West Coast Move 1/31/2011

I recently moved from San Jose to Las Vegas. I ended up changing dates twice due to the uncertainty of the closing of the house I was moving from. I also made a last minute decision to bring items I had at a local storage unit so Oasis had to send out a second truck... I have to say that I was not an ""easy to please"" customer but they took care of me and everything went great! The company was very helpful in a stressful situation. Ivan did a great job packing up my entire house. I am so glad I found this professional team to help me relocate! more

Crappy Customer Service 12/20/2010

The Guys that moves were great, however they broke a piece of furniture wrote it on the invoice and the office never bothered to follow up, upon the third call to the office someone is going to mail me a claim form. Plus there were a few hidden fees in the final price, the excuse I got was the owner was in isreal getting married and the guy I talked to was his cousin and he didn't know/understand everything even though I asked up front if they charged for travel time. This will go nowhere and probably would have let it go if they had had the decency to call me. more

Absolute nightmare! STAY AWAY! 11/16/2010

Having Oasis move me from NV to TX was an absolute nightmare. STAY AWAY from this company at all costs. The sales associate will tell you one thing and the movers on the day of the move will tell you another. They say it could take 14 days to get your items, then on the day of it becomes 14 business days. They try to quickly get a poor inventory to get you a low quote so on the day of they can jack up the price if you are over. They charge ridiculous fees for using their moving supplies. They force you to pay 25% of the cost of the move in cash or postal money order and fail to mention that before the day of the move. \r My stuff sat in a warehouse for a week and a half before they could get around to loading it on a truck. Then the driver shows up 2 1/2 hours later than he said and wants to push it off another day. A fair amount of the boxes were crushed and dented, two of my chairs were destroyed. I ended up unloading the truck by myself as I was already waiting 3 weeks for my items. I beg of you to not use this company and save yourself from the awful nightmare that I experienced. more

Our move in Las Vegas 10/30/2009

We were shopping around for a while before deciding to go with Oasis Moving because all the horror stories we've been hearing about moving companies in Las Vegas. We finally decided to go with this company for two main reasons: 1st they had a fair price and also because the girl at their main office was so helpful and patient. The movers who showed up were extremely friendly and did their best to make us feel comfortable about the whole thing. Pros: No hidden cost, friendly movers Cons: a little late on move date more

Fast and courteous movers 10/26/2009

I would like to say that I was more then happy about this company. \r \r I hired Oasis Moving to move me to my new apartment in Henderson. \r They sent a truck with a very short notice and as promissed. The movers that arrived to my house were more then just ""movers"" they were just so friendly and helpful. Though I did not have many things to move the guys were incredibly fast. Special thanks to J'avier! Pros: Smooth and professional move. Good price more

BUYER BEWARE 8/7/2009

I picked Oasis Moving and Storage because of the great reviews I read on line.. nothing would lead me to believe there would be any problems with this company. I am here to tell you BUYER BEWARE. I contacted the company and spoke with Holly who quoted us a very approximate moving figure of $1600. She said she would come out to our home and give us a more accurate estimate. The quote after the home visit was$1800 and some change. Perfect! We agreed to do business with them. An elevator charge was added, fee for the company to do some packing added and lastly Holly waived the ""distance fee"" the movers had to walk as I explained the elevator was accross from our doorway. The problems began after this.... and as I was told by the company, I should have read my contract more thoroughly ""BUYER BEWARE"". The movers got there promptly packed our items and then gave me a fee of $2900!!!! Seriously more than what we had ever agreed to. Had I not fought and argued for three days with several people I would have been stuck with that fee. They had our belongings on the truck and we were hostage! They stored our items and I called them requesting a delivery date that was 7 days out from the date I called and gave notice. They then called me back and said they had 16 days to deliver from the date I told them I wanted our items. They said they would deliver on a weekend (this from a company owner), then they said they would deliver on a Monday or Tuesday (this from the head of customer service), the driver called and said it would be Wednesday, driver called back and said Thursday morning, driver called back said truck tires blown would be Thursday afternoon. Finally yesterday we received our items and guess what!!! Many items are missing - big surprise!!!! I called this morning and the receptionist thought I should talk to a ""May"" about it; I called ""May"" and she said I should talk to ""Monique"" about it, meanwhile ""Monique"" is not in. I doubt they will ever find my expensive very large missing pictures, master bedspread, master lamps or bin full of our hardware. Did I mention the headboard to the master has two cracked slats, the mirror to the master dresser has the wood frame cracked, a TV stand came back so scratched it is unusable. Also, the driver tried to collect more money from us at the door and we had to call his boss to intercede! I could go on and on. I am not an unusual circumstance and I am a working professional. Just investigate a little deeper before you use them. And yes, I have been complaining to them every step of the way, because every step of the way screw up after screw up. Go with a larger more reputable company and pay a little more. This company does not have a lot of business which is why it took forever to get the truck packed with my items and moved with our belongings three states away. BUYER BEWARE Pros: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR Cons: WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE WITH A COMPANY more

