OK. So I started reading the reviews on all of the attorneys when I was looking for one. I then came acrosss Mike's reviews and decided to give him a cal to see for myself. The secratary put me through to Mike quick. I found mike to be very personable and kind. Actually he seemed to really care. So, what was important to me was 1. price and 2. good service. Mike's BK fee was the lowest I found for the services he provides. And, Mike was very kind to me. I hired Mike and he really does work hard. My BK is almost over and I wanted to post this review now. I needed an experienced family law lawyer in Riverside County. Mike came up on my searches on the internet. I first spoke with Mike on the phone a few months ago. He was so attentive. He spent a lot of time with me going over my case. He immediately scheduled me to meet with him. I got to his office. He came out and met with me. I have always been reluctant with attorneys. So many of them are slimebags. Mike at MJV Law has changed my perception! I was referred to Mike from another attorney and I also checked him out online and the raving reviews hold true! He is very smart, diligent, compassionate and aggressive!! I have had no choice but to contemplate bankruptcy proceedings after being downsized after 22 years and my house began to go into foreclosure. I hired Mike and right away he knew what to do. If Mike Varisco reads this, I just want him to know that I am so grateful for his legal guidance in my legal cases I had with him. Thank you so much!!! For everyone else, Mike provided me with such excellent legal service. My business partner was litigating against me for breach of contract to the tune of well over $100K. I was forced with the dilemna of fighting him in court, or just filing bankruptcy and avoid the whole litigation ordeal. When I went to Mike, he gave me a very honest opinion. Mike also practices bankruptcy but he advised that I actually had a good chance of winning the case against my business partner. Mike aggressively fought him in court. We went to trial and won. Then the partner appealed and won the appeal. We went back to court and Mike won the trial on appeal. The attorney was threatening to appeal the case again, but Mike was so cool about it and said to go ahead and litigate against her again, we'll just keep winning. That resulted in them just settling with us. I got most of my attorney fees reimbursed and I was placed pretty much in a better position than I was before the suit. The whole case lasted for over 1 year, and it did not cost me that much after payment of my fees, and I just wrote off the balance of the fees that it cost me. Overall I was very successful in the case. Mike could have easily just talked me into the BK, but he really had my best interests in mind, and he was always right when he advised me. We were being sued for breach of contract and contacted Mike at MJV Law immediately to represent us. This attorney reviewed our contracts, warranty, and other pertinent documents and discovered within the contract we were entitled to binding arbitration and were able to collect to damages if we proved our case of fraud. During the arbitration I was so impressed with the level of knowledge Mike had in detail of our case and the indepth research he did to prepare. He was quite prepared, articulate, polite but aggressive, and did a stupendous job of laying out the facts and ultimately prevailing, getting us out of the original contract, and getting our money back. I highly recommend Michael as an attorney. I hired Mike last year. I was going through a bad breakup with my girlfriend. Mike was referred to me. What I liked a lot about Mike was that he was very upfront about the fees that it would cost me in my custody case. Ultimately the case was decided in my favor, but mainly because Mike was in complete control of the case. He guided me through mediation and the hearing on the custody and visitation. I was forced into bankruptcy by a very bad business deal which caused my marriage to break down. Michael Varisco handled both cases for me. The creditor in my BK was my former business partner who had the collectors calling and he tried to force a lien against my house in a legal proceeding against me. I would have had Mike handle my defense in the legal proceeding but I discovered him afterwards. Mike filed an emergency BK on my behalf which stopped the lien against my house. The collectors stopped calling. Mike fought my partner in the BK and we won! Unfortunately my marriage suffered as a result causing a subsequent divorce. Mike handled my divorce, and fortunately it was not contested because I was out of money after the BK. Mike gave me a great fee on the divorce because he kept the divorce out of litigation. He worked with my wife's attorney to come up with a settlement to end the divorce. I thank Mike because he really saved me from doom! more
