Editorial review from Citysearch 12/4/2013

Will not go to Gresham Urgent Care now that they changed ownership to NW Urgent Care. I just received my very first bill on a service that was performed 17 months ago. After 4 calls, 3 weeks and lots of arguing, they agreed to write it off as a kind gesture for the delay in billing me. Kind gesture?? I think it would be customary to NOT send a bill out to a patient after 17 months, especially after never sending me one before. She also let me know that since they (NW Urgent Care) took over in August 2013, they now require that they have a credit or debit card on file incase insurance denies, they will collect pmt with the card on file.. Yea .. um NO they will not get my card in their files as I will not go back as it seems they are only out for the $ rather than the customer service that they should be focusing on to bring patients back! more

I went there for asthma medicine and 3/25/2012

I went there for asthma medicine and mentioned a sore neck. By the time I left, they had referred me to physical therapy, chiropractic care, and massage therapy...guess where? All in their clinic. I told them I had a different PT I would go to, close to my work. That didnt stop them from calling me. All three departments called me to set up appointiments. I never agreed to even go to any of them. It seems to be all about money to them. Conflict of interest? To top it off, the nurse practitioner that saw me told if if my neck didnt get better, I should have it checked out!!! That's what I thought I was doing. Maybe she meant by a real doctor. Oy. I won't be back there more

Infection not treated 9/16/2011

Visited this facility with large abscess (infection) in my jaw. All i needed was to get a prescription for antibiotics. Front desk informed me Insurance would not cover this (because ""she"" considered it dental) and wanted to collect $120 before I was even seen. Did not listen to what I was explaining. Spoke to Insurance, visit would have been covered by my insurance if the front desk would have done just the most minor research (make a call instead of assume). This is an infection that could cause life threatening ""MEDICAL"" issues. Front desk was more persistent in arguing then treating my issue. Next time, do your research and don't assume! I will never go back to this place. more

Thank you urgent care NW! 1/17/2011

I never write these reviews but I absolutely feel like it is necessary after visiting urgent care today. My daughter was sick with flu like symptoms for a few days and had to bring her in. Every urgent care I have went to in the past makes us wait for hours, usually the doctors and nurses are very short and rushing us in and out rudely. My impression on urgent care NW was the opposite of what I have experienced in the past from others. I cant tell you enough how much I appreciate everyone for making my daughters visit a pleasant one. She was feeling very crummy but left actually feeling better. Everyone from the front desk associates to the docs were phenomenal! They even had a wonderful concierge that served us water and juice. Thank you so much to everyone we will definitely be returning for all urgent care needs! more

Great Experience! 1/15/2011

My morning started off like crap today. I tripped over my dog landing into my glass table, cutting my knee and hands. My morning changed when I stepped into the doors at Urgent Care NW Gresham. I was greeted by the very nice receptionists as soon as I walked in and it was no time until I rushed back to be treated. The physician and assistant took care of my wounds and I was set to go. Greatest urgent care experience I have ever received. I hope not to injury my self soon but if I do I will make sure to come to Urgent care NW. more

Awesome doctors 10/1/2010

The doctors at Gresham urgent care are amazing! I had surgery at a (un-named) hospital. I ended up getting a staph infection. The surgeon did not catch it, But the doctors at Gresham urgent care did. He gave me the antibiotics and the infection was gone before I had to go back into surgery again. He was AWESOME! more

A great experience! 8/31/2010

I lived in the greater Gresham area for 2 years and had avoided this business due to poor online reviews on another site. However, I had a pressing reason to go today. I walked in, was put in an exam room within 5-10 minutes, was seen about 20 minutes later, and walked out the door with a couple of prescriptions - one which was filled for less than half the price at a major drug store chain. (It was $15.00.) I'd been feeling lousy from a chronic condition and decided to chance going in on a walk-in basis. My experience was great. I was feeling and looking lousy, and everyone was friendly, very polite, helpful and efficient. I was in and out within 1 hour. I wish I'd gone here sooner, because I went somewhere else several months ago and was very disappointed and given the wrong drug and it was very very expensive. This clinic gives 20% off the $150 office visit fee if you pay in full at the time of visit, which I did ($118, charged at end-credit back to debit card). They do give appointments, which I wish I'd known about, so I wasn't in fear of waiting a long time, but it turned out that I didn't have to wait anyway. Also, they do DOT/ODL physicals and sports physicals for a very reasonable price. Gresham Urgent Care is very nice, clean and efficient. Overall it was an excellent experience. more

