This company was amazing! I have tried to sell things there, they wouldn't take them but they explained why and were very nice. I have also done donation projects with them and they have donated so many clothes to community projects that I have done. They have always made me feel welcome and I will keep going back there whenever I'm doing a collections for donations. Amazing company! more

This place is a ripoff! I brought in a laundry basket full of my 2 year old sons clothes to sell. I was told to expect a call in 7-10 days because there they were very backed up. I waited for 10 days with no call back. When I called this place on the tenth day, the girl said that she had left a message 2 days after I dropped off the items and that I had 24 hours to pick up my belongings or they were to be donated... I was so upset because there was NO call/message made to me at all. ALL MY STUFF WAS DONATED. I didn't even get a "last chance to pick up your items before we donate them". NOTHING!! I pulled my phone records to show the manager that I didnt' get a call or message. She didn't care! All she could offer me was a $10 in-store credit coupon. I was so appalled with her responds that I told her she could keep the coupon because I would never come back there again. I also have a huge mouth so I have told everyone I know not to go to the Once Upon a Child in Orchards!!!! Horrible P more

Used cost more then in Ross for new!!! 5/28/2011

Way overpriced!!!! No a friendly team....Once I was looking at baby clothes and I saw a new tag with a price, and gess what- they price was $.50 more than the other tag.. Go Ross!!!! I find there cheeper and new staff fr cheap!!!! more

RACIST 2/16/2011

If I had the option I wouldn't even give this business one star.I was recently in Once Upon a Child in Orchards Vancouver WA and was completely appalled by what I over heard being said. An older lady who I think is the owner, was quietly telling the employees to watch the Russians that were shopping because "they" are known to steal. I have Russians in my family and was so disgusted that anyone would say that, let alone think it! I will never patron this store, and will be spreading the word that this store is racist. In addition, the customer service there is awful. The employees are always so engrossed in conversation that they are too busy to help customers. more

Horrible! 11/10/2010

This Store should not even get 1 lame star...i have never been to a store where the staff is so DISrespectful and ignorant to other people..they have ALOTTTT of stuff and for even the ugly old worn out stuff they charge wayyy too much. I saw maybe 1-3 items looking from infant boys to 4t boys and found 1-5 things that were ok others did had matching outfits that they seperated at 3-6 dollars a piece when i bought the products new at babys r us and fred meyers,kohls for cheaper full price( carters 3 piece layettes) i will not be going back. the store is huge compared to the other resale shops but so not worth digging thru crap to find 1 thing goood. i barely saw 1 thing new with tags so maybe they take your tag stuff and do something with it..lol i HATED this shop!!! no customer service at all!!! more

Treat customers like pest 3/13/2010

I have went to this store for the last time. The customer service is terrible, and the prices are not great. I usually just shop the sale they have. I have not tried to sell so I can not comment on that. I am just going to stick to the resale events from now on, you get much better deals and I have always got more money for my stuff. \r The worst part of this store is the customer service, know one wants to feel like they are going to be snapped at for asking for help. \r The worst thing I noticed was them making fun of a customer why she was at the back of the store. It was uncalled for, and rude. I thought about telling the women, but did not want to embarress her or cause a scene.\r So my advice is just hit up the resale events, other resale shops, yard sales, or craigslist. Trust me as a mom of three you have many more options that do not require being treated like you are a pest. more

Dont know why... 1/22/2010

I have gone to this store once before, about a month ago, and wasnt good service at all. They were rude, unprofessional just a waste of my time and i wasnt in the mood for that. Well trying to think positive i said maybe it was just those employees. So i went there again hoping that there were different employees working, well there were but it wasnt much of a difference in how they were acting. The store is a little messy to. I dont know if theres a new owner since they switched buildings to cause i remeber along long time ago they were in a different one and maybe thats why they have snotty employees now...i just dont understand. But anyways im done going there. more

A great place for every mom 10/8/2009

I think this is an amazing store. I think some people are expecting the full amount of what they paid for the clothes in the first place and that's just not how it works. You may think your stuff is in great condition but they are the employees I assume they are trained on how to buy clothing and every employee has a different taste or opinion so that is probably why you see great stuff and sometimes bad items, Im sure you don't do your job perfectly everyday. I love this store and I buy all my clothes there and the staff has a few bad apples but for the most part they are helpful and friendly and I would recommend this store to everyone! Some people think too highly of their "nice supposedly new stuff" and really it is crap! more

waste of my time 9/25/2009

I am shocked at this store. I drive all the way from Portland just to come here and i had 3 full bags of clothing....washed everything...they took 5 things which happens to be the ones with the tags on them. rude young people working there. im never going there again. more

very rude staff 9/24/2009

i walked into the store only to be ignored, stood at the counter while two girls were turned around having a conversation which didn't have to do with working. finally they saw me after i said something got a rude look and it seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. they have cheap stuff and you pretty much get what you pay for. just very snotty service, so was the owner who i met.i will never go there again! there's other stores that do outright who have way better service and they know how to choose clothing right. The old store that they just moved from had way more toys and clothes, its way small now...no selection! just really just nasty clothes that i would never have my kids ware. more

