My experience having all laser LASIK vision correction with Dr. Eric Mandel has exceeded all my expectations. Every step has been comfortable and simple. My prescription was never so strong that i couldn't manage without glasses/contacts, so i have gone through most of my life with only the near field in focus glasses when driving, in class, etc.. Dr. Mandel decided that correcting only the one eye with the stronger prescription could give me the vision I was looking for, and he was right. I should have done this years ago. I am still overwhelmed with the almost instant clarity of far away objects. In the caring, experienced and very capable hands of such a renowned surgeon I shouldn't be surprised that I experienced no discomfort during the procedure or in recovery. This crew is top notch and come with my highest recommendation! more

My procedure was quick and painless. It was nothing short of a miracle. To be able to see distance without glasses, 1 minute after the procedure was amazing. The staff and Dr. Mandel are the best at what they do I never had a moment of uncertainty. Thanks. more

I had LASIK surgery in the fall of 2009 and it was by far one of the best investments I ever made. Dr Eric Mandel made the experience that much better and today I have 20/15 vision thanks to him! I had LASIK in 1999 some friends had referred Dr. Mandel. When I came to meet him I found him very knowledgeable about LASIK and made me comfortable Bout doing the procedure. When I had the surgery the whole thing took about 20 min. I remember him tell me to sit up and being able to see the time on the wall it was amazing. I woke up the next morning and have had perfect vision ever since and was 12 years ago. more

3 months after my surgery, it's hard to remember what it was like to wear glasses which I wore for 32 years. The astigmatism in my right eye made wearing contacts impossible and I finally decided to look into LASIK. After a recommendation from a good friend who had his eyesight corrected by Dr. Mandel, I made an appointment myself. After a thorough exam and screening, I was told it was possible to restore my sight to 2020. 3 months later, it is. Amazing. more

I had a great experience with Dr. Mandel. At first I was very apprehensive about having LASIK, but now I consider it to be one of the best decisions I've made. My eyes are better than 20/20 after the surgery and I have had no complications. Dr. Mandel did an excellent job and he makes the entire process seem very routine and boring and that's a great thing!, which is entirely due to his strong experience and skill in performing LASIK surgery. more

Dr. Mandel in NYC did a great job explaining the procedure the whole way through. I have never had any problems and was even able to conduct military training on the usually dreaded 3rd and 4th day after my operation with no discomfort at all. I am currently seeing better than 20/20in both eyes and it has only been one month. Great experience! I researched the procedure and different doctors across the country and decided on Dr. Mandel because of his great results despite being a 5 hour drive from my home and after having the surgery I would easily have driven many times as far to find such a great facility with so many people that really care about your vision. Look no further more

My experience with Dr Mandel was great from the beginning. Each and everyone was professional and knowledgable and most ,importantly, friendly and caring throughout my visits. After my evaluation and meeting with Dr Mandel, I was given sufficient information in order to make my decision to have the PRK procedure to correct my nearsightedness. Dr Mandel explained the procedure perfectly so that throughout I was comfortable and relaxed. Today is my first postop visit and I couldn't be happier with my vision! As Dr Mandel explained the healing with PRK slower than with Lasik, but I can say on this first day after the procedure, my eyes have a little discomfort but the corrected vision is totally worth it! I highly recommend Dr Mandel! more