Great experience!!! 6/15/2010

I got a bladder infection very early on a Saturday morning- so I waited, and went into the Urgent Care clinic just up the street from me. Very convenient right there. I was very impressed. I had expected a long wait as with other Urgent Care clinics I've been to in the past. I only waited maybe 5 mins to be seen after I signed in. I'm sure in part because they weren't very busy- but still. The staff was very friendly (as was the Doctor- sorry I can't remember his name). They got me in and out very prompt and even called me 2 days later to advise my culture came back and what the Dr. prescribed was good for what I specifically had. I'll for sure go there for any future issues when needed. Pros: Friendly staff and Dr., Quick service, Fwp Call more

Gresham Urgent Care - great service 4/15/2010

I've been in to Gresham Urgent Care several times for myself when I couldn't get in to my regular doctor. I've never had any trouble, they've always been pretty quick. I was in recently with my 11 year old son though. He had a fever, his stomach was messed up, they took great care of him. It must have been obvious how worried I was, they were so attentive. The doctor was great (Dr. Wong), he told me exactly what to do. I was blown away when they called me two days later to check on how my son was doing! I strongly recommend this clinic, they have one in Fairview also. Pros: great doctors, caring staff Cons: can't think of one more

No major complaints 8/22/2009

I've been here a few times over the years for ailments ranging from a common cold (boss sent me to be seen) to pneumonia to stitches. Overall I really can't complain. I don't have insurance and if you pay the bill the same day you get a healthy discount, which amounted to $100 off when I got stitches. Also, there is a pharmacy in the building and you can get many prescriptions for just $15 each (or less.) I think if you are proactive, know generally what's wrong and ask questions and suggest/refuse treatment you'll do just fine at this clinic. For example, I wasn't willing to pay more than $100 for x-rays to determine whether I have pneumonia or bronchitis so I requested to be treated for the worst case scenario. My only complaint is when I went in for stitches about a year ago, I had a gaping gash in my finger yet I still had to sit and wait for a while. It was busy, they were doing construction and the only chair left was directly beneath a skylight which made me hot and sort of sick. When I finally (!!!) got called in they looked at the finger and said oh, it's worse than I thought. Um, duh, that was why I drove down from Govt Camp to be treated even though I had dinner guests coming in a few hours. So when the receptionists asks someone for advice on whether to get a patient straight to a room or not, they need to ask a DOCTOR or NURSE not HS dropout medical assistant. I went back 10 days later to have the stitches removed and the doctor couldn't find the removal kit, so he used a razor blade to show the CNA an alternative method of removal. It hurt and wasn't please about that. Also if he had been able to find the removal kit the CNA would have removed the stitches which I wouldn't have allowed. I can remove my own stitches thank you very much if a doctor can't do it. Other than that I have had good experiences there and am glad they offer walk in service (though I wish they were open a lot later at night.) Pros: upgrading facilities, inexpensive prescriptions Cons: you have to wait for a while, even if you're bleeding more

Inadequate Visit 1/23/2009

I went in for a joint injury that had occurred the prior week and was subsequently causing me tremendous pain. For $120 the practitioner (I feel like this title is not deserved) simply looked at the joint and remarked 'yeah, it's swollen'. Adequate history was not taken nor were all pertinent questions asked. The joint was never rotated, touched nor did they have me attempt to use the joint to see the way it was limiting me. On top of it, I doubt the sterility when the practitioner attempted to tap my joint - I was scrubbed for less time with betadine then I am when I donate to the red cross (infection of the joint is is a very serious problem and I felt like the joint was compromised). \r \r It was a terrible experience. Yes, I got in and out promptly but for the additional $280 on top of the $120 I felt completely cheated. At this point, there still is no answer to the pain - hopefully it will resolve over time but the steroid injection that the practitioner performed without even looking at the joint is not resolving the issue.\r \r Summation: Inadequate exam, treatment, preventative care plan and apathetic practitioner Pros: quick and convenient Cons: inadequate care more

Reliable, friendly service! 11/8/2008

My only complaint about Gresham Urgent Care is that they don't have primary care. If they did, I'd be thrilled- because they provide such amazing care!\r \r We rely on Gresham Urgent Care to be timely, knowledgeable and polite. They always live up to our expectations! Pros: Good doctors, good people, convenient hours. more
