Lazy Sexist and Unprofessional 5/19/2009

Awful move. They movers were lazy. My partner and I carried more things out to the truck then they did. And at least we didn't break anything. They were sexist and rude, too, constantly making comments. Hey guys--I know I'm gay, you don't have to tell me that! When I complained to the office, they just laughed at me. IF YOU WANT YOUR BELONGINGS DESTOYED, THEN CALL LIGHTNING VAN LINES! 4/30/2009

Based on some great reviews, I chose Lightning Van Lines for a cross country move. Unfortunately, my experience was HORRIFIC. \r \r The movers were incredibly unprofessional. Lightning HELD MY GOODS HOSTAGE, insisting I pay way more than the 110% of the estimate allowed by law before releasing them...And to make matters worse, they DESTROYED my furniture and other possessions. Half the boxes were SOAKING WET from water damage. \r \r And while they promised to compensate me for the damage, I'm in a Kafkaesque Catch-22 situation to get them to actually pay up. AVOID. more

Reliable Service 4/28/2009

Always moves are considered to be serious but not all of them are of the same kind. Funny things happened to us as we were planning our move. We reserved space with another company that was supposed to pick us up last Friday or Saturday. Come Saturday we never received a call from that company despite leaving 100 messages. That's when we got extremely nervous and started to panic. We found this site and Lightning Van Lines on it. We went to the site and received calls from a few companies and the one we chose actually picked us up the same day. They really did a great job so thank you for your help.\r more

I researched on the service of several movers and finally chose Lightning Van Lines. I was very happy with the movers they sent they did a wonderful move for us. My mother is very old and needed a lot of help with the move. They gave us a good moving estimate and did an even better moving job. more

Lightning Van Lines moved me to my new house. There were several things required to be done but my movers took care of every single thing. They also provided several important tips that really helped me for getting little prepared for my move. This was my first move and was little worried; I heard several warning from my friends, hence that really scared me. But now as my move is over, I can tell you that Lightning Van Lines did a great job. They were patient enough to explain me everything. They were responsible and smart with their work. Everybody in the crew was experienced and trained, their work demonstrated so. I do recommend them.\r more

There are several things in life that we enjoy though they are referred to be the most troublesome ones. Moving with Lightning Van Lines was a sure pleasure. I will not tell you that it was like a holiday trip or a picnic but not painful like the common relocating process. My move is over probably a few weeks ago but as I was busy settling down so just thought of telling you guys about the service I received from Lightning Van Lines. It was one of the very urgent moves. At first I contacted a local mover that did not turn up the last minute. So called up the next one in the selection list. I’m grateful to them as they could have rejected my offer but did not do so, moreover they did not charge me any extra for this. more

I thought of moving all by myself to cut down my expenses. Checked few moving sites and compiled all the good and worthy moving tips. Followed the tips for packing but it was not that easy. As we all know “it is easier said than done”. I somehow managed to make little preparation here and there and unfortunately I was pretty late to appoint a moving company. At last decided to hire a mover. Tried getting quotes but did not like it. At last spoke with a representative of Lightning Van Lines. Though it was not that cost effective but the move was very good. They took care of all my stuffs. I was impressed with the service provided by them. At last I realized that the money was worth the move. more

Good Service 4/22/2009

I moved with my whole family to New Jersey. I collected quotes from several moving companies but selected this moving company as I liked the website. The color combination of this website was impressive. All the quotes that I received were all most same. Lightning Van Lines was not cheap; I don’t want to say that they were expensive, but moderate. Actually all the moving companies were unknown to me. So I just picked it up randomly. The move was not bad. It was a good one. The company was very responsible and careful. I would like to recommend them to everybody. more
