Peaceful move 9/30/2009

This is just a small note to inform people about the fantastic services provided by Lightning Van Lines. When I booked the service from Lightning for my move to Colorado, I promised my sales rep that if they are able to satisfy me through their service, then I will post a review for them. Appreciate their help 9/23/2009

Appreciate their help From the various resources over the Internet I selected Lightning Van Lines. There isn't any specific reason for choosing them. Called at the number in their website and found a live person to answer it (I called at night and most of the companies ignored my call). Felt good and booked their service after some package information. Was little apprehensive about the ultimate bill but then there was nothing to worry. At last I received a bill that was expected. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPLAIN. The movers did their job honestly and I appreciate it. Thank you, will come to you soon. more

Moving with an Expert 9/13/2009

This is Jayme Kayla. I booked the service from Lightning Van Lines. A smart moving crew helped me relocate from New Jersey to Florida. the best part was when i was waiting for the belongings. Understanding the fact that i was tensed and anxious about my belongings, they kept me calling and updating about the advancement of the tuck loaded with my belongings. They new my new home address and probably they were familiar with the place (thats what seemed to me from their conversation and instructions). The driver called me and asked me to come to the delivery point when he was just a stones throw away from it. They all were very friendly and understanding. RECOMMENDED!!!!!! more

Very DECENT Movers 9/10/2009

I moved with Lightning Van Lines with my family. The movers were at my door by 10.00am and completed packing and loading within 4 hours. They were all neatly dressed, professional look. Did not waste time. Went for lunch after they were done with packing and loading. And were back within 13 minutes. We followed them to the weighing station and found that we were over the quoted lbs. I was little apprehensive about the final bill and to my surprise they have settled the matter within the quoted price. Thanks a lot Lightning Van Lines. more

Lightning Van Lines, Inc. is VERY BAD 9/10/2009

Great customer service when taking my order but when it came to the actual moving part that's where the problems started. 1st the moving truck was supposed to be at my home between the hours of 10 am to 1pm but did not get there till just after three in the afternoon. Being that this was my last day in california I had a plan to go do some sight seeing but because they showed up late it screwed that idea all up. So I accepted that and just went on. When they did finally get there they were just sitting in their truck eating lunch in the parking lot of my apartments when i asked why they were so late they told me that they simply could not find the apartment, (pretty hard to do if you're inside truck eating lunch if you ask me) anyways when they did get inside my place thay asked me to sign their paperwork before ever really looking at what all I had to be moved. It was an emergency move due to official requirement. I would be charged a full months rent after Monday. I called Lightning Van Lines at 3.40 on Friday and asked for help. They asked for another day, they informed that Monday has no space But Tuesday surely they will get me going. The move coordinator gave me an idea and we worked accordingly. The company picked up my stuff from home in the evening and offered storage facility at a discounted rate. I spent the night in a friends house. We left the next day early morning and everything went well. It was great. more

I moved with my family from from Hoboken to Miami. My company agreed to pay maximum $7000 for the complete move. I discussed my problem and requirement with Lightning Van Lines and they promised to get everything done within the limit. It was a full service move. We were not good with packing and loading, therefore thought it would be wise to let the professional handle it. Packing was approximately $500. And the complete door to door moving service cost us something around $5100. That was amazing! more

Received a fair quotation. A trustworthy, reliable person moved us. Very polite driver, nice staff, well behaved. They took care of all my belongings and did not come up with extra charges. I’m very impressed with my sales representative. He explained me everything about how the move would be conducted. He also explained me how to pack my belongings in order to avoid the additional charges. He gave an estimate based on some weight factor and that was approximately accurate. The movers, who actually came to help me on the final day, did an exceptional job packing my furniture safely. I would definitely recommend this company again. more
