Thank you Neighbors Moving and Storage for a positive moving experience. Last time I moved was 5 years ago and I went with a very well-known company because I thought that would guarantee a fine job. However, they broke part of my china and lost a box with my family’s old photo albums. This time I hired Neighbors Moving and Storage because my best friend recommended the company to me. My only problem was they arrived an hour late to pick up my stuff, but that was it. No broken or lost items this time, and they even helped me to assemble some furniture in mt new place. more

Well, after reading some reviews about different movers in the web I was apprehensive to hire a moving company, but it was impossible for us to move in our own. So my husband and I decided to trust everything would be ok. I can't complain, Neighbors Moving and Storage did a fine job. My objects were treated with care and all of them were delivered safe and sound. They were half an hour late but it wasn't a big deal. more

I couldn’t be happier with Neighbors Moving and Storage’s crew. It was an unexpected rainy day, and there were a lot of things to move from my 5 bedroom house, and under the rain I thought it was going to be horrible. My actual concern was that they would stop working and I would have to pay who knows how much for extra time. They calmed me down, and told me that that happened all the time and that they were prepared. They remained active nonstop and finished hauling everything in a heartbeat. more

Good movers. My items arrived well to their destination. The quote was average and didn't get any surprise extra charges at the end like the last time I moved. I want to thank everyone from costumer service, to packers, to the driver. Very easy move. more

Good crew! When they unloaded my boxes in my new house, they were careful and delivered each one of them to their corresponding part of the house, which I found greatly helpful. They even helped me to set up some of my furniture, which wasn’t included in the deal. My mother used their services in Florida, and it was equally great. Needless to say, my moving experience was just great. more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY WERE SO RUDE 2/1/2012

There is not enough space here to describe how dissatisfied I was with Neighbors Moving & Storage as an entire company. My full review/story can be read at MovingScam under the Report a Scam message board. But the short story for this forum: I booked a move with Neighbors because I was on a budget. I had seen some not so great reviews, but I assumed that like everything there is both good and bad. I called and spoke with several of their people and all of them said ""It is other moving companies trying to discredit us."" That should have been a red flag. They all had the same story. They were trained in at least one thing...deception. I wish I would have listed to the bad reviews. I paid dearly for my mistake, both fiscally and emotionally. By the time my things arrived FIVE DAYS LATE I had jeopardized a new job, was living in NYC with nothing but an aero bed I had to purchase when I got there and no clothing or toiletries. No one would tell me where my things were as Neighbors hired my move out to a rinky dink company called South Moving Transportation. No one from either company was helpful and I kept getting the run around about when my things would be delivered even though I had paid $300 extra to get my things here by Jan. 6. My mom had flown out to help me and I had booked a hotel. I had to pay for another hotel room and a new flight for my mom and neither company has offered reimbursement. I have complained and called and emailed their people. Vans J., Chris C., Jay M., Prunette B., and Giselle H. I have correspondence (well lack thereof on their part because they would not respond) proving everything so please message me if you are interested in this proof. Do Not book with these fiends. I have never felt more emotionally raped and vulnerable because of what those companies put me through. Please read my full review on Moving Scam or my other reviews on Yelp. I wish I could explain the full story here, but all I can say is that I went through one of the worst experiences of my life. Supposedly the truck broke down but no one would tell me where. I was told Vans would be my personal moving consultant and I could call him but he never answered or responded to emails. Please save yourself time and money and hire a legitimate company. more

a seamless move 1/17/2012

Thanks to my moving crew and all of the people involved in my move, the sales personnel provided us with a binding quote, and the movers kept our agreement, did a professional and safe move. It was a seamless move, with no damages and no hassle. Thanks a lot. more

WORST MOVE EVER - AVOID THIS COMPANY 1/2/2012

================== \r WORST MOVE EVER - NEIGHBORS MOVING SEATTLE \r ================== \r Summary - \r Avoid using this company unless you already personally know the moving crew. It's not worth the risk getting furniture damaged by unqualified movers and hassling with troublemaker crews. It's your stuff, your $$$ and well worth your time to check reviews before hiring these movers. Internet search for ""neighbors moving seattle"" returns several websites with many good/bad reviews.\r \r My experience - \r I used this company twice to move my stuff. 1st time in early 2007 and 2nd time at end 2011. The 1st time was great. I got an excellent 3 person crew with good training, good equipment. They showed up on time, were fast, careful & clean, everything you want from a moving company. This was why I called them back for a 2nd move which was dang near a total disaster. A 2 person idiot crew, the only training I could tell was their ability to mark time, call the boss and slam furniture around. Otherwise bad attitude, damaged furniture & uncaring pigs tracking pine needles into both apartments. 3 pieces of furniture were damaged, a chest of drawers, an end table and a 40lb firebox. The chest & table were torqued enough to loosen the wooden joints and pieces fell off. Both of these pieces were solidly built & survived many previous moves so it took some effort to damage them. The firebox hinge now has 1/2"" play in it & how this happened is beyond my understanding but I'm guessing criminal intent because 1 of the movers asked me questions like - is this a safe ? how strong is it ? gdmn those 2 fckwits to hell.\r \r More details - \r For some reason these 2 clowns wrapped a few furniture pieces in blankets but did not wrap the sofas & mattress in the plastic sheeting and put the cushions on the floor, ditto the mattress. I had to actually ask them to wipe their feet before entering my new apartment and the older guy put a wrap down at the door. My expensive tongue/groove bed rails were stacked on end instead of flat, putting pressure on the metal tongues. The younger guy was mr.macho carrying a heavy table with 1 hand, stacking 5-6 boxes on some cheapo handtruck instead of being more careful and making more trips with fewer boxes and banging the handtruck down the steps as fast as he could. The handtruck did not have a canvas support strap so this is how the chest & table were damaged being torqued for lift. The older guy got me to sign paperwork & pay visa bill before unloading the damaged chest.\r \r Alternatives - \r Always a question of how careful you should watch the movers. I already knew there was going to be trouble after 10 minutes of watching these 2 idiots. Do I go into whip cracking slave driver and start busting their chops every 5 minutes ? I figured that would lead to worse problems so I watched what I could, was polite, paid the bill with reasonable cash tip and then started complaining to the company & on the internet. \r \r Should I have cancelled the 2nd move and called the company to get those 2 idiots out of here ? Possible mistake to let them continue but it is expensive to cancel because I already terminated/signed apartment leases & rescheduling movers. Now I have damaged furniture & some fading stress being pissed off at this crappy crew so it was a tradeoff between damaged furniture or cancellation costs. \r \r Company -\r This company was eager to get the job scheduled, take my deposit & verify the move date 2 days before but then after the move when I emailed complaints about crappy service no replies. After I posted some negative reviews on internet I finally got email from them replying that my curse filled emails were whacked by their spam filter (heh) and they offered to start the claims process for my damaged furniture which I declined because not worth hassling with this company anymore & my furniture is still usable so likely small $$ payouts etc.\r more

wonderful crew 12/20/2011

Really wonderful crew of professional movers and packers. We were so happy to see that all of our things arrived safely to location. We were worried about some delicate furniture, and some fragile glassware. Nothing got even scratched or scuffed in any way. I am very happy I decided to hire this company. more