Oasis Moving and Storage Arizona branch 6/9/2009

I have to let Oasis Moving home office know how ""far and beyond"" ,the call of duty, your office in Phoenix went out for us. Here is my story:\r \r We had our things packed and picked up on Weds. the 13th of May by Oasis of Phoenix. My son Thomas, whom is transferring to North Carolina, will be flying to Germany this Tuesday the 19th of May. Today, Monday the 18th, we realized he did not have his American passport to travel to Germany on the 19th of May, the next day. Flights booked, internship ready in Berlin; we had a problem, a BIG problem. We called and talked to dispatch at the local office and Ben Koren not only dug through Thomas things to find his passport but drove down to the local Fedex office to have the passport mailed overnight. We want everyone to know how much we appreciate all that Ben Koren did for us. Please let them know. Thanks to you; Ben Koren and Oasis, Thomas will be on his 5:00pm flight to Germany.\r \r Sincerely Kim Petersen\r more

Great price and I was very happy 4/30/2009

I used Oasis Moving and Storage and was very happy. They quoted one of the lowest prices, they were on time, and they did what they said they were going to do. It looks like some other people didn't have great experiences with Oasis, but a big company like that does a lot of moves is bound to have a few troublesome customers. Those tend to be the ones that speak out so I thought I would put my 2 cents in. They gave me a great price and I was very happy. more

Horrible Experience with Worst Customer Service Ever 4/8/2009

My sister is moving to Oregon and her furniture was picked up on 3/23 with a 7-10 business day lead time for delivery. We were told it loaded last friday, 4/3 and we would receive a call on sunday 4/5 to inform us of the delivery on either monday/tuesday. We had to call them on sunday because we didnt get a call from anyone only to find out it had not loaded. We again were told it was loading on sunday and would get it either monday/tuesday. Tuesday was the 10th day and final day for delivery. On monday we decided to call and see if it really loaded and of course it had not. At this time we asked to speak to a supervisor and she assured us it was loaded but the truck had mechanical problems, which is understandable. She said it would be here on thursday, now 2 days past the guaranteeed delivery date. Wednesday we call only to find out that the truck is now headed to Colorado! This is the worst customer service ever. We will never recommend anyone to use Oasis and we will be filing complaints with the approperiate parties in the Las Vegas area. Cons: We have been lied too at least 5 times in the last week more

Worst move of my life! 12/23/2008

These people ripped me off. They quoted one thing then charged double the amount (over $6K) to move us from Las Vegas to New Orleans. They packed my husband's medication, which was in a bag in a location I told them not to pack anything! They were supposed to deliver right away, but it was over the promised two weeks and he had to be without his medication that whole time. The bosses, etc. are a bunch of liars and thieves! The movers that delivered our stuff were rude and lazy! I was charged for stairs inside our apartment despite promises and paperwork to the contrary! As if that wasn't enough, the packing they overcharged for was not done well so we had many broken items. I've moved across the US multiple times as well as overseas and never had a move like this. I would never ever recommend these people to anyone other than possibly my worst enemy! Somehow they've duped some people into thinking their service is good and I saw on their website that they do work for Extreme Makeover - don't fall for it! Pros: Zion, the foreman in LV, was very sweet and helpful Cons: Zion is the only good employee this company has - the rest are all thieves, liars, and worse! more

Oasis moving - Good for long distance moving 12/8/2008

Few months back i moved from Las vegas to Reno with the help of oasis moving. moving is really painful experience (specially in case of long distance) but if you have hired a good mover then it helps you to reduce some burden. Oasis moving did the same for me, their service is really pro. it was my husband's decision to hire them as its a famous mover in Las vegas. also their estimate was affordable than other movers, and if i talk about their service, it was professional in all terms.Well trained team, quick and friendly. finally at the end of the day you will get true value of your money from Oasis moving Pros: packing service and value of money more

Good moving experience with Oasis Moving in Las Vegas 11/20/2008

I recently moved to Florida from Arizona about a month ago. It was my first experience doing it on my own. I want to give praise to Ty Pierce as he was extremely helpful and professional every time I called him. When I moved to Florida and the movers set up the furniture, one of them notcied and pointed out that the headboard was chipped and in pieces in the corner. I understand things happen and was not too upset about it since things do happen. I was talking to Andrea Orellana who was also extremely helpful and professional about helping me with this matter. I would recommend Oasis Moving to anyone. \r Respectfully,\r \r Vito Ferrera more

A good moving experience with Oasis Moving 10/7/2008

I used Oasis Moving and Storage for my move to Las Vegas and had a good experience \r with those guys. The delivery was super fast (They arrived in Las Vegas in just a little over a week),\r And the movers were very careful with my furniture. I have moved several times at the past \r so I was expecting some damages but all got here in one piece. \r Also everyone was very polite and helpful so I would like to pass that on to everyone who \r Is looking for a good moving company. Pros: Very professional more

