Dr. Mandel performed PRK surgery on me in November. It was painless! And the best experience of my life!! 100% worth the money. I would pay 100 times over. I would recommend anyone to do the surgery with Dr. Mandel. he performed Lasik on my mother about 11 years ago and she still is amazed by the results! Dr. Mandel's office is comforting and friendly. You are really being taken care of and feel like you are home. Thank you Dr. mandel for being an amazing doctor!\r more

Had Lasik surgery done yesterday and have to say that it was the best decision I've made (besides my husband and children of course). I went to TLC Lasik and they profiled me after one test and told me I wasn't eligible. One of the first questions they asked me was how much I wanted to spend. I told them $3,000 would be nice and that I was looking to finance. One test later, and not very nicely was told that I'm not a candidate. Mandel Vision ran countless test to see if I was eligible and also told me my options. Made me feel like I was part of the family. Now I'm reading with no glasses. Something I haven't been able to do for years. Needless to say, Mandel is way more expensive but I would have spent double with no problem. Thank you for saving my livelihood. more

In May of 2012 I had Lasik performed by dr. Mandel. Before the procedure I was very scarred but dr. Mandel and the rest of Mandel Vision personnel were so kind and encouraging that my fear was soon gone. With dr. Mandel I felt I was in the best hands. He is one of the rare doctors who gained my complete trust. I can not describe a pleasure that came with a clear sight without glasses and contacts as I hated the both. No more blurry vision when I wake up in the morning and finally it is easier to wake up. No more hassle with contacts on the airplanes. I can swim and dive without anxious feeling that I might lose my contacts. I know people who had Lasik performed by some other doctors. However, it happened that they had to go back for corrections. Dr. Mandel got it all done within 10 minutes. Thank you dr. Mandel for making my life much easier because finally I can see! more

I have never felt as though I was being more carefully evaluated and treated than I was prior to my laser surgery. Care was taken for my psychological needs as well as my physical ones. This wonderful level of care continued through and after my surgery. It has, in fact, continued to this day as Dr, Mandel has taken over my on going eye care. more

PRK 11/12/2012

I am extremely pleased with my experience with Dr Mandel. I had PRK in June, with 20/400 vision. I am now 20/15! Dr Mandel and everyone in his office always takes the time to answer any questions that I have. I highly recommend him. more

Dr Mandel was amazing! A year after my surgery and my vision is better than 20/20! He made the whole process very comfortable for me as I was extremely nervous about the surgery... It was the best decision I ever made!! more

Had lasik with Dr. Mandel last week, and I am now seeing 20/20. I've been waiting to do this for 15 years, but was too afraid. Dr. Mandel spent a lot of time helping me figure out the best option for me. I am neurotic, and his sense of humer has definitely helped calm my nerves, as my eyes continue to adjust to monovision. He is a great surgeon, and I would recommend him to anybody. more

It has been 5 years since my surgery and my vision is 20/15. Dr Mandel in my opinion, is the best in his field and extremely caring. I highly recommend him if you are looking to change the quality of your life, because it will improve immensely. more

Absolutely amazing! I was very nervous about getting the procedure done but the friendly and informative staff (especially missy who was my coordinator) and the personal time and attention from dr mandel made me feel very comfortable with going through with the procedure. The procedure was very quick with minimal discomfort. Dr mandel led me through everything that was happening and before I knew it was done. I had the procedure yesterday and see very close to perfect today (vision gets better by the hour!!). This man is a genius!! I highly highly recommend dr mandel and his practice. more

A couple months ago my retina surgeon referred me to Dr Mandel. I went into Mandel Vision for a consultation and have been grateful for the recommendation ever since. Dr Mandel and his team always take great care of me. They see me right on time, answer all my questions, and explain everything they do, including narrating my surgery – which helped me a lot!  (Plus, as another reviewer noted, Dr Mandel has a great sense of humor!)\r \r They've also been accurate in predicting each step of my recovery from PRK (Dr Mandel's Lasik alternative). While a full recovery may take me another month or two, at ten days post-PRK I'm already seeing better than I did with contacts. I can't wait to see how good my vision gets, and they're just as excited as I am. And that's another thing I like about them: Dr Mandel, the technicians (thanks Nancy and Missy), and nurses (thanks Kim and Crystal), all really care. Dr Mandel told me he loves curing people, helping people see. Thanks, Dr Mandel, you've done that, for sure, for me! more

LASIK 7/11/2012

I have been a patient of Dr. Mandel's for 13 years. He performed LASIK on my eyes in 1999, and I return annually for my checkup. The LASIK procedure was successful truly wonderful to no longer wear eyeglasses! and the care that I receive during my annual visits is firstrate. Thank you Dr. Mandel! more

PRK day 1 6/27/2012

Everything is great, Dr. Mandel did a great job and there is really no pain at all... Slight eye soreness last night but hardly noticeable as his lineup of meds has made everything as comfortable as possible. I'm still a little blurry but that's about it... Great experience! more
