Last Tangle

It is fair to say that I have visited quite a few salons in the past, but I can definetely say this is one of the best I have had the pleasure to visit. Last Tangle is a beatuiful new salon with a very friendly and open staff. Upon entering you are greeted by the front support staff with a smile and a genuine friendliness. From that moment on you are treated to one of the most relaxing experiences ever. I had the good fortune to have Phyllis cut and highlight my hair. She is one of the finest trained stylists I have worked with. After talking to me and finding out a little bit about me she was able to help me with just the right shade of highlights so I did not look like my hair was striped. The haircut she gave me was exactly what I had been searching for, perfect for my face and body shape. I have reserved my next appointment with Phyllis and at that appointment I am going to talk to the staff about their massage and esthetician specialists. I understand they even have someone trained to do threading and eyelash extensions. I have found my new home for all my beauty needs! Oh yeah, they have Redken, Jane Iredale, and Dermalogica. The atmosphere and customer service at the Last Tangle was great. They make you feel comfortable - I had my hair high-lighted and cut by Phyllis - who did a wonderful job. She has great knowlege on how to put in the highlights and what color to use, what type of cut will accent your face, etc..... . During my cut and color we discussed pedicures. I had never had a pedicure done, I was always to embarrased by the condition my feet were in. Phyllis introduced me to Jennifer, who did a wonderful job on feet. I am now able to wear any type of shoe - yes even flip-flops without being embarrased. Jennifer also does a wondeful massage, it makes you feel so relaxed and rejuvenated. I felt so comfortable at the Last Tangle that I have started taking my son. He has really bad acne and I spoke with Phyllis about it while getting a cut, and she suggested that I talk to Jennifer. Jennifer set my son up on a facial routine and guess what it has improved his acne 100% - with her working with him and talkig to him about acne his face and his attitude about acne have improved 100%. For the past few haircuts/highlights I have jumped around to different sylists in the Kansas City area, each time not terribly satisfied, until now. I have been going to the Last Tangle and I am very happy with my results. You are immediately greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionist and all of the staff is very friendly. Too many times you get the feeling of being snubbed at salons like this. I am happy to say the Last Tangle is not this way. I have had great haircuts and coloring at reasonalbe prices by the stylists Darshita Patel. Darshita has also introduced threading to me. I will NEVER go back to waxing my eyebrows, since Darshita has been doing my threading my eyebrows have never looked fuller or better! I would definetely recommend this salon and their services. It keeps getting better and better. I have been with Jenny Thomas for over 20 years and have followed her from place to place -- this one is the ultimate. I am a simple gal -- usually only needing a haircut but no matter how much or how little of the services you want or need, they have it all, and you are always welcomed with a smile, and an offer of beverage and cookies. They have a wide range of stylists for male, female, adults, and kids. Several of my friends/family also go there as do their children. I have had my hair cut there for years, and once they moved to the new location it was like being in an upscale New York salon right here in the heartland. Warm soothing colors are just the beginning of the wonderful atmosphere that engulfs you the minute you walk in the door at Last Tangle. With friendly faces, beverages and cookies I sometimes forget that I came for a hair cut! Prior to coming to Last Tangle, my opinion had been that salons come in two sizes 1) A clever name with no substance or 2) A name with 'spa' added to raise the price. While Last Tangle is a clever name it defies my previous opinion and marries the best of both worlds. Go ahead and schedule your typical spa activities. Who would have thought a facial hair could be removed with a thread? Oh, then of course there is the all important hair style that is created not just with talented stylist but with a group of professional stylist and staff that treat you like family. There is always a happy banter of discussion. I never know if I am in the middle of discussing a new Last Tangle offering like individually applied eye lashes, voting on which prom dress someone is going to wear, the best way to keep color on my hair or whats going on in my world.