Avoid like the Plague! 11/13/2007

Because of my husband's recent deployment to Iraq, we decided it best that I relocate back to Maryland from Arizona to take back my old job. I chose Oasis as our mover...and NEVER WILL AGAIN.\r \r Our move was set to take place on either 9/27 or 2/28. When you set up the move, you're given a 2-day window for the truck to show up.\r \r First problem: moving insurance. Since we hadn't purchased it at least 48 hours before the move due to circumstances beyond our control, we spoke to Nina at Oasis (no longer with the company) and she said we could still purchase it, just from a different company than what Oasis normally recommends. She emailed us the paperwork which we were supposed to fill out and fax back to her. It turned out to be the wrong paperwork. My husband called the insurance company directly and they emailed us the correct paperwork, told us to fill it out and fax it back to them, which we did Wednesday afternoon the 26th. \r \r Second problem: we were supposed to receive a phonecall from the trucker himself between 5:30 and 6:30PM Wednesday to give us an ETA. We never got one. We had to call Oasis the following morning (Thursday) and were then told the trucker would be arriving Friday afternoon between 2 and 4PM.\r \r A Mayflower truck arrived Friday at 3:30PM. Third problem: the driver's helper spoke zero English, the driver spoke lousy English, and he brought a stack of paperwork with him that we had not been told about by Oasis. Driver could not adequately explain the paperwork so that I was confident in what I was signing. I had 3 firearms to ship which Nina had told me they could so long as they were emptied of their ammo and their serial numbers and makes were recorded. When I pointed them out to the driver, he said they couldn't ship them because of DTA laws. Caused another inconvenience. Movers were at the house until 10:30PM and broke a few of our things.\r \r TO BE CONTINUED IN ANOTHER POST more

Horrible experience! 10/8/2007

Avoid Oasis Moving and Storage at all costs. While they are cheaper than most moving companies, you get what you pay for. They were 3 weeks late, rude, and broke a good number of items. There are much better moving companies out there... keep looking! more

All around great job 8/27/2007

I contacted Oasis after my contacted mover flaked out on me, leaving me stranded in Utah and having to report to my new job in less that 14 days. The agent was very helpful and in one day put an amazing moving package together for me. The crew was very nice and worked hard to get the house packed and van loaded in the two days they allotted. They delivered my furniture in Montana a day early and even before we have let Utah (we still had a few dogs and cats to load and move). The weight estimate was right on, actually a few hundred pounds less and the packing materials did run a little more so it all evened out from the original estimate.\r \r So far everything we have unpacked was fine with no damage. I have only two small complaints. Even though I asked them to be careful there where two long but shallow scratches in my hardwood floors. Fortunately they polished out fine. Second, none of the boxes were identified as to the contents or the room they came from. My wife and I feel like we are playing ""Wack-a-mole"" as we try to find something we are looking for.\r \r All in all I recommend this company to anyone who is moving in the western US. I don't think you can do much better and you can do a lot worse if you aren't careful. Pros: Estimate was right on, good crew, timely delivery Cons: did identify box contents more

Great expirience! 8/22/2007

The foreman and helpers did a good job worked smart and not hard.\r Everyone was very helpful and trustworthy. \r more

DO NOT USE OASIS Moving & Storage 8/12/2007

DO NOT USE OASIS Moving & Storage if you want:\r 1. ALL of your belongings to arrive\r 2. to pay the BINDING estimate/quote\r 3. to receive UNDAMAGED furniture\r \r I was given a binding estimate which means that the price you were quoted is what you pay. I received a call from a different rep, after my load was picked up (early a.m.), and told that the amount owed upon delivery was hundreds more than my set price. This was over and beyond the additional charges for extra packing and crating that I expected. I explained to the rep of my binding estimate and he immediately became rude, obnoxious and accused me of not wanting to pay. I told him that I had no problem paying, I just have a problem paying an inflated amount. I was livid but agreed to pay because he gave me the impression that he wouldn't deliver if I didn't agree to pay. DO THEY WAIT UNTIL THEY GET ALL OF YOUR STUFF ON THEIR TRUCK AND BAMBOOZLE YOU INTO PAYING MUCH MUCH MORE....OR ELSE?\r \r Once they arrived (the next day or so); the new place was 4 1/2 hours away, they appeared to be rushing to get things off of the truck, as if to avoid me noticing anything. Although I'm extremely organized and particular, I didn't catch everything before they left. I later noticed that several items were missing. Equipment (thera-ball, etc) that pertained to my job as a physical therapist was missing. However, I did notice the many deep scratches/damage on my wood furnishings (bed frame, dressers, couch legs, tray tables, etc) and the TOTAL DESTRUCTION of a 1-month old $450 rotating wood DVD/CD tower. They placed it in a corner of a room and hurried away so that I wouldn't notice that is was leaning excessively to one side, pieces missing, parts destroyed, wood chips everywhere! Thank God I had additional insurance. But that didn't fully reimburse me for all of my losses. The DVD tower was a total loss, I got nothing! and I paid extra for them to crate it!\r \r CHOOSE WISELY AND BUY ADDITIONAL INSURANCE AND LIST EVERYTHING! more
