Threading is the way to go for a perfect eyebrow! 8/1/2008

Darshita is great. My eyebrows are great and love doing threading. It is much smoother and the eyebrow is more define and prettier. You do not feel like your eye is going down every time you wax..... threading is the way to go for perfect and smoother eyebrows. I wish there is someone in Lawrence, KS. Pros: The innovative service. There is not threading places other than this place. Cons: The price. Its kind of over priced due to the lack of people who does it. more

Finally A Good Fade! 7/23/2008

Sometimes for a guy to go to a ""salon"" can be considered ""girlie"" but at the urge of my wife I tried Last Tangle. To my surprise I found a salon that caters to men too and got the best haircut I've had in a really long time! Michelle Glenn does the best fade on my hair and has gotten me past the military style hair I had been wearing for a long time without making me feel uncomfortable. I would reccamend Last Tangle to your entire family! Pros: Staff, Homemade Cookies, Products more

No Longer UNHAPPY FROM KCMO!! 4/30/2008

Got a terrible haircut from a salon I had gone to for 6mths. I came to the Last Tangle, talked to the Owner and she suggested Phyllis was the stylist who could be a perfect match to what I was looking for. She immediately offered me assurance she could help me fix the disasterous cut and I LOVED IT then AND am still loving it!!! She did such a great job AND I can't wait to return! If you're looking & wanting something new & want a salon that makes you feel ""welcomed"", the Last Tangle is the place to go!!!!!! - No longer ""unhappy from KCMO"" --review is under Oliver's Salon. more

I love Jamie! and all the girls!! 3/11/2008

Let me tell you... Jamie is the sweetest and one of the best hair designers that I have been to! I am a regular with her. I just recently had her highlight, with some lowlights thrown in here and there, my hair. She also gave me a great new ""do"", that I love! I have gotten SO many compliments!! She cares so much to make sure that I am happy before I leave. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her to anyone who wants to get started with someone that will always work on you like she is working on her own hair. Great Eyebrow Threading 3/8/2008

I get my eyebrows threaded by Darshita every couple of weeks and I love it. She does an amazing job and really knows how to create perfect eyebrows. I have always had uneven eyebrows and Darshita still makes them look great evertime. I never have a problem getting an appointment and I never wait for more than five minutes. If you are willing to pay a little more, Last Tangle is a great place to go. I love it! Pros: Staff, Service, Location Cons: Price more

Friendly, reasonable salon 3/3/2008

I am a regular at The Last Tangle. It is a beautiful salon. They even have homemade ""goodies"" every time I go there. I have had manicures, pedicures, haircuts, and hair color treatments. The girls I have worked with are Phylis, Carly, Jamie, and Darshita (SP). I haven't had a bad experience yet. I have finally settled on hair w/Jamie. and Darshita does my ""toes"". It has been great finding a salon that isn't intimidating and expensive! I think you would drive across KC to this salon from anywhere. Have also brought a few friends and they have stuck w/it also. Highly recommend this salon!! Pros: Not intimidaying more

What a great place!! 3/3/2008

I just relocated to the Overland Park area, and one of the most dreadful things to figure out was where I was going to get my hair done in this new town. I loved my salon and stylist back home, and needed a stylist and a salon that was similar. Luckily, I landed the nail on the head with the first one I tried. I would definetely recommend Jamie to anyone that needs a great hair cut, and a good attitude pick me up on a bad day. She was very professional and really seemed to be concerned about giving the hair cut that I wanted. What a sweety! The salon was very nice too. Everyone was professional and extremely helpful and friendly. I felt right at home, and will definitely be going back:) Pros: Knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly staff...Jamie! more

five stars! 2/22/2008

After reading the reviews on this site, I called to make an appointment at The Last Tangle in Overland Park. I went there this morning for my first appointment with Carlie. I have short, fairly curly hair and was not very happy with my last haircut (at another salon). It was too flat on top and too thick at the bottom?I just wanted a different and more face-flattering ?shape?. Carlie listened closely to my attempts to describe what it was that I did NOT like about my current hair style and then gave me a terrific new hair cut. It is so much more face-flattering?I?m absolutely thrilled with my cut! I?ve never put a review on a site like this before but I?m happy to add to all the other favorable reviews-- I highly recommend Carlie and The Last Tangle! more

Feel at home 2/21/2008

I went because of all the reviews and was pleased with my service. I will say that I was excpecting something grand when I walked in from all these fantastic reviews but felt a little disappointed at first because it seemed like a typical salon. I will say that the service was amazing. Darshita was my stylist. She made me feel real comfortable and there was just something about the place that made me feel like I had been going there all my life. The best thing about them is that they call you a day before your appointment to remind you which is really nice for me since I am so forgetful. I loved my cut, went back for eye brow threading. Was pleased with both and going back for both plus coloring. I have to say I found a place to call home for a salon. more

