Worst Rental experience 7/18/2016

The agent we dealt with misrepresented and hid fees. We paid over $2000 to get the unit taken off the market yet it remained listed on three websites for two weeks after we made this deposit. The agent gave us outdated and flat out incorrect information regarding the building fees and policies. She also went from bombarding us with text messages outside of business hours to being unresponsive for days at a time. I will never entertain a property that is handled through this company again. Avoid at all costs. more

Sellers and Buyer Beware!!!!!! Highly Unethical Realtor! 2/13/2013

Nancy Alperin has already been fined by the Board of Realtors for her practices. That combined with all of the negative reviews about her should give even the most optimistic person pause. She is a disgrace to the real estate industry. She does not show up at appointments. She prevents other realtors from seeing her listings so she can get the commission on both sides of the deal. When another agent is in a transaction with her they will have to fight to get paid the commission which they have earned. Sellers think twice and do your homework before listing with Nancy. more

I have been a two-time customer of Maxwell Realty. They helped me rent my apartment and I returned when I was ready to buy my home. Despite these negative reviews, they have always done great work for me. more

I am convinced the this agency has fabricated the positive reviews on this site. This agency should be shut down. All these "customers"are just part of a big scam. No other professionals in town want to be associated with these people. Stay away. more

Refuses to Pay Co-op Commission 8/31/2012

If you do any business with this company, get your arbitration papers in order first!! It's the only way to get them to pay you what they owe!! So sad!! Business must not be good since they refuse to pay their bills!! Wish I could give them zero stars!! more

Working with other agents 7/12/2012

As the owner of a cooperating brokerage, Nancy Alpirin's Maxwell Realty si the worst agency on the planet to cooperate with. These do not show up for appointments, they demand your client's name before you make a date/time, and if they do show Nancy will try to steal your client. I urge you to call a a few agents in Center City Philadelphia and ask them how dealing with her is. She is the queen of dual agency which means double commission for her and less representation for the two parties. more

Professional and Caring 3/29/2012

Other realtors told me that this was a "tough" market for a seller and discouraged me from selling. Maxwell Realty did not get caught up in this 'talk' and persisted until I was completely satisfied with the deal. Throughout the whole process all their staff demonstrated total professionalism in every step of the process and it was clear that they truly cared for me and helping me sell my house. I highly recommend them to anyone in the real estate market. They are experienced, professional and clearly care about those they are helping in the real estate market. more

Maxwell Agent Saved Us Big Time 6/27/2011

My husband and I just moved to the city for his new job at Penn, We needed someone who could provide a couple very good options to buy or rent. We were looking for a good deal and we know that we have some leverage in this market. We really liked one of the properties that Maxwell found for us. They negotiated on our behalf but in the end the agent advised us not to do the deal after some issues came up with the title. We would have likely gone through with it. We did a one year rental instead. Maxwell left about 30K on the table by giving us this advice. They were interested in a long term relationship. more

Credit help/ a buyer now 3/22/2011

In the last 30 days I have worked 1 on1 with Nancy alperin to fix my credit so that I'd qualify for my FHA loan Nancy,s suggestions as to what I had to pay off& down payed off,since I'm now under agreement to purchase my new home in fish town Skill,& experience and her attention I received,and she was always there to answer my sometimes crazy questions. She's a lovely person & I thank her since I will be a first generation homeowner more

Service. Helped US Through A Very Difficult Transaction 3/20/2011

Maxwell helped us close a deal on a home. It was a very complex deal involving a difficult seller and we needed to get several rounds of bank approval. They seemed to totally understand this process and know all the players. We would not have our home if not for their very special attention. more

christine was so much fun to work with!!! she took the time to get to know me and what i was looking for. i'm new to the philadelphia area and everyone at the Maxwell office was so friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make sure my apartment (a one bedroom in the art museum/fairmount area) was perfect and that everything went smoothly. thank you again!!!!! more

The Maxwell staff were the first people who actually took the time to really listen to our needs and actually **HEAR** us. They tailored our search and we just closed on our new house.
