Do not used this service, the list of the properties that they give you are not even know by the real landlord. Several of the landlords that I contacted had never heard of Locators. I'm trying to get my money back after 90 days and nobody pick up the phone or send me information, jut straight to a machine. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE more

Don't use this service. It sounds good, seems very easy but you see the SAME PROPERTIES every, single day. I've been with them three weeks and the list hasn't changed AT ALL. all they do is periodically update the dates on their listings to make them look new. In order to get a refund you have to look at the listing at least three times a week every week for three months to show you ""used the service"". It's a crock, don't waste your money. wish I hadnt! more

We were looking to get in a better neighborhood because the kids were starting to get older and we wanted a better “Group” of kids for them to hang out with out. We were living in Kensington and since my wife’s job requires that she live in Philadelphia, we decided the Northeast was the area best to raise a family after researching it for a while. We registered with Locators since a buddy of mine had used them two different times successfully. I was not interested in searching through the madness of Craig’s list. Since we were so particular with the neighborhood that we wanted to live in, it took a little over a month to find what we wanted. We ended up renting a house in Rhawnhurst that fits the bill completely. The wife is happy, the kids are safer and that makes this Dad thankful. \r Andy Baker \r more

So…… I found myself living on my friends couch when my husband and I spilt up, unexpectedly I might ad! Needless to say, I needed a place right away, like that day. The woman I spoke to at Locators was so nice, I was crying, I was cursing, I was a mess. She listened, got me to stop crying and said “ I can help you”. She told me they had places available for immediate rental and the day I signed up with them, I signed a lease on a little 2 bedroom in a Victorian in West Chester. So my life is still a mess, but at least I have a place to call home. If you need to move today, call them. more

I was looking for a very unique place to live. I am an artist and work from home and need a relaxing and inspirational place to set up my studio. They told me that their specialty was finding just the kind of place I was looking for. The first month, they did have some interesting rentals but nothing that was just right for me. On my 5th week with them, I found the place just like what I had envisioned. It’s a 2 Bedroom old carriage house with big old willow trees around it and a creek out back. The ceilings have the really cool exposed wooden beams & the front door is mostly stained glass! The main bedroom which is what I will use for my studio is huge and the view looks right out to the creek. I can’t wait to start painting in my new place and know that the perfect living and creation space will inspire me much more than where I have been the last few years. I signed up with Locators because my sister in law had used them a few years ago and said they had rental homes that she never saw advertised anywhere else. Since I was not finding anything that I liked in the Daily Times or on Craigs list which is just a nightmare to use! Well she was right! I still didnt find anything I liked the few times I went to their sight online but after about 3 weeks I did and signed a lease for a place in Ridley Park that is perfect, the landlord is willing to do a Rent to own after a year and we are hoping to own this place within five years. I absolutely recommend using this company! My company transferred me to Philadelphia from Cleveland, OH. I had 2 weeks notice to move my entire life and find a place to live or lose the promotion chance since it needed to be filled immediately. I saw a Locators ad on Craig’s list and they told me their company was perfect for me because I could set up appointments to see the places before I arrived in Philadelphia. I just contacted the places that were available immediately so the day after I arrived I had 5 appointments’ to look at places. The third place I went to see was just what I was looking for and even reminded me of my old place back in Cleveland! I was only stuck living in a hotel for 3 days and am now happily living in my new Center City apartment, not that I see it often since the new job is insane! \r Mark Jones\r more

I contacted Locators in July and used my credit card to sign up with them. Was promised rental properties within my price range and properties that would accept one dog. more

I don't know how anyone can badmouth Locators....First of all Mark Hunter was our agent and he was a blessing...a true blessing!!! We have been looking for some time for a place to no avail....Both my Wife and I have credit issues and no landlords would give us the time of day....So on a whim we called Locators, Mark was very intuitive to our needs and really made the whole process a delight...We found a place 6 days after we signed up...Yes you have to request property updates, yes you have to call the landlords....SO WHAT!!! Everyone that is crying saying how bad Locators is apparently didn't have the pleasure of dealing with Mark and even more apparent didn't do as you was instructed to ensure you would receive all possible property updates....WE DID AND MOVED IN 6 DAYS!!!!! CALL THEM AND TRY TO GET MARK@ EXT#603......THANKS AGAIN....WE LOVE YOU MARK!!!! :-) more

DO NOT USE! SAVE YOUR MONEY! None of them promising places in the newspaper for locators will be there when you sign up. Any of them you see will never show up. They won't refund you if you find a place without using their service like they say they do. Locators will not call you back when you try to discuss getting the refund with them. Don't listen to them when they say you have to follow it like they want you to. All that means is you have to ask for an updated list EVERY day. So if you have a life and miss a day, you're not 'following the program'. If you think they are going to ""help you find a place"" then think again. They will simply give you a short list of properties and then youre on your own. You're better off spending $.75 for a newspaper than $200 for this crap. more

