have ever spoke to and apparently she's the big boss of that place. Reminder to anyone from ORADELL ANIMAL HOSPITAL READING THIS. You are not gods, you are not infallible. There's a reason you have an F rating on BBB you are not a good business... more

Excellent animal hospital 6/3/2017

I have taken my pets to Oradell Animal Hospital for at least 25 yrs and have always been treated well even in walk-in emergency situations. It is always spotless and I have asthma so I am more sensitive to odors than most. The waiting rooms are clean and staff is professional. more

Kind but inexperienced vet & VERY rude staff 3/11/2017

I took my dog here for an emergency today, and I ended up staying from 4:40 pm- 7:15 pm (mostly waiting time in the waiting room or the patient's room). The female vet who saw us was polite and helpful, but of all people, the janitor took it upon herself to MAKE FUN of my mother because my mother needed to wet a napkin in the bathroom for our dog and the janitor was cleaning it at the same time and didn't understand. She didn't know I was standing right behind her when she began to ridicule my mother- who was in the bathroom at this point- to the reception staff, who are generally very rude and reciprocated until they saw me staring at her disgusting display of deprecation. Instead of an apology, I received blank, awkward stares. I will NEVER be coming back to this hospital, because while the vet herself was kind, she did nothing special I wouldn't receive- with far less waiting time- at a cleaner animal hospital, and the administration at Oradell should honestly clean up their reception area and janitorial staff if they want to avoid losing longtime clients. more

Money money money 1/25/2017

This is a place to take your pet to die. They hire young inexperienced vetanarians who are only book smart and lack real world common sense and knowledge. So far they have put to sleep one of my pets and it will be the last. I took my 11 month old to them because he was vomiting and had diarrhea and they seemed to want to perform surgery immediately at a cost of $5000.00 - $7000.00 I took my pet to my local vet the next day and they are charging me only $450.00 to do the exact same surgery. What does that tell you (?) This place is only interested in taking your money. more

Outstanding animal hospital with brilliant Vets 12/16/2015

For the past number of years, I have taken my pets exclusively to Oradell Animal Hospital. The knowledge level and concern is consistently outstanding. In particular, Dr. June Hacker-Traiger is both compassionate and brilliant. Upon first meeting, it is clearly evident that she truly is concerned with your pet and will support his/her well-being in any way possible. Her communication with clients is beyond any expectations and is done in a clear and thorough manner. If you have the need to visit either the Paramus or Fort Lee office, make a point of asking for her. You will experience a warm caring smile backed with extensive medical knowledge. more

The staff are extremely kind. Office is the cleanest and most organized I have seen. The doctors have given clear options and treatment considerations without pushing the more expensive options for my dog with nasal cancer. When I put my other dog to rest a few years back the staff were very supportive with my loss and my Dr. Even sent a sympathy card. With the best trained doctors. Educated from top veterinary schools such as Cornell, I recommend Oradell to anyone with an emergency or more complicated pet illness. more

Excellent 24 hour emergency vet. My kitten was having breathing problems and they stabilized her and made sure everything was fine. They did not push for unnecessary and costly procedures and told us that if her symptoms came back we could return for the procedure the next day without being charged for another office visit. The vet and vet techs were very caring and obviously loved animals. Facility was huge, very clean and modern. more

I brought my cat Luna in to see Dr. Brown because she had been having some difficulties with her left eye. The front desk staff was very accommodating about getting an appointment on short notice. Dr. Brown diagnosed the problem and took a non-invasive approach due to my cat's age and general health. He explained things clearly and did not make the appointment feel rushed. He and all those who I saw for my cat's care were very kind. I will go back to them for further follow up and will recommend them as well. more

Thank goodness for Oradell! If not for this place, my babies would've be out of luck. Unfortunately, my pomeranians had a few accidents which required leg surgery. Dr. Carberry has been amazing on several occasions and my dogs are back to being active little pups. Everyone here really cares about each and every animal. Every time I come back, they've made improvements to something. They always encourage me to call for updates if I had to part with my baby for the night. Dr. Carberry always calls me personally even if it's late at night and she just finished operating. She is never too tired to explain how the surgery went and reassure us. My KiKi just got spayed and extractions here. They gave me a print out of pictures of her mouth before and after to show which teeth were removed. It also had a picture of her in recovery looking happy so I knew she wasn't alone or scared afterwards. You would think considering how many dogs they treat here that they would not be as personal but every time I'm there, all the employees always stop to take the time to tell me how cute my dogs are and that they will miss them. more

