I come to Metropolitan Cleaners I am there at least once a week, every time I come in I feel welcomed. I look forward to getting my clothes because they always look brand new I dont know how they do it! My husband never complains about his shirts, so Im happy about that. I highly recommend Metropolitan Cleaners for their quality and tailoring needs. more

After having my clothes damaged or lost at other cleaners, I certainly appreciate Metropolitan cleaners attentive attention on my stains, button replacement and over all good quality service, Plus I enjoy coming there and seeing friendly faces each time i come. Thanks for taking care of me!!! more

HORRIBLE PLACE FOR TAILORING...STAY AWAY!!! 7/2/2009

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE THEY DO NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR! I TOOK MY WEDDING DRESS TO BE TAKEN OUT, THE MANAGER SAID THEY COULD DO IT, NEVER PULLED OUT A MEASURING TAPE OR ANYTHING, HE DID NOT EVEN ASK ME TO TRY IT ON....I HAD TO SUGGEST IT MYSELF. WHEN I CAME BACK THE DRESS LOOKED A MESS. THE RIBBON AROUND THE DRESS WAS MISSING FOUR INCHES ON THE BACK ON THE SIDE OF THE DRESS! I COULD NOT BELIEVE THEY WANTED ME TO TAKE THE DRESS HOME LOOKING LIKE THAT! THEN WHEN I TRIED IT ON IT WAS FALLING OFF, THEY MADE IT HUGE. TO SAY THE LEAST I WAS LIVID BUT I STILL REMAINED NICE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS. WHEN I CAME IN THE NEXT DAY TO TRY IT FOR THE TAILOR, HE WAS ACTING LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT THAT HE WORKED SO HARD ON MY DRESS AND IT LOOKED HORRIBLE. My Favorite Cleaners!! 9/8/2008

I have been using these cleaners for a couple of years now and have never had a single problem that has not been resolved to my satisfaction. These guys go out of their way to make it happen. I take my dress shirts and slacks in every two weeks or so, and have not had a bad experience yet. Even though I moved away from Santa Monica, I still make a detour on my way from work just to drop off /pick-up my clothes from them. They pay particular attention to the details and their service is great. Quite a few shirts that I thought were ruined came out like new after these guys worked their magic. I love my cleaners. I have been bringing my stuff here for ages. Everybody is so nice and i have ALWAYS been satisfied. I love knowing that even though i'm a clutz, they will always get my stains out! Keep up the great job!! Pros: great job, lots of parking Cons: none! more

They ruined a $350 new cashmere sweater of mine by putting a huge snag that unraveled a huge hole in the middle of it. I called and went by several times to see what they were going to do about it. They would never give me a straight answer. They kept lying to me about the fact that they were working on it. This went on for 2 months. Nothing was ever done. They wouldn't even give me a return on what I spent for them to dry clean and ruin it. Thanks Metropolitan Cleaners. I hope you know what bad karma is. Horrible service, lying & cheating are usual fare for these guys 10/20/2007

First of all, I agree that it is totally outrageous that these guys write glowing reviews about themselves online here. Talk about two-faced lying. The truth is that they have no idea what they are doing when it comes to cleaning clothes and they have messed up twice now, destroying two sets of slacks that I brought in (yes, I gave them a second chance....even after they lied and wouldn't honor a coupon of theirs that I received in the mail). Unscrupulous, deceitful practices; worst cleaners around Santa Monica & Venice area 10/20/2007

Avoid these guys like the plague. The owner seems like a nice enough guy, but when I decided to try out his business for the first time, due to a coupon offer that I received in the mail, he would not honor the coupon. He promised $20 off, but when I presented the coupon to him, he said that I needed to give him the coupon when I DROPPED off my clothes, NOT when I PAID for them. (By the way, the coupon had not expired yet). Who has ever heard of not being allowed to present a coupon at the time of payment? Ostensibly, the reason must be that if you get $25 worth of cleaning done and you present the $20 coupon AFTER he gives you the total, he only gets $5. But if you drop the clothes and the coupon off at the same time, he can tell you that he actually did $45 worth of work and still collect the original $25 that he would have charged. Sneaky, dishonest practices.\r \r P.S. The clothes that I dropped off still had stains in them when I picked them up. Poor cleaning job just to put some icing on the cake! Better than the rest! 7/25/2007

Ever since my first visit to Metropolitan Cleaners, I knew that this was going to be the only cleaners that I trusted with my clothes. Aside from the very hip and modern decor, the service they offer is as good as you can find. When I come to pick my clothes up, I always get asked if I need help to my car. They know how to protect your clothes whether by covering delicate areas or removing them completely and re-stitching them afterwards. They've consistently ruined everything I've given them!! 3/21/2007

Beware this nightmare place, Folks! I've given Metropolitan Cleaners chance after chance after chance for years (yes, I know, stupid of me), and every single time I bring them something, they RUIN it! First they shortened the back straps instead of the top straps on my bikini top. Then they put my dress trousers in the dryer and shrunk them. (They were supposed to have been DRYCLEANED!) Then they sewed a dress shirt in an absurd, totally unwearable way. And THEN, the manager acted all indignant, as if it were MY fault that they screwed up. Well, finally, I've learned my lesson: I'll NEVER give them the opportunity to ruin anything of mine again! Watch out, People: These guys have no idea what they're doing!! Damaged clothing and no compensation 3/2/2007

Although I received terrible service a year ago I decided to try them again; all I got was damaged clothing and no compensation. They ruined beading on a very expensive dress and claimed that it was not their fault because it should not have been dry-cleaned. I only asked to be refunded for less than 1/2 the value of the dress and was told that was not fare, it was not their fault. After being treated poorly I left with my dress and could not find a tag on the dress at all, let alone one that noted ?dry-clean only?. Perfect neighborhood Dry Cleaner 3/22/2005

Have always been happy with the service I receive at this place. They have great hours and always give me a short turn-around time on my dry cleaning. Prices are reasonable and I have never had any problems. Everything is always cleaned and pressed to my complete satisfaction. more