After using Locators inc for just a week I'm done. NO ONE USE THEM. There listings are a joke. They just told me that the computer updates everything! I was told that they were going to give me the world and so far just a pain in my butt. more

I signed up with them today, and specifically indicated that I was looking for property in South Jersey, Camden County. I paid the money, and when I went to the website, I was sent results from Philadelphia. I tried calling them more than 10 times, and nobody answered the telephone. more

I had a week to move (next friday) or else in was straight to a hotel w/ 4 of us. I was calling ppl up last night, did some drive-bys, bright and early this morning landlord called me back n sent pics. I'm moving in today, place looks real nice from what i can see. 650 a mo no credit check, and single floor since my mother in law. Bob was straight up w me told me how it works n gave me tips. -only downside is not ALL the Landlords give u the money back. but truthfully we were in a bind and i was real stressed and I talked to bob and not even 24 hours later everything was better. more

I found a place through them and the landlord reimbursed the fee I paid to Locators so it was a win, win! more

Pretty cool concept this is! I work about 65 to 70 hours a week and needed to move to a larger apartment since I work out of my home a couple days a week and I was starting to drown in paperwork in my little one bedroom on Arch St. I have no time to search through a bunch of newspapers and 10 different web sites every day so after talking to Ed, one of their reps I signed up right over the phone. He gave me access to their web site and I had password to get in to my own personal site that showed me everything that matched what I was looking for. I looked every morning at 5 AM while I drank my coffee, some days there were a lot of new places to check out, some days not. I liked it because their website gives you all the information about the places so I didn?t even have to waste time calling some of them because they didn?t have exactly what I wanted. I found the perfect place in a little less than a month and finally moved in last week. I love all the room I have, a great city view and all the amenities I needed. This was a fantastic way for me to have a lot of options with no time to search. Will recommend them to my co-workers and friends. more

I am not satisfied at all with using this place. I was very specific with where I was looking and they assured me they had rentals in the area I was looking in. I've only been using this site for 2 weeks now and there is nothing in my wanted area. All it is, are listings from the newspapers or craigslist that I could collect myself. I view the online listing EVERYDAY, and nothing new. I can say I would never use them again a waste of money. Almost 200.00 for, nothing. I am sure I am going to be told that I didn't follow protacal when it comes time for me to want a refund. I am disgusted with this place and mad at myself for allowing myself to fall for this scam of a place. I am usually very ""safe"" and do not do things like this, but I am in desperate need of a place to live. Live and learn I guess, but take it from me and obviously others, this place is not worth it. more

Absolutely horrible!!! Not only do they steal your money, they call you a liar, not in a roundabout way either, they came right out and called me a liar when I tried to get my refund and told me that I did not live up to my end of the contract. I did EVERYTHING in the contract but they called me a liar and said I was not getting a refund. I have now forwarded a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and have contacted my attorney who has told me..in these exact words..""Yes, I've dealt with these morons before, and won every time!"" Do yourself a favor, don't bother, the listings were the same crappy listings week in and week out, they take the listings straight from the newspapers and copy them and they are all, for the most part anyway, in horrible parts of town. If I had a death wish, maybe I could have found a place to live. And of the apartments that I actually did go to look at, I got berated at half of them, because not only did Locators copy the listings, they copied them wrong! Just run now, check Craigs List for an apartment, check the papers, steer clear of Locators and save your money and the hassle of having to get an attorney to get it back! more

I am less then thrilled about this company. I should have known that it wouldnt work out. My husband and I needed to find a place by Oct. At that time there wasnt anything anygood in the papers. We saw their ad and went for it dispite our gut feelings about it. We looked online every week for the first month. I went out once a week to our target area to scout out the listings that I had found on their website. We looked at a couple and didnt find one to fit our needs...perferrably homes that werent as run down as some of the ones we looked at. And yes i know the disclaimer says that they are not responsible for the conditions of the homes. Its not that we were looking for million dollar mansions but something that was somewhat nice would have been nice. Just wanted to forwarn you all out there that things arent always as they seem and you'll get what you pay for with those homes unless your in a college town like we are then you will get crap for a high price. more

Be careful with this service. Some of the listings are places that you will not find on Craigslist and the like, and they are qualified leads, but you are paying a premium charge for a really basic service, and sub-basic support. The refund policy is structured like a credit card offer (make sure that you follow it to the ""T"", or you will be SOL), so make sure that you read the fine print and follow it or you will not be getting a refund! Also,use the online service if you choose to subscribe. Personally, I would not use the service again. I would just go on Craigslist or ask my friends for ideas. more
