I brought my car in for service to fix a waranteed problem with the remote starter FOB. It only unlocked the front doors not the back doors. While servicing the vehicle, the computer to start the vehicle was accidentally cleared and it required a Car Dealer to spend 4 hours reprogramming the computer. Even though Long Radio started the vehicle to pull it into the bay, they claimed no responsibility for resetting the computer and stuck me with a $452 invoice.I The car dealer stated that it could absolutely have been caused by them crossing wires. I am now taking the matter to small claims court. more

Fast Friendly Service... Long Radio in Enfield recently put a trailer hitch and wire harness on my Ford Escape. I went in, ordered it, and with in 2 days it was there and i had it installed! Pain free experience for me. more

Arrogant and rude - don't waste your money 8/29/2011

If I could give them less than one star, I would. We bought a subwoofer for our vehicle there. Told them exactly the type of vehicle it was and what we were interested in getting. They said that one of them had the exact same vehicle and that a particular subwoofer would fit just fine. We went home, took the old one out and found out that the one they sold us would NOT fit (it required a thinner version that they didn't carry). We couldn't go back that night because they were already closed. We went back early the next morning to take it back and see if they had anything else that fit, but they did not. They refused to give us a refund, only a store credit, even though we only bought it because they assured us it would fit. There is nothing else I need there - I now have a $100 + dollar credit that I will never use. I will also never return and tell as many people as I can how big of jerks these people are. more

I had an appoint to have a car start installed at Long Radio this morning. Had car stats put in there for 3 previous cars and my family members had used them also. We they must have changed management - because they are not worthy of anyones business. They need to take customer service classes and stop being rude and arrogrant. After some unpleasant phone calls to get an appoint - they act like they are doing you a favor to just talk to you - I arrived at 10 of 9:00 because they told me to bring the car in by 9:00. The lights were on and an arrogrant employee was inside. I wanted up to the door in the snow looking for a drop box and counldn't find one. The employee saw me and turned his back on me. I tapped on the window and he put up his hands indicating 10 minutes. And the snow was collecting on my hair I motioned ""come one"" and he indicated 10 minutes and turned his back on me. So I got back in my car and decisded that an establishment that is so rude and arrogant does not deserve my business, and drove away. more

I had a sterio installed 3 years ago and they hacked up my car. Plain and simple they overcharge. Shop your prices people and many of their services you can find for half the price. Don't listen when they tell you your getting experienced tech's and service, their novice at best. I needed a spare fob programmed once and it took no more than 2 (two) minutes. They wanted $90! for a $10 part and $15 worth of time. I told the retard on the stool he was out of his fn mind and walked out for $20 and thats what it was worth! People make sure your car really has a chip and requires the additional parts for a remote starter because they will charge you an additional $70 regardless if you need it or not! Run from this place! Shop around people do yourself a favor. Lastly the star rating on this site is skewed also!! more

Great experiences with car starters 10/23/2009

I have had 4 remote starters installed, one after removal from a leased car. Their turn-around has been very good and I appreciate the night drop for leaving that car all day. I really like the relay that gets the rear window defroster going at startup too, having it retro-fitted to my wife's car soon. I would definitely recommend these guys to others. THE ONLY PLACE FOR CAR AUDIO!!! 5/29/2009

I AM AN OLD GUY AND MY 4 CHILDREN JUST GOT TOGETHER AND SAID THEY WOULD (FOR MY BIRTHDAY) GET ME THE STEREO SYSTEM THAT I KEEP TALKIN ABOUT (BUT IN THIS ECONAMY DONT HAVE THE MONEY FOR). SO THEY GOT TOGETHER AND BROUGHT ME TO LONG RADIO TO GET A STEREO SYSTEM FOR MY TRUCK. I WAS GREETED BY A SALEMAN AND HE WAS VERY NICE AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL IN GETING ME WHAT I NEEDED AND EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, CD PLAYER WITH NAV & DVD, 4 SPEAKERS AND A SUB BOX MADE JUST FOR MY TRUCK ( 2008 FORD F-250) SUBS, 1 AMPLIFIER TO RUN IT ALL, IPOD CABLE AND ALARM REMOTESTARTER ( HAD TO HAVE THAT) SO MADE MY APPOINTMENT FOR THE NEXT MORNING, DROPPED MY TRUCK OFF AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN IT WAS FINISHED PROB ALL DAY 5 ISH. I WENT HOME AND THEY CALLED ME ABOUT 3PM AND SAID YOUR TRUCK IS ALL SET. WOW ALREADY, I WENT TO PICK MY TRUCK UP AND OF COURSE ALL MY CHILDREN CAME TO SEE. THEY PAID AND WE ALL WHERE AMAZED AT HOW GOOD MY TRUCK CAME OUT IT SOUNDED PERFECT. THE INSTALLERS CAME OUT AND GAVE US A DEMO ON HOW TO USE THE CD PLAYER AND EXPLAINED HOW IT WORKED, AND THERE PRICES ARE ACCUALLY VERY GOOD ( FOR MY KIDS ANYWAY) BUT ILL BE BACK FOR MORE TOYS FOR MY TRUCK!!! LONG RADIO IS THE ONLY PLACE I WOULD BRING MY TRUCK AND THE ONLY PLACE I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR STEREO EQUIPMENT OR TRUCK ACCESSORIES, I JUST FOUND OUT MYSELF THEY DO ACCESSORIES SO IM COMIN BACK FOR STEPBARS AND A TONNEAU COVER. THE OWNER CAME OUT AND EXPLAINED ABOUT THE COMPUTER UPGRADE CHIP AND I SAID THAT HE PERSONALLY WOULD INSTALL THAT AND PROGRAMM IT FOR MY TRUCK. THAT WAS ROCK SOLID CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY WORK. ONE SATISFIED MOM WITH NEW REMOTE START !! 1/8/2009