Paid less at actual store 5/28/2009

Stopped in after dinner one night to see if they had a Bumbo seat in stock for my infant son. There were 2 ladies at the counter and one at the shelves and I stood there for at least 3 minutes before I finally interrupted their conversation to ask if they had one. I got a terribly rude look for interrupting and they just shrugged their shoulders, finally the lady at the shelves came over to show me an off brand for $20 (original new is $30 at Walmart). I stopped to check out the infant jeans & shorts and found 2 different pairs that I paid less for new. Not my kind of store, it's resale not vintage! more

This place only takes stuff if it comes with a tag or package - in that case, why not return it to the original store???\r They took 4 nice outfits with tags and were gonna give me 4 dollars. \r They turn around and sell for much more. Wrong, wrong, wrong. more

This store is one of the best childrens resale shops around. I use to own my own resale store in Tigard. And I will say I shop at this one all the time. They have large selections, very, very good prices. Used clothes aren't worth much people you can't expect to go to the mall and by a $20 shirt and get $10 for it when you are done! It doesn't work that way. With the economy they was it is we need store like this! I highly recommend it. Try it you'll like it! more

Maybe I don't go often enough to receive bad customer service, but I think all these reviews are mostly incorrect. The prices are great! But I will agree you don't get much for your clothes. But if you think about it, they don't sell them for much, so they have to make a profit somehow. The clothes are color coordinated, which I think its excellent, and I haven't seen many other stores do that. Consignment/resale stores are all about used items that other consumers bring in, sometimes they have certain things and sometimes they don't. People shouldn't expect them to have eveything they are looking for when they are looking for them. Plus the toys are so inexpensive! more

The WORST service I have ever had! 8/25/2008

Wow, I am a business owner myself and cannot believe the staff ultra-RUDE attitude! Actually only one gal that makes the entire store a big miss, the owners daughter if you can believer that! I enjoy shopping there and drive 45 minutes to get there, but after being snapped at like I am the "problem" rather than a "guest" I will not shop there again! I am in the process of emailing ALL my friends with kids and the ones that are thinking about kids. Resale is resale, no problem there, but if the staff is bitter and unhappy with their jobs- QUIT! It is not my fault you are unhappy! more

It was a good experince I even asked about the bad reviews and she was very honest about it, perhaps you others are trying to get stuff for free and trying to sell crap, will return at some point probley wont sell them mystuff I would get more from it at a garage sale, and the store was clean and organized and maybe you forget the RESALE part the clothes are used duh\r \r Did act a little too good for my stuff and I seen a lot of so so stuff in the store that way not even close to as nice as mine not sure what that was about \r \r \r \r PROS: CLEAN, ORGANIZED\r CONS: TOO GOOD ATTITUDE, DONT PAY TOO WELL more

ughhh very unfriendly on the phone! 10/29/2007

I called ahead of time to find out what they were currently interested in, so I didn't waste my/their time. I do this because they get snotty if you bring things they don't need. For some reason this woman had the worst attitude. She wasn't friendly or cheerful at all. No thanks for calling, no hope to see you soon.....nothing. If Spanky's paid outright I would go there in a second over OUAC. The only reason I put up with it is because I get cash at times when we are a little short. That's it. Don't go in expecting a warm response. more

They've gone down hill 11/11/2006

My children are from two years to ten years old. I started shopping and consigning here when the oldest was a toddler and continued through the years. Recently I have noticed that the employees are unprofessional and the store seems disorganized. I seldom find really great items anymore. I hope that they turn things around. OMG They are SOOOOOO Rude 4/21/2006

Went into this shop yesterday morning 15 minutes after they opened, 2 "ladies" were working both behind the counter, as I stood there with my basket of items to consign they continued to "chat" and did not acknowledge me for a couple minutes. Finally the blonde lady says put your basket down here and sign in it will be about 20 minutes. Then she continued to "chat" with the other worker...their conversation was not appropriate, they were discussing on-line IMing and relationships with their men and their problems with their relationships and such, and they were not talking in soft voices, anywhere in the shop you could hear every word they said. Finally the blonde starts going through my things, all in excellent condition, all season appropriate, she took 1 shirt and said she had no use for the rest...she was VERY RUDE about it. I certainly will never go there again. Just had to vent! more

Fun Place to shop 12/5/2005

This is a fun place to shop. You do have to really dig through things to find some treasures. The prices are very resonable with the exception of some of the used Gymboree and videos. They have some really great toys for infants and toddlers and very reasonable prices. The only flaw is the staff in my opinion isn't all that friendly, they seem more interested in conversation with each other than the customer. PROS: Large selection CONS: Staff isn't very friendly more
