If you have suffered from fear of 5/30/2012

If you have suffered from fear of Dentists, then Omni Dental Group may be the place for you. I have never been very comfortable with going to the Dentist, especially since my childhood Dentist did not believe in Novocain, instead he used the raise your hand if hurts method. Omni dental Group and Dr. Bodapati the Periodontics lady thattheyhave Specializing in Implant Dentistry is great . The office is incredibly inviting, very Zen. The staff is incredibly friendly and they make you feel at ease. They even offer free drink to my wife while she waited on me. I had to have a lot of implants placed and I felt nothing. staff are very friendly and highly expertised. I especially enjoy the tvâ??s that distracts and alleviates from the stress of having dental work done. An all-around pleasant experience. more

Great go to Omni Dental GroupHymeadow 5/30/2012

Great â??go to Omni Dental GroupHymeadow if you need your wisdom teeth out I have to say I'm not a fan of getting any type of dental work done especially my wisdom teeth so I was very nervous to start with. I went for my original consultation (with Dr. Patton) and he was very reassuring that the procedure should go well and suggested for me to be put to sleep (the IV sedation) which I definitely agreed with! They gave me all kinds of medication (prescription) so I would be prepared ahead of time. On the day of the only things I remember were the IV being put in and being in the recovery room after. I remember the assistant Marvin being very attentive to me making sure I was doing alright and helpful toward my husband of what needed to be done at home. They also took me to the car in a wheelchair just to be safe since I was still out of it. Over the week duration before my follow-up I didn't have much in the way of pain just some throbbing here and there. It was amazing that I didn't even swell or bruise! I went for my follow up and was asked how felt, I mentioned that my 'pockets' on the bottom were throbbing a bit (nothing too horrible) but DrPatton insisted that I should be completely pain free and he put coverings on the bottom 2 pockets so that they would be able to heal without throbbing, I will be getting them taken off next week. It hurt a little bit when he put them on but after just a few minutes they stopped hurting. It was very comforting to me that he did that and he is just the nicest person! I would definitelyrecommend going here. They took my metlife insurance. My Met lifeinsurance covers it, the staff is all very friendly and so is Dr.Patton! They will take great care of you! My best trip ever was month later when I went back for a regular dental xm â??ck-up and I had just as great an appointment with Dr. Kery Neal the General Dentist he was warm, kind and helped me understand the work I still need to have done. He also called me at night to see if I had any questions. I found a great place to have all my dental work done. more

Yes, DrMarcAmsilis Omni Dental Group 5/24/2012

Yes, DrMarcAmsiliâ??s Omni Dental Group office at Hymeadow is ""in network."" For every PPO dental insurance UI have had over the last few Years as a School teacher cost is important to me. I would not go anyplace else? Not a chance. I'd give this place more than 5 stars if it were possible. Every Doctor I needed to see was in his office all in one place they are great!! The office is clean , beautiful, and has parking at the front door. more

Very helpful 4/25/2012

I chose Omni Dental because of my new State of Texas insurance. They are one of the few that take it since they get paid less. I was nervous trying a new office, both my husband and kids felt like changing our environment. Very helpful. more

Extremely Helpfull and Kind Staff 4/19/2012

Wow! I am kind of shocked to read some of the negative reviews here. I hardly post reviews but decided to post one for Marc and his staff today. Everyone in the office was incredibly helpful and kind when it came to answering my questions. I know I can be a bit of a pain sometimes by the amount of questions I ask but they were happy to help. I think I just found my new dentist! :D Thank You Omni more

I will be coming back 4/18/2012

Worst Dental Experience EVER!!! 4/5/2012

I would strongly recommend searching for another dental group. Have you ever gone to a dentist office where the administrative office was over the dentist and their assistants? LOOK ELSEWHERE! As an established patient (with private health/dental insurance-spouse of a public servant), my family member thought they could receive an emergency abstraction since their pain level was at a 10. The family member asked if they would have to make a payment prior to the service. The family member was assured by the staff not to worry about the payment, they would be seen, and come in the next day due to availability the day the call was placed (understandable). We arrived extra early to ensure the service to be rendered around or about the scheduled appointment time. One of their staff members rudely insisted my family member to make a full payment up front before any services can be provided. When my family member stated they spoke to one of their representatives about making the payment up front (mentioned the representative by name), the staff member continue to insist the payment. Instead of viewing the situation of the patient as a priority, they view your money as their main concern. I asked one of their dental assistants for something to temporarily relief the pain until it was my family member's turn to be seen. The assistant agreed to help and stated they would bring my family member something. The same impolite staff member interrupted and instructed the assistant not to bring anything. She directed us to the store if my family member needed any temporary relief!!! To top it off, my family member had to wait over one hour and a half before they could be seen for the abstraction. Dogs in Austin receive better treatment than this! I was appalled by this experience. Just think, they service children too... Caution to the Wise. more

Satisfied Patient 2/29/2012

I have been a patient at Omni Dental Group for a couple of years now and I have always been satisfied with my dental care. The first time I came here, the dentist took xrays of my teeth and I'm glad he did. That's pretty standard when you change to a new dentist since they are looking at the current status of your teeth. I've had to have a root canal done as well as some fillings and I was always very pleased with the work. When I had the root canal, it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be and it healed nicely. I 've never had any problems here and the staff has always been very professional with me. more

WORST EXPERIENCE 9/9/2011

Omni Dental's billing practices are horrible! I have one word for you all, "Predetermination". Before you get any dental work done through these people, get a quote and check with your dental insruance.\r \r Also, don't fall for their phony "Consultation" fee. What a HUGE Ripoff. They charge ~$175 to take your blood pressure and to hand one a paper of pre-operative instructions. GO ELSEWHERE.\r \r I seriously could go on and on about my horrible experience with Omni Dental more

