Worst

To be a ciompany with a previous excellent rating it is gone down. Service is very poor.

Oh, what an awful experience 11/12/2009

Information relayed to Norman's not downloaded to repair man. Repair Man terribly unprofessional on the phone and angry (at me!) about omission of info. He went off on a huge tirade and ultimately told me he would ""work me in"" like he was doing me a favor. Oldest scam in the book. I could feel the bill being padded for this ""favor."" I contacted Norman's to tell them I wanted a different repair man, they suggested we reschedule for another day and the same repair man would return. Hello? Were you listening? I just canceled with them. Clairmont Skyland Repair coming out today. Stay tuned..... Cons: Terrible Repair Man more

My Experience with Norman's 10/9/2008

My Fisher turntable no longer turned, so I took it Norman's on Clairmont. They told me 14 to 21 days. I put down the $75 deposit. 15 days later, I got the call saying it was ready. I went & picked it up, paying the remainder of the reasonable fee. Back home, turntable's in place, plugged in and turning at the proper speed(s) (This one can play 78s!) I can listen to my Zevon vinyl again! I wonder why some people have such poor experiences and some of us have such good ones with Norman's. more

Worst repair experience in my life 8/20/2008

I have been trying to get my Sony tv fixed for the last 49 days on an extended warranty from Circuit City. They use Norman Electronics fpr their warranty work. After repeated calls to Circuit City and Sony Customer support/service, today Circuit City customer service told me that Norman's had "authorized" the ordering of the parts to effect repair. I have been told by Circuit City that my repair is scheduled for Tuesday the 26th of August if they receive the parts at Normans. The first call to Normans was on the 2nd of July. I would tell anyone and everyone to check with the store you purchase electronic equipment from and find out who does their warranty work. If it is Normans, buy your products elsewhere. I too echo what others have said in their reviews, they have no regard for the customer. I hope others will pass the word and save frustration. Pros: NONE Cons: Lack of customer service more

Normans Electronics Repair Service -A Nightmare 7/16/2008

I agree with above poster....worthless customer service. To this day, after nearly three weeks, they still have not repaired our TV. 3 times a no show, rude on the phone. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AS POSSIBLE. By the way, they are the service contractor for BrandsMart in Atlanta - so take that into consdieration when you buy from BrandsMart. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. more

Customer No Service 3/7/2008

Normans Electronics is at the top of "CUSTMOMER NO SERVICE" . Their service department totally disregards you as a customer. Both times I've had to schedule them for in home service has taken 10-14 days for an appointment. The first time I cancelled them after waiting two weeks and called my own repairman outside of my extended warranty. This last time 03-07-2008 the Technician was a "no show". His english was very very poor. He ignored appointment time and directions to my home. I honestly do not know how a company like this can continue staying in business since 1955 as is their claim. I will contact Toshiba/HH Gregg to find an alternative. Dissatisfied..................... more

Simply put: They're terrible. 11/9/2007

I've had to deal with this company twice, as Fry's Electronics uses them as the service department for extended Warranties on their Televisions. Wow, it's amazing this place stays in business. Everyone I talked to at Fry's gave me a sheepish answer about how they wish they didn't deal with Normans. I've had to deal with them twice and both times it's been a run-around. Slow or no callbacks, delays, and general feeling that they don't care one bit about what's going on with your repair. Avoid if at all possible. more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. 11/9/2007

They rarely answer the phone and when someone does answer the phone, they have no answers. Their customer service motto seems to be " Its not our problem". Normans has had my stereo receiver for over 2 months now and counting. The piece is under warranty and everything. But, they have no idea when they will be able to fix it. The part that was supposed to take a week to order has taken over a month, so they claim but have no idea why. Nobody calls you with any updates. Their is no sense of responsibility or follow through. Stay away. Its better to box it up and ship it back to the manufacturer than deal with these clowns. I hope I can save at least one person the hassle that I have been through. more

Save yourself a hassle, avoid Norman's 7/16/2007

They've had our TV for 8 weeks and have no idea if or when they can fix it. This from the 'factory authorized' service center. And they aren't cheap! $400 flat fee for anything on a big screen flat panel. If your TV is out of warranty, call the place you bought it from, but DON'T go to Norman's. The only thing worse than their technical service is their customer service. They seldom answer the phone, know nothing when they do and do not call back when they say they will. Run, I tell you, RUN! Cons: expensive, rude, slow more
