Editorial review from Citysearch 9/14/2012

Poor service and potentially health affecting practices. I have had issues in the past with prescription refills and had thought it was a Walmart issue. Two weeks ago I started a refill process and called Walmart for a refill and was told I needed to call RMUC. I called Jared at RMUC and was told they did not receive a fax from Walmart so I called Walmart again and once again they said they did fax it but would do so again and they even verified the fax number. After the second call to RMUC and speaking to Jared I asked for the prescription to be called in to King Soopers on 104th and Chambers. Two days later while leaving on vacation I stopped at King Soopers and was advised they did not receive a call from RMUC. I then drove to RMUC and was told by the receptionist that I needed to see the Dr before the prescription could be refilled. While explaining my situation the receptionist took a personal call on her cell phone and left the room. I was unable to see the doctor and ran out of medication needed for a heart condition. It will be over a week without my medication and had to set up an appt with a new medical facility. Convenient location but I will not risk my health to such a poor facility. more

I thought I would try out Rocky 6/5/2012

I thought I would try out Rocky Mountain since I was looking for a new PCP. I called and scheduled an appointment for 2pm and was asked to show up 15 early for paperwork. I showed up early and did my paperwork and at 2:45pm I walked out of the office due to the fact that the Dr. still hadn't made it to my room. At 2:35pm I went looking for someone and told them that my appointment was at 2pm and that if the Dr. did not walk in my room in the next 5 mins. I was leaving. The nurse told me ""well, it will be a few more mins, she is in with Roger."" So much for HIPPA! I went back to my room; a minute later the Dr. poked her head and told me she would be right in and thanked me for waiting. I gave her one more minute and nothing. So, I left! I told the front desk I need a refund for my co-pay and she tried to justify my waiting with the fact that they do Urgent Care as well. I told her what is the point in make an appointment if the Dr can't keep them. I had an appointment and the fact that someone else came that didn't have one was not my problem. Maybe this Dr should make a choice of what kind of practice she has; Urgent Care or Primary Care. If this is how she treats her patients that come to her for Primary Care she won't be in business long. more

I took ill while on a business trip to 3/20/2012

I took ill while on a business trip to Aurora, CO and needed medical assistance. Not knowing the area, I went online to find the nearest Urgen Care facility. Rocky Mountain Urgen Care Commerce City was closest. As a walk-in my wait was only a very short time to see the doctor. The staff were very curteous and efficient and took all the necessary history and diagnostic tests which helped Dr. Imoff determine I had contracted Pneumonia. Not feeling well enough to run around trying to find a drugstore to get prescriptions filled, this facility sold prescriptions right there.... a great service! \r \r Dr. Imhoff called me the next day to see how I was feeling and called 3 days later as well. Not your typical mode of opperanda for a doctor's office. This personal touch was very much appreciated. \r \r I'm sorry one of the raters had such a negative experience because mine was exceptionally positive. Dr. Imhoff and staff were very professional. They project a sense of caring that you don't often find often in a doctor's office....e.g. too many are already backing out the door the minute they enter the examination room! more

HE ALMOST KILLED MY DAUGHTER 12/14/2011

This person who doesn't appear to have a valid license according to the colorado web site almost killed my daughter my missing her appendicitis and calling it gas. Avoid this man and Rocky Mountain Urgent Care. more

HORRIBLE SERVICE 12/14/2011

They were rude, they took three hours to see me, and in the end they failed to look in my throat. The next day I went to my family doctor and was told I had strep. On top of that they charged me 380 dollars for tests no one did. That bill was a surprise coming a week later for a five minute visit from a nurse. They didn't have a doctor at the facility. AVOID THIS SCAM. more

Family Friendly atmosphere and a wonderful staff 2/7/2011

As a new patient I wasn't sure what to expect, but the front desk person, Cynthia, made me feel welcomed and was helpful in assisting me in my needs and paperwork. I walked in feeling short of breath and weak. Cynthia called from the front, as she stayed with me, to the back office staff. A male and female nurse came straight to the front with a wheelchair to sit me in and a few gadgets to check my oxygen levels, temp., etc. While doing so, they took me on the wheelchair into the back ""trauma"" room where a Physician Assistant, Katie, and another medical assistant, Velira (I think that's how you spell it) met me. Katie did a very thorough exam while Velira took notes for her. Josh and Nichole (who brought me back) hooked me up to oxygen and read off my vital signs. I was very scared. I didn't know why I was feeling this way. However, Katie and the staff made me feel so at home and eased my anxiety as they calmly worked to figure out the cause of my symptoms. They made me laugh when I was worried. They worked very well together and you could tell they were like family to one another. Each of them had their own job in my urgent situation and they did each of them so well. I ended up being very sick and was sent by ER to the ambulance. However, if I did not receive such amazing initial care and diagnosis then I may not be here today. I am forever grateful to Dr Katie (I know she's a PA, and tho due to her insistence, I refuse to just call her '""Katie"" ) and her obviously well-liked, well-educated staff. I was so happy with my outcome at RMUC in Reunion that I have decided to make the clinic my Primary Care Providers. I am so happy I have that option available to me. An urgent care and family practice all in one - who could ask for more. Thank you, Cynthia, Nichole, Josh, Velira, and Dr Katie (I know she's really a PA, but reacts and treats like a Physician). You saved my life by decreasing the severity of the outcome of my situation. I would HIGHLY recommend Rocky Mountain Urgent Care and Family Practice in Reunion to anyone and everyone. more
