I had a solid all around moving experience. When you call in they assign you a dedicated moving consultant. I needed to change the date twice, and the response was always ""no problem"". \r The movers came on time. They wrapped up all my furniture in blankets and taped around the blankets. One guy will come in shake your hand and you will work with him. The other two guys were guided by him. I saw people on here complain about the price a bit, but sometimes you get what you pay for. more

Excellent service 1/15/2014

when its come to long distance move it really stressful just to think who to go with as far as price, damage and trust .\r i got promotion in the east cost and we had to relocate our home , my friend told me about Lightning Van Lines and we decide to go with them , thank god we did the move was smooth , clean and hassle free !!!\r they get A+ from us and already recommended them to two of our friends , Thank You Lightning and keep up the great work God bless you guys!!! more

Great moving company I must say. We were referred by a couple who just used their service in the city. We got a quote from the estimator who arrived on time to our apt and the quote was fair and inexpensive. They even gave us some free boxes and tapes for packing. \r \r The movers showed up on time for the move and they were really fast and efficient even though we lived in a 3rd-floor walk-up. The movers were all very polite and professional unlike some shady moving companies. \r \r Overall, the move was smooth, fast and nothing was damaged or missing. I would highly recommend their service to everyone! more

They Kept their Promise 1/13/2014

I was a little skeptical to use Lightning Van Lines, however, I trusted the point of contact person, so I went with them. I had used a moving company in the past and they charged me a bunch of extra fees. Lightning offered me everything into the hourly rate and the crated my tv for free. The movers finished before the expected time and kept the move within my budget. I know that if I move again I will use Lightning! more

Thieves!! 10/9/2013

Thieves!!! My 2 little boys accidentally forgot their wallets in their nightstands before our move from Ontario, California to Illinois. My boys had saved their money from their birthday's and Christmas to buy themselves a new video game system. My oldest had $312 and my youngest had $184. My boy's had stayed the night at their grandma's to not be in the way of the movers so my husband didn't think to remove the wallets. The movers were the only people at our house and they moved everything and held our property until it was delivered in Illinois. Immediately with the movers in our home I opened the nightstands because I was worried about my children's wallets and guess what my youngest son's Spiderman wallet was completely gone and my older son's wallet had only two crumpled up $1 dollar bills in it. I told the movers and they called their boss, Ethan. Ethan proceeded to tell me that we should have told them while it was in storage about the wallets. He also told me they have never h more

I used your moving service on Sunday, and just wanted to let you know that I am very pleased! The men that moved me were very professional, friendly and worked very hard to get the job done. All of my furniture was carefully loaded and unloaded. When we arrived at our destination the movers were very helpful and asked my preferences as to where to place all of the furniture. more

We hired Lightning Van Lines after reading some reviews and we had also seen some of their vehicles on the road. All in all it was a painless and comforting process. The movers were on time and we felt handled our items with care. They weren't just throwing things down the stairs as I had envisioned in my own head. Our property arrived pretty much on time and undamaged. I would recommend if you are looking for a company to move you long distance. more

Lightning Van Lines did a fantastic job moving me. They were recommended to me by my realtor who has lived in CA for more than 30 years. He said Lightning Van Lines was the best moving company in the area. I loved the crew who moved my belongings. They were punctual, professional and helpful and I thought the price for the move was fair. I have made several moves in the past, and this company is the best moving company I have ever used. I was dreading moving day, and it actually turned out to be enjoyable. more

Very careful with my furniture and I am very thankful for that. I was really happy seeing the movers wrap my furniture extra good, and being careful when taking out everything from my house. Roadway moving is a really good choice. more

I've used Lightning Van Lines twice and couldn't be happier! They were on time, professional, and friendly too! They took great care in moving my things and completed the job so QUICKLY! RECOMMEND 5/14/2012

Ronnie and Ivan showed up right on time for our prearranged move of storage boxes. Unfortunately my team wasn't quite ready for them. Movers were patient and understanding while they waited for the remaining boxes to be packed. Ronnie even offered to help one of our team members pack her boxers up. He was a gem! They were both extremely polite and friendly, made working with them a pleasure! My boss is actually going to use them for her personal move later in the month! Good job Lightning Van Lines! You did well by hiring these guys and I'm glad I phoned you for our business! more

I moved some furniture and boxes from California to Texas. The price from Lightning Van Lines was better than any other carrier I contacted. I was extremely happy with Lightning Van Lines professionalism. They gave me a binding price for my move to New Orleans and they didn't change a thing. My things got here quicker then I even thought they would and nothing was damaged or missing. My last move I found plenty of broken items. Ughh, but this company is really something else. I agree with opinions below. I was impressed with Lightning Van Lines. From start to finish, everything was great and professional. I was nervous because this was the first time I hired movers and have heard many horror stories and unexpected cost increases. Compared to other moving companies I spoke to, speaking to the Lightning Van Lines rep put me at ease and I felt that he was actually listening to my needs, especially because I had a scheduling issue related to when I was going to be at my destination. The other companies seemed to sugar coat their estimates and act like they were doing me a big favor. Everything Lightning Van Lines promised happened and there were no surprise or hidden costs at the end. In fact, the actual costs were less than the estimate (I would recommend that one be very realistic in how you estimate how much stuff you have to move, many costs can increase because individuals don't provide realistic estimates.) I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others more