I had my appointment to have my 4th Remote Starter installed at Long Radio. I was supposed to drop my car off for the day with Brain the store manager on the 7th of January. My Husband made the appointment when he purchased the gift for me before Christmas. Well, when the 7th came along we had a TERIBILE ice storm and my 3 children had school cancelled. I thought I was going to have to miss my appointment :( because there was no way I could wait for the starter installation with 3 small children. I called Brian and he told me not to worry and to take my time coming in till I felt the roads were safe and when I got there he would drop us all off at the Mall to shop or catch a movie. WOW what great customer service. Needless to say, I got my starter installed, the kids and I were kept entertained at a movie and was picked up at the Mall when they were done:) I cant express my gratitude and appriciation enouph to Brian and his team at Long Radio for their ""over the top service"" and a job well done. I made another appointment to have a heated seat installed in my car while I was there. I highly recommend to others !!! Pros: Very accomodating !! Cons: None !! more

TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE,VERY ARROGANT,WORST SERVICE EVER 12/29/2008

I am not sure if it is the owner or not...but I think he is. He is always sitting on the stool as you walk in. I have purchased several things from them and have always paid more than anywhere else. They are terribly arrogant and they do not stand behind what they do. The installers are terrible...they hooked up my Sirius radio antenna incorrectly and claimed they did it right, even though Sirius claims otherwise. Additionally, every other low profile antenna I have seen on a car or truck has been located in the rear towards the back window. They installed mine directly up front where everything and anything can bounce off it. It lasted two weeks and they would not correct it. I recently gave them a third chance to do something about it and they had another smart-ass comment. They do have a decent selection of products but the service is not worth it. Kids that want a great stereo... Call them for info and then buy your stuff elsewhere. I am telling you, they will not treat you right. They act like you owe them something and the arrogance is overwhelming. We work too hard for our money to let punks like this take us for a ride. The guy tries to act like he works for West Coast Customs or something...they are nobodies!!! During most of the year, the parking lot is empty and for a good reason. The only time I have seen more than a few cars in the lot is around Christmas. Please take my advice and spend your money where they will at least correct something if they make a mistake...and not make you wait 4 weeks to have it corrected. Their name says it all...LONG RADIO = LONG WAIT . BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! I never take the time to do these reviews, but feel so strongly about how badly these guys treat people, that I felt compelled to. The poor guy in front of me also got the run around and they said they was nothing they could do for him either...not for at least 4 weeks...Who has 4 weeks to wait to have a bad install corrected??? Nobody I know. Cons: Describes the people that work there. Also too many to list more

long radio is the best car stereo and car accessory place in the area. far outranks bestbuy, JODIs, and anyother store. brian and all the employees are very knowledgable with the product they sell, unlike the idiots at bestbuy. Their inventory is wide and always updated no matter what you are looking for you will find it there. definately the place to go for anything that you are looking for. They have installed many different things for me and the people that i have sent there. they are very quick about getting it done and do a great job. Pros: product range and price Cons: every store is not like long radio more

Long radio in enfield is definately the best place i have ever been ever for everything i have bought for my car..ive bought everything there; a remote car starter, new car alarm, new stereo system (speakers, deck, and subs) my GPS, and radar detector. and i will continue to go there in the future and no where else. i send all of my friends there and everyone loves it!!! the manager there is so nice and explains everything. when i bought my GPS he spent the time to help me understand exactly how to use it and everything that it was capable of and showed me EVERYTHING!!!! best service i have ever recieved. they were quick to help me, explained everything, and installation was done quickly and i have had no problems with it at all. just recently when i got subs put in my car i was able to bring my car in every few weeks for them to check up on them to make sure they are okay and to help ""break them in"" now my car sounds perfect..just the way i like it!! every one that i have sent there or that i know goes there will not go anywhere else for anything. the staff is very very friendly and VERY knowledgable about every question i had!! i do not know of one unsatisfied customer from there. if anyone ever needed anywhere to go for anything for your car this is definately the best place to go!!! Pros: ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! Cons: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Incompetent and careless install techs, Inconsistant priceing by employees & Very Very Poor customer Service practices. 6/19/2008

I received a remote car start for Christmas from LONG RADIO in ENFIELD. 1st problem, it took almost 4 weeks to get an appointment to have it installed. 2nd problem, when they finally installed it, the tech broke the clips that hold the molding on around the windshield. These cost me $75.00 each to have replaced at Enfield Chrysler. No problems until I contacted Long Radio about having the trunk programmed. I was told by an employee it would be $30.00. My son purchased it for my birthday but was charged $40.00 and not the $30.00 I was told a few weeks before. When I asked how much it was going to be Brian said it was $40.00. I said that was not what I was told, Brian said "" I told you on the phone it was $40.00"" in a short and nasty way, but it wasn't me he talked to on the phone. Regardless, my son was charged the $40.00. The day of the trunk program was a nightmare they totally messed everything. 1) The doors no longer automatically locked when the car was started. 2)The locks wouldn't lock after the car was remotely started. 3)The heat vent on the drivers side fell as I was driving home and caused a major problem with me being able to stop my vehicle. And mostly, they couldn't put the remote start back to the way it was. I had to return with my car on 2 seperate occasions and it is still NOT the way it was before they ""programmed"" the trunk. I was not pleasant during my last visit because of all the problems and run around I was getting from Brian. I was vulgar and demeaning. But rightly so, I had to go back time and time again for them to fix things that they had broken or not programmed correctly.