Oradell Animal Hospital saved my dog's life! My dog had some minor surgery for an injury at ANOTHER vet's office... and nearly died as the result of the anesthesia. She had hypothermia from the stress, and started bleeding internally. She was gravely ill. Honestly, she was barely alive. So we rushed her to Oradell Animal Hospital in critical condition. She got amazing care there, and now is healthy and happy. The vets take the time to explain things to you, and the office staff couldn't be nicer. They are up on all of the latest techniques and have the most advanced medical equipment. Yes. they are VERY expensive. But isn't your pet worth it? For local routine visits, I take my dog to my local vet (not the one that did the surgery!).. but for anything serious.. I drive to Oradell Animal Hospital. They're open 24 hours a day, so you can always get care for your pet. My only complaint is that they don't have a board certified Avian Vet on staff for my bird. But for a cat or dog with a serious injury or illness, THIS is the place to go! more

I had an emergency with my dog while I was visiting New Jersey, and I can't say enough great things about this place. While it's definitely not going to be cheap to stop into this place, but you honestly get what you pay for at Oradell Animal Hospital!! The doctors are extremely nice and helpful, especially when you've got a difficult decision to make. They're open around the clock, offer far more services than typical emergency hospitals, and go out of they're way to keep you up to date on whats going on with your pet with it's in hospital. Love this place! more

I cannot thank the veterinarians and techs enough for saving my dog's life. Max suffered from bloat on a Friday evening, and I took him to another after-hours emergency vet. He suffered complications from the surgery and needed to have his spleen removed as well. I was told to bring Max to Oradell to recover. Max spent five days in the critical care unit, and the staff was fantastic. Every day, the vets called me multiple times to provide updates. I was allowed to visit him daily, and the staff was very supportive and never rushed me out. Even after Max came home, the veterinarians always made themselves available via phone and in person. Yes, it was very expensive ($12k), but I am thankful that I could afford the care without a second thought. Additional visits after the hospitalization were also comped, which was very much appreciated. I am very grateful for all of the attention and care that was shown to both Max and me in a very difficult time. I wish I had known about this facility months ago! more

  • Established in 1961 by Drs. Gary Johnson and Anthony Palminteri, Oradell Animal Hospital has grown into one of the largest technologically advanced, state-of-the-art veterinary facilities in the world. As we continue to grow our mission remains to provide the highest quality, comprehensive, and compassionate medical care to pets while supporting our clients with sensitivity and understanding; and to serve as a multifaceted resource for the veterinary profession. Our award winning hospital encompasses a team of veterinarians, technicians, client service representatives, office personnel and other support staff all providing a level of competence and professionalism which makes us an institution of which we are all proud. The hospital is open and staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year offering emergency services at all times combined with medically advanced diagnostics and treatment. In addition, our team of board certified specialists are available to accept referrals of diagnostically challenging cases from your family veterinarian. Oradell Animal Hospital has two satellite locations located in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and Fort Lee, New Jersey that are staffed by the hospital's doctors. Both offices share on-line computerized patient records with the main hospital. Whether you are dealing with an emergency situation or your pet is being referred, the Oradell Animal Hospital stands ready to care for both your pet and your family. Oradell Animal Hospital is proud to be an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Our accreditation demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care. Since 1963, we have regularly undergone inspections by AAHA to ensure that we comply with the association's high quality standards of care. These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital. Approximately 17 percent of animal hospitals in the United States are accredited by AAHA. Our general medicine veterinarians are highly skilled and trained to take special care of your pet from birth through their senior years. We perform all levels of service such as preventive medicine, diagnosis of disease, medical treatments and emergencies. Your general medicine veterinarian will work as a team with you and our board certified specialists to provide initial and follow up care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some of the more common problems our generalists see include diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, skin conditions, ear infections, urinary tract infections, allergic reactions, eye problems, obstetrical problems, cardiac conditions, infectious diseases such as tracheobronchitis or parvovirus infections and common orthopedic problems such as arthritis, ruptured ligaments, and lamenesses. Your pet's health and well-being is our number one concern. A wellness examination gives us the chance to evaluate your pet's overall health and to detect problems before they turn into serious illnesses. Because most pets age more quickly than you do, it is essential that your pet's be examined at least once a year and as your pets get older, twice yearly. Additional testing may be recommended to diagnose a health problem. As part of the wellness examination a complete physical examination will be performed plus any routine screening tests that may be indicated. The early signs of heart disease can often be recognized during a routine health exam.