Go to another dental group 6/22/2011

My recommendation is to seek another dental group. Going here as a first time patient, I had 4 bad experiences: 1. They require you to come back twice just to clean your teeth. They did not tell me this when I made an appointment. The first appointment is xrays, and then the second one is cleaning. 2. They will not take previous xrays from other dentists. When I scheduled my appointment, I asked if they need my previous records, and they said no. 3. They charge for services without you knowing. I told the front desk and the hygienist not to charge for anything that exceeds my insurance coverage. Both times, I was told, not to worry they will take care of me. I received a bill a month later for an xray not covered by insurance- which I already had and could have transferred from my previous dentist if they would have took care of #1 above. 4. They will not budge for any of their mistakes. I had to call their billing office twice. They only have one accountant, and the first call she was on vacation and no one else could talk to me. I called back a week later and she stated they will not cover the overage, I should have been more cautious of my own coverage, and they do not care if I do not return. more

dishonest! 12/30/2010

I am creating an account on CitySearch just to say how much I hated my experience there... I have 4 main complains: - I gave them all my insurance information and they gave me an estimation. I accepted it. They started the treatment. Few weeks later I received a bill in my mail, but the final price was very far from the estimation: $650 instead of $80!!! :/ - The doctor came in 20 minutes late in the morning, I was her first customer but she did not give me any excuse. - The doctor tried to dramatize the situation and recommended an expensive treatment while my previous doctor did not. Anyway it will be covered by my insurance they say... - There are TVs everywhere showing Fox News. It makes me sick to pay for all these TVs. more

Seriously, do not go here! 8/8/2010

It deserves 0 stars. I had been going to this place for a while now mostly because it was on my insurance and the first year I went here it was not so bad. That has changed. I went recently in for an exam and was told that I should see their root canal specialist who charges over a $100 and then I would have only received a discount on his services, not what my insurance provides since this person was in their office but was not actually IN their office. The dentist was nice enough. Some new young guy. However, it took nearly an HOUR of me sitting in a chair before he came to look at my teeth. Seriously, an hour? Yes. I was also told that I would not be able to get in for a cleaning until November, a good 4 months later. It seems to me that they could have used that hour wasted of me sitting in the chair to clean my teeth. \r \r Overall, poor time management. Try to push other services that you may need but that cost you a lot extra to even find out if you need them, they charge more for other items (like a night guard that I need) and they are rude. I overheard the staff and one of the doctors chatting about their weekends and new cars and all sorts of things that I didn't feel was necessary when you have patients listening in. Please check out Castle Dental at the Galleria, that's who I settled on and I was very pleased! Dr. Collard and Maria are who I saw. more

Stay Away! 9/4/2009

I got a call letting me know that they were going to cancel my appointment the next day for a cleaning since I hadn't had an exam in over a year. The lady was very rude and in a demanding tone asked me ""why are you scheduling your appointment here anyway, you'r previous appointments were with the South office"" I explained that I had moved and she said ""Oh, well that's fine then"", like I needed her approval on my personal business?? Then she decided to change the appointment FROM a cleaning TO an exam and schedule a cleaning the following day. The next day I called to confirm that this was still the case as my appointment was for the following morning. They told me that I had NO appointments schduled. Then they re-scheduled me and put my appointments back in their computer. The next day I get my exam and confirm that I would be back the next day for the work that was needed and a cleaning, they agreed. The next day I wake up early again, drive 22 miles again only to be told that my appointment had disappeared AGAIN!!! They couldn't fit me in and I could come back next week. They were very rude and could care less that I drove 22 miles out of the way to be there in the morning. They seemed to be unconcerned that they were the reason I was there (they made the appointment) and even less concerned that they were the reason I wasn't able to get in (they didn't put the appointment in the computer). This place is so disorganized. All they had to say was that they were conducting a lot of interviews lately and had new people and had no idea who could have set the appointment that was now gone. I am now seeing a new dentist that has a much nicer attitude and is much better organized. Pros: On my insurance Cons: terrible service more

Omni Dental 8/17/2009

I don’t like going to the dentist, and I have AWFUL insurance. I do appreciate that Omni takes the lesser amounts that some insurance companies offer. I guess that means they are affordable. I did have to wait 5-10 minutes for my appointment. The office was very busy, but it ran great. None of the other offices I called took the state employee insurance, so I was glad they did. I had a great doctor, Dr. Marc Amsili, and his assistant was great, so I’d have to say that they are okay. I realized that my insurance itemizes every item as a co-pay, and as a matter of fact my insurance pays them nothing. They work for my co-pay only. Pros: Helpful staff, very caring more

Omni Dental is Great! 8/17/2009

After trauma and loss of my front tooth, I had a great experience at Omni. I went to the Hymeadow location. The office was beautiful and the staff great! I loved the fact that they had specialists on staff, and the staff stayed late on a Friday to extract a broken tooth. The specialist placed the implant the same day, and the general dentist made a nice temp so I can function with a front tooth. Thanks for working my emergency care in late Friday. And the front desk stayed until 6:45 PM just for me. You guys are great! A happy Omni patient. Pros: Very accomodating, professional & nice more

More unethical billing practices 8/14/2009

Omni overcharges their customers . They add various charges on top of what your copayment is. Went in for a basic cleaning (for my daughter) and they insisted that I owe more than my copayment for things they said need to be done. They most likely ALSO bill your insurance company for the items you had to pay up front. Just another way for them to make more$$. They really need to be investigated for unethical billing. The people who work in the front office are not very pleasant either. This place reminds me of a dental school--not even sure if these are real dentists working in here! Also, this place has a high turnover rate with their ""dentists"". Cons: Everthing that is not a pro. more