Nice people, Bad haircut 2/17/2008

I went to this salon after reading all of the rave reviews right here. The staff was extremely friendly and did their best to make me comfortable. The prices were very decent. Unfortunately, the haircut was awful! Although she was a very nice woman, I think it would only be fair to the salon if I mentioned who gave me the haircut. Jamie (mentioned more positively by another reviewer below - although she isn't really that young, she just dresses young) was a very sweet woman, but man, she did a butcher job on my bangs, and the cut for the rest of my hair was almost as bad - several small chunks of hair hang awkwardly longer than the rest. And the left and right sides are definitely not the same length. But my bangs were the worst. They were so bad that I had to repair them myself. I'm NO hair stylist, but they look MUCH better now. Pros: friendly staff, good price (assuming you get a better hair cut than I did) Cons: horrible haircut, not enough time spent, general lack of skill more

I went and saw Darshita for highlights and a cut and style and loved what I walked out of there with. She's very professional and pays attention to the detailed needs of the client. It's top notch with eyebrow threading as well, best around. I would tell everyone to go there! more

Becky is great. She listens to what I may be wanting in a hair style. Sometimes I feel I am be a real challenge to her but she always meets my expectations! In the past with others, I've had problems getting a stylist not to cut to much off...... Becky is very personable and a pleasure to do business with. Everyone is very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this shop very highly. Pros: I look forward to my time with Becky. more

Very professional service 11/27/2007

I went to The Last Tangle after seeing the great reviews on CitySearch. I wasn't disappointed. My stylist, Jaime, was young but very professional. She made me feel really comfortable and I felt like she really cared about giving me a great look. I came out feeling like a million dollars -- and the price of the haircut didn't hurt at all! They use Redken products in the salon but there is no hard sell. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone! Pros: Professional service, comfortable atmosphere more

Great Stylist! 11/6/2007

I found Last Tangle on CitySearch, and I could not be more pleased. Genelle is my stylist, and she is GREAT! As a natural blonde, I wanted something darker for the fall. I had previously been so frustrated with stylists who don't tell you what they think would look good - they just do ""whatever you want to do."" I want a stylist to give me her professional opinion, and Genelle has a great eye for what will look good. I was a little apprehensive and went a little darker than I had previously planned, but it turned out so great, and I get a ton of compliments on it! Genelle is also really good about listening to the problems you have with your hair and offering solutions - I would definitely recommend her to all my friends! Pros: Great location, great service, great price! more

Excellent ethnic hair care 11/5/2007

Genelle Hughes is an excellent stylist who caters to ethnic women's hair care needs. She uses top of the line products which produces healthy and fabulous looking hair. One thing that stood out to me was the fact that she is attending classes, learning more and more about the hair. Basically, she keeping up to date with the latest products and how it affects our hair. This is a wonderful trait to have in a stylist, someone who continues their learning. The salon, Last Tangle is in a great location and maintains a very customer friendly environment. The prices are a little expensive, but you will definitely receive excellent service. Best for ethnic hair care 11/3/2007

I love the salon, Last Tangle but I love my hair stylist even more because of her professional connection with hair care. Genelle Hughes knows how to get your hair healthy and she will teach you how to maintain your mane with professional products for day to day use. That is something I've always looked for in a stylist. If you call your self a professional, why would you use just any product that you could find in a convience store. But besides the hair care she is an expert at cutting, coloring and styling. I love wearing different weave hair styles and Genelle can add weave and still keep my hair pretty and healthy. I trust her so much she gave my daughter her first relaxer which came out great. I was so nervous about chemicals on her hair because I didn't want her hair to fall out. She teaches the both of us different techniques to manage her hair and to promote healthy hair growth. I would encourage any one to try this salon out, it is very professional, clean and inviting. more

Darshita is the best for eyebrows!!! 7/3/2007

I actually went to The Last Tangle because of the wonderful reviews on City Search, and I was looking for someone locally who could do eyebrow threading. I had gotten them done once overseas, and my eyebrows looked better. I am so glad that I found Darshita, she does an AMAZING job, and my eyebrows have never looked better. Threading is waaaaaay better than waxing for shaping and contouring the eyebrows and less painful too!!! If you have never tried eyebrow threading or never heard of it, do your face a favor and try it out. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. more

Relaxed, professional and fun 6/28/2007

The Last Tangle was so helpful with my wedding party. I had a huge wedding party and kids too.They blocked off the entire morning for us for hair and make-up. My family was all in from out of state and they all felt very welcome and relaxed at the salon. I had more compliments on my hair than I could count and my make up looked amazing in my pictures. I as so glad to have found them and will definately be going back often. Pros: Kind and patient staff, relaxing at home ambiance, wasn't stuffy like some salons more

Best Hair Ever 1/16/2007

Oh my goodness, I have found the best place ever! I have seen only two of they stylists, and they are both great. Phyllis helped me to go from trashed out blonde hair to a beautiful brunette! I LOVE it! Jenny Thomas also helped me with a great cut, and was able to fix the hack job I had before. And last time I was in I got to talk to the Jennifer the esthetician, who set me up with some Dermalogica products to keep my skin great through the winter. I can't wait for my next appointment. Pros: Staff is well educated and experienced! Cons: None! more
