Don't use these guys 9/27/2011

These guys are the least professional and least competent appliance repair people I've ever encountered. They were sent out by a warranty company, took my appliance away for several weeks, and when they reinstalled it, it still didn't work correctly. I called the warranty company who sent out someone else who said a part was missing. I called the warranty company again who convinced me Metro appliance should have a chance to rectify the complaint. Metro denied the part was missing, arranged to take the machine away again (I had to call them several times to remind they were suppose to come get the machine), finally took it away for TWO months, and brought it back only after I placed several unreturned phone calls to them and one call to the warranty company. Someone from Metro called me finally, told me off saying he tried to call me several times over the past month (hello, I have caller ID and voice mail--no one ever called), and angrily told me that he just wanted to get the machine more

Incompetent 8/5/2011

Metro Appliance was sent to repair our refrigerator through a home warranty company. On the initial visit the supposedly identified the problem and ordered the part. Two weeks later we still hadn't heard from them and got the run around on when the part would actually arrive. On the return visit, the tech said the wrong part was sent but went ahead and installed the other parts anyways - still no working fridge. We waited again for a couple of weeks and once the "correct" part was installed it still didn't work. Today on the 4th visit and 2 and a half months without a refrigerator the technician spent only a few minutes and just said he doesn't know what's wrong. These guys are either the most incompetent repairmen ever, or are scamming the warranty companies. They do half-assed attempts at diagnosing problems and take forever to respond to customers. more

Great service from start to finish. 3/30/2011

I personally had a wonderful experience with Metro Appliance Service Company. I read the past reviews on line and my personal opinion is that the people that wrote bad reviews only wanted a new appliance and will stop at nothing to get one even writing negative reviews. I have been in the customer service business for years and people that write negative reviews are themselves, rude and belittling. Metro Appliance Service gave me excellent customer service and excellent repairs on my appliance from start to finish. So Metro thank you and please don't let these bitter people get under your skin. more

Metro Appliance Sucks 1/3/2011

Half-as*ed work, zero customer serivce, no thought what-so-ever that you the cistomer are without a washer, stove, dishwasher or refrigerator. They are nothing but shills for minimal effort warranty service companies. Ask for someone else, you might do better and you certainly can't do any worse. The only company that cares less than your warranty company is Metro Appliance. more

stay away!!! 12/8/2010

Horrible customer service. My home warranty company sent Metro to my home to repair the leak coming from my fridge. The tech (Ron) was rude and smelled like alcohol. He promptly reminded me of the $50 service charge and proceeded to look at the fridge. He fixed what we thought was the problem and was out the door in less than 15 minutes. In this time span, he managed to remind me of the service charge twice. About an hour later, water was pooling under my fridge. Called Metro and left a message. Ron called me the next morning and after letting him know that there was still a leak, he told me that he fixed the problem and that I was standing right there. I was there watching when he 'fixed' my fridge and I let him know that the problem is obviously not fixed because there is a wet towel under my fridge. He immidiately became irate and angrily insisted that he fixed the problem and that when he left, there was no leak. I told him again that if the problem had been fixed, there wou more

SCAM..... 6/4/2009

The corrugated tube came undone on the washing machine in my rental causing 15 to 20 gallons of water to drain out from the bottom of the machine from my third floor to my second floor. This company was hired through an appliance insurance plan, and were unbearable to deal with from the start. I had spoken with Katie, the secretary, multiple times and explained what happened and she finally had a tech come out. The tech, Bob, didn't even look at the washing machine. I explained what happened to it, explained I had video footage, and pictures showing the bottom of the washing machine. He wasn't interested in seeing anything, then without even doing any work on the machine he wrote up a form saying it needed a new transmission and had an oil leak. Bob explained the parts that needed to be ordered would take five to ten days and then someone would call to schedule an appointment. I questioned him, and explained the transmission wouldn't have caused the hose to break, but he repeated himse more

Scam? BEWARE 7/15/2008

Via extended warranty we got Metro Appliance to come and discover that the magnatron has a five year warranty by GE. He then wanted $50 for the service call but didn't fix the problem. He didn't offer to call GE for me, get the part, and then come put it in. He called his "boss" who was equally demeaning in the way he treated us, AND he sounded exactly like the repairman. I asked if they were brothers and was diverted with other answers.\r \r As far as I know the entire company is two brothers with crappy customer service skills. more

Reparied Oven 7/21/2005

Warranty work, replaced the Igniter; only to install the wrong one, the damage caused required a second visit from another contractor. The unit was condemned, because of the damage installing the igniter. They should of noted that or ordered the correct part, or condemed it then. the next contractor said it was dammaged by the installation. SO who is to say. PROS: :-( None. CONS: Buyer beware , even warranty work more
