Latitudes Moving

Small bump when some small pictures were damaged during the move. Another mix up with getting goods weighed but was fixed immediately. Everything else not a scratch. Because they were so easy to work with, uncomplicated and willing to make things right I have no real complaint. You can't expect perfection but you do expect good service. These guys were better than good, and better than average. The movers were great guys, respectful and in-and-out service. Will use again, will definatly recommend. The young men who handled my moving needs were gracious and efficient. A phone call moved up the arrival time which led to a good deal for all of us. I have already recomended this company to friends. I will be using New Latitude for all of my moving needs. more

I have had several great experiences with you as the former group. This time, one of the guys, The taller guy which I think was lead was good. I believe the excessive heat zapped them before they got to us. I think one move a day on really hot days is enough but is not always feasible. It cost us an hour and half in time. If they had not been worn out we would not have had to pay that much. They did not have that hurry left in them. It was a slow pace by the time they started moving us. The movers I have had from you before actually ran and moved fast. These guys were walking slow and having to take breaks. The second guy had to have direction from the tall guy on moving items. more

Very professional, courteous, and energetic. I have had New Latitude Movers move me twice so far and both times the men have been exceptional in every aspect. Two guys came to move my mother, Wanda Copeland, on Monday, August 1. They worked fast, were careful with her things and were pleasant and respectful. It went very well and we were extremely pleased! more

I was told things would be provided the day of the move. For instance, packing my pictures, sealing my furniture, and providing paper to go on top of my antiques to protect them while in storage. When the movers came they said no one informed them of anything. Also they left me in a state of confusion due to the fact they left parts that needed to be stored with what they belonged to. One example, leaving the legs that go with the dining room table at the house. I will be moving again and I will use the movers that picked up where New Latitudes left off. I called and spoke to Mike about the problem and he could have cared less. Left a message for Brad Stevens to call and he never returned my call. I have never moved before and when I called to set up the moving date they made me feel they had it all under control. But that was the furtherest from the truth. more

I was referred to this company through a few friends so i call around town comparing prices and the way i was treated on the phone. I thought this company was well prepared in giving an Estimate because he asked so many good questions. How many rooms, how much furniture, how many beds, if there was a washer and dryer, etc. Also if i lived on the main floor or upstairs. I told him I had a lot of furniture, 2 bedrooms with 3 beds and many packed boxes. They first sent a wrong sized truck and made me wait for a new one, one guy said he wouldnt charge while i waited although i was charged for that time. It took a while to load, they kept saying how no one at the office told them it would be this much furniture, I assured them they knew with the questions I had been asked. My estimate was that they could for sure get it done within 2 hours, maybe 3 hours. So I went ahead and budgeted for 3 hours to make sure. They took 6 hours moving, I was 9 months pregnant and the total cleaned out our bank account costing us over $600 to move. I will never use them again and will warn people as well, I was so upset i spent the day crying about our move hating it instead of enjoying it. We had no money for 2 weeks because of this, and I am still disappointed in this company. more

The move went great. We had little problem with the truck arriving on time because someone forgot to write down that we canceled a location in Pelham and we needed them to only move the Trussville house. When they arrived everyone worked hard and did a great job. They even called in another truck to help out so that we could get everything. This was a good move. more

I cannot say enough good things about New Latitude. Gregg and Will arrived 15 min. early and did a great job moving us from Birmingham to Georgia. They were extremely professional and friendly, even though it was a long day! When we got to Georgia, it was raining very heavily, and Gregg/Will waited patiently for the rain to calm down before moving our things inside. I will definitely recommend New Latitude in the future! Thank you for your help in moving. It was great to have the same guys helping us move out of our house and move into the new house. I would definitely recommend New Latitudes again. My only small complaint would be that one of the guys helping was smoking off and on and sometimes in the back of the truck where our stuff was, but it in the end it didn't affect our stuff. more

New Latitude packed and moved us. They arrived and delivered right on time. They were very courteous, professional, and hardworking. They handled our things with great care - NOT one thing was broken. Additionally, I appreciated their willingness take down and put up beds and place items wherever I wanted - even if it meant moving things around a few times. I HIGHLY recommend New Latitude Movers. Not pleased at all, I used this company two years ago to move me and I was thoroughly pleased. This time the experience was not so good. The movers were very nice but it took them 6 hours to move the same amount of stuff the same company previously moved in 4 hours. I felt this might have been intentional. I based my moving expenses on my previous experience with your company moving the same amount of merchandise. Secondly my bed was put together incorrectly causing it to be damaged when it collapsed. When I called to inquire about the missing piece, I was dismissed by the person who took my call and I have not received a call back. Although I am sure my honest account of my experience with your company will not help me. Hopefully it will help others. I think you were a better at moving people when you were changes in latitude, and I assure you I will never use your company again. more

When I hired New Latitude, I was not sure what to expect, but they were better than I could have imagined. Not only did they send 3 movers instead of two, but they also arrived 30 minutes early! Additionally, they were able to load everything I had onto their truck and unload it at my new residence in less than two hours. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will use them again in the future! more

In general it was a good experience. The young men that moved me Tim and Devery (sp) were very polite and did a good job of handling my antiques. They were worn out due to the last box being unloaded after 9 PM. There was just one little mishap. The tool I needed to put my bed together got displaced during the move.
