I have used this company two times in the past two years. My first experience was excellent in every way. The movers were very fast and respectful and did everything they were supposed to. The move was painless and easy. I decided to use them again about a week ago and the experience was not as good. They were supposed to call ahead at least thirty minutes but they did not call. The movers were much slower than the first time. It took 4.5 hours to move the first time and there were two flights of stairs involved as well as a 30 minute delay while I looked for packing bolts for the washer. This time there were no stairs and no delay and it took 5.5 hours to move the exact same stuff. This time they damaged my washing machine in the move. I understand that things are going to get damaged from time to time, but they did not tell me about the damage and I found it after they left. I was more upset at the unprofessional behavior of not telling me than the actual damage.There is a $100 dollar deductible for any damage done during the move and the damage was less than that so I did not make a claim and cannot speak to how that would have been handled. I also felt like they overcharged me this time. They charge for drive time to and from their location, which I think is standard. However, I lived ten minutes away from them and moved about 25 minutes from them and they charged me forty five minutes of drive time on both ends for a total of an hour and a half of drive time that only took 35 minutes to drive. If I were to base my rating on this last experience, it would be poor to unsatisfactory all around, but I had such a good experience the first time I did not feel like that was a fair rating. I think, like most moving companies, your experience will depend heavily on the individual guys who show up to move you.
