I love kickboxing Astoria. Been coming here for over a year, and absolutely love it. The trainers are awesome, always give amazing workout more

I have been coming here for almost 2 years. This place is amazing!! Everyone here is so welcoming and always giving advice on how to improve your technique. I have definitely seen changes in body over the past year. I live in Manhattan, and even though there are kickboxing classes by me, I love the environment here...As side note, I have taken other kickboxing class which is joke compared to here. I also like that it is not a traditional kickboxing class, they add lot cross fit as well as martial art moves to the class more

This place is simply great. Great atmosphere, great music, great staff and great workout. The classes are challenging but fun and you can tell you are actually working out. After taking a couple of classes you will just keep coming back for more. Its intoxicating!! more

#LordBeASwimmingPool because that's exactly what you're gonna want to jump in after this crazy amazing class. \r \r I've been coming since June and am in love with this hour workout. I'm a professional dancer (noooo not that kind of dancer, an actual jazz/tap dancer) and kickboxing is by far the most challenging workout I've ever done. \r \r So if you're into the P90X nonsense or other boring at home/gym classes, do yourself a favor and give this class a try. You won't regret it! more

This place is awesome! I got a groupon for it to try out, since I'm not big on group classes, and I don't like working out because it feels like exactly that, work. But after my first class here I instantly knew I had found a new favorite activity. Classes are intense, you literally will sweat the pounds off! The instructors are all very helpful and really help motivate you and keep you going throughout class. I have so much fun in these classes, I even got my roommate to sign up! Definitely a worthwhile investment for your body and health, as well as fun! more

I Love Kickboxing Astoria is the best!! A killer workout every time ,awesome funny instructors, and everything hurts in the best way possible after every class. Beginners and experienced kickboxers work out side by side and everyone makes you feel super comfortable and motivated. I am not drinkin the koolaid either-- but I love this place!! more

After having my second baby I was determine to get back into shape. My brother in-law told me about I love kickboxing in Astoria. The first time I visited I was a little scared but decided to give it a try. The first class was not easy; I was completely out of shape. After each class I got better and better. I am still learning and improving. After 3 months I have lost over 18 pounds besides the weight lose I am in better shape now then I was before getting pregnant. When I returned back to work from maternity leave my coworkers could not believe I lost all the baby weight; it truly works!!!! The staff is amazing and very professional but at the same time they push you to do better each and every time. I truly love kickboxing in Astoria!!! more

I love this place! The workout is intense, dynamic, and pushes your limits. It's doable at any fitness level because you can always push yourself to do more. I hate working out on machines and the elliptical/treadmill are just plain boring. These classes are fun and getting to punch and kick out all my frustrations is an added bonus! I feel myself improving, getting stronger and faster all the time. And I've already dropped 20 lbs.\r \r The other great thing about this place is the people. The instructors all know you by name and it feels like a family. They notice when you're doing well and always offer tips and encouragement. And when you're slacking off they are on you to get your head back into it and push yourself! I look forward to class and am seriously bummed when I can't make it. But they're constantly adding on more classes- early morning as well as late night. You really get your money's worth- and the price is very reasonable to begin with! I definitely recommend this place! more

Over the years, I have tried everything. Spinning, step, running, circuit training, elliptical mania - you name it - and there has been nothing that has gotten me in better shape AND kept my focus and attention longer and more consistently than kickboxing. I can honestly say that the best shape I have ever been in is in my 30s, and that's thanks to James and the crew at iLoveKickboxing in Astoria. I love it so much that I encouraged my 56 year-old mom to join where she lives, and she has lost over 30 pounds and has arm definition for the the first time in her life - at 56! There's something about the way that the trainers encourage and inspire you; it keeps you amped and makes you work harder. I can't recommend it enough!! more

I could not give a more glowing review! If you are looking for a workout that will challenge you at any level, instructors that will motivate and push you beyond what you thought you could do - than you have found the right place. I have been coming to Moon S. Lee for almost 4 years for kickboxing and it is the best. I love the classes and the people and I always leave feeling like a (very sweaty) million bucks. more

I have always favored classes of some sort over machines at the gym (which I really, really hate), and lately I'd taken some fancy classes around the city that were all torture and while they were effective, they were no fun.\r \r I decided to try kickboxing because I'd enjoyed aerobic kickboxing in the past, and loved the idea of taking it to the next level and hitting a bag instead of the air. I found the groupon -- $50 for ten classes AND boxing gloves? That was hard to resist! So I went for it, and by my 4th class, I joined as a member.\r \r The team at the Astoria gym is a lot of fun--they're cool people, amazing athletes, inspiring teachers, and seem to genuinely enjoy being there. They're very encouraging. I love that they also have a Facebook group and send out occasional motivational emails with some great nutrition advice. Even though I'm still new, there is a family feel to this place, which is really nice.\r \r The first 15-20 minutes there's an intense workout that's tough. Since the instructors rotate, the workout varies. Then, you finally get to hit the bag, which feels like a huge relief. That's hard work too, but it's a lot of fun and definitely a stress reliever for a working mom and student like me. And again, the combos vary with each class so it doesn't get repetitive and stale. I enjoy the partner work we do at the end, followed by a stretch and bow. The music they play is pretty good, but I'd like to hear more variety.\r \r If you're someone who likes fancy modern gyms, this isn't for you. There are no showers, just a small locker room. This doesn't bother me since I prefer to shower at home anyway, and I love this location because I can walk or run home after class (I live in Sunnyside).\r \r I've committed to 35 classes and look forward to seeing an improvement in my stamina, strength, and technique. At that time, hopefully I'll sign up for more classes. more

At the suggestion of a friend, I signed up for the online web special of 5 classes and a pair of boxing gloves. At the end of that first session, I walked out of there a full time member, with a 12 month membership. It was the best decision regarding my health and well-being that I've ever made.\r \r 60 minutes of intense punching, kicking, jumping, lunging, push ups, sit ups. Really, anything you can think of that doesn't involve the use of weights. It makes you use your body to make yourself stronger, hit harder, move faster, and feel overall better about yourself.\r \r I'd recommend this to anyone who, like me, isn't committed to going to the gym and doing the workout solo. Come for the workout, stay for the camaraderie. more
