I just got off the phone with Eithan from Lightning Van Lines to thank him for the wonderful job that Lightning Van Lines did with my move and I just had to tell people about it.\r First off, they bent over backwards to make my move on April 14th work with my schedule on such short notice. The guys were at my house promptly at 8am in Hermosa Beach. The two-man crew worked worked fast and had everything loaded out of my house in an hour. They then had to stop at my storage unit and pick up a couple of large items on the way to the final destination. By the time they were done at my new place in Cerritos, it was 11:10. Yup, just over three hours!\r Simply put, they worked hard, they were fast, nothing got broken and their price was among the lowest I found.\r It was the best $350 I ever spent. I'll never rent a U-Haul again! more

Lightning Van Lines crew was excellent, professional, punctual and very personal! The move was set up taking into consideration the smallest of details. They patiently worked through many different scenarios (moving dates, items to be moved, etc) until I could figure out the best plan for my move. This made things so much easier and I am very satisfied with the service. more

Hi guys! I want to tell you about a great moving company. I know I know; a moving company?How can they be good? Well it was such a pleasure to work with Lightning Van Lines. I?ve moved a few times and always had a nightmare story to tell. This time is different. Of course a few things got damaged it?s just the way it is moving cross country nothing too bad but while I was on the phone with the customer service lady she ordered the part for my bookcase that got damaged. Normally I would have to make phone call after phone call and get nowhere. The piece came and I put the bookcase back together good as new. I appreciate the extra effort. more

My husband and I recently moved from Los Angeles to Washington to be near our grandkids. I have tendonitis in my hand and my husband is in need of a new hip. Yes, what a pair. We needed young strong guys to help us pack up and move. I registered with www.moving. They had several companies come out and give us quotes. After all the hoopla and too high of promises I chose to go with Lightning Van Lines because they seemed honest and didn’t promise the world. Nancy told it like it was when she came to our home to give us a visual estimate. On the day of the move three young strong men came and quickly packed up our home of 42 years. I thought it would take days but they arrived early in the morning and were done just before dinner. They even packed some of my most precious belongings in our trailer. Lightning has free storage for one month so we spent the next two weeks traveling in our home on wheels up the coast visiting friends and making new ones. When we knew our arrival date in Spokane, we gave them a call. Our worldly possessions arrived just a few days after we closed on our new house. I moved two weeks ago and had a surprisingly easy time. I didn?t have the time to pack and move myself so I called a few moving companies. The prices were all over the board. I finally went with the company that made me feel the most comfortable. Their price was somewhat in the middle. Mark came out and looked at what I had to pack and move. He explained to me that his price was firm. On moving day three uniformed guys showed up and quickly got to work packing all my stuff and out the door it went. Four hours later it was coming off the truck at my new house. If I would have known it could have been this easy I would have done it the last two times I moved. more

I?m really surprised that my move went off without a hitch. Moving in the dead of winter from NY to CA, what was I thinking? By the way love this CA weather, just wanted to get the heck out of NY. I asked everyone I knew who had moved into my building, most of them had horrible experiences. One of them recommended Lightning Van Lines. So I decided to give them a call. Everyone was wonderful from the sales guy on the phone to the movers who were very friendly and easy to communicate with. The sales guy asked the right questions to figure out what I was shipping across the country and the final price didn?t vary that much. When the movers got there they saw that a few items I packed needed a better packing job to arrive safely; I agreed and my TV and great grandma?s tea set arrived unharmed. We needed to move fast; we were stressed we had to decided whether to put the house up for sale in this market or to rent it out. My husband’s company had a furnished rental house for us to stay in until we got settled and found a permanent home. We chose Lightning Van Lines to pack & move us to Texas. My husband was busy at work and I was instructed by my doctor to take it easy. The packers/movers came in and quickly got to work. They were very friendly and made me feel more at ease. They itemized everything and were extra careful with my wedding china. They built boxes for my TV’s and very expensive bed. The price was good and because I had a salesperson come to my house look at what I was moving he was able to give me a firm price and it did not change. LVL also had one month’s free storage which was very helpful. We Fed-Ex’d what we needed right away in Texas and began our journey. We found a house within the first month but closing took forever. When we were ready we made an appt with Lightning to have our things brought to us. They store things in CA so it took a week for our things to get to Texas but when it did; it arrived in perfect condition and all I had to do was point and the movers put my furniture where I wanted it.
