I can't believe it myself. But 6 months after my treatments, my skin is looking better and better. I thought it was great at first, but today when my husband woke up, he was staring at me, and said I looked so beautiful! It was the first time in years, that he said that to me, so I ran to the mirror, and I was astonished how much I look younger. Da Bomb! Nurses rocked, Doctor Risp rocked, all his staff was da bomb! Growing up with severe cystic acne was the worst thing that ever happened to me. I even went to church for prayer, but the prayer request guy took one look at me, and told me he wasn't going to pray for me! Why? He said it was a punishment! In your face! Hi everyone! My name is K.Knight. I have been reading the reviews for Dr. Rispler, and I cannot even imagine the patients who rate him without trying any of his treatments! I noticed that people who write the good reviews are actually real patients who underwent treatment at his facility. I was disturbed when people complained about price. This is a major medical procedure. Of course it is not going to cost the same as a facial at a spa! I never thought it would when I first went in, so I actually thought it was very very fair. I signed up with my mom, I guess we have the same genes. We agree 100% with the positive reviews. Who can deny Dr. Rispler's talent? No wonder why he is well known! My mom looks so young, it's ridiculous. She gloats about it to all her 5 sisters! I had severe scars, and the Dr. even got rid of my freckles. He even got rid of my brow burns (long story, someone lit my face on fire)! Not funny at all. Anyhoo, I am really disturbed at the bad reviews, I mean... don't you actually have to be a real patient to write a review! Shame on those people hot tempered because they couldn't afford it! Okay, so first my auntie is the one who bought me a package for my congratulatory college gift. I must admit, I was very embarrassed at first, and shocked. Long story short, a guy just doesn't walk in a laser dermatologist, unless he is forced to go. I guess. I went a series of 6 times. Each time getting better than the next. My scars are completley gone, it's amazing. The pock marks are completely gone. The funny thing is, in the card written from my aunt, it obtrusivley said ""Greg, time to get your first girlfriend."" Well, now I HAVE MY FIRST LOVE!!!!!! So it isn't so obtrusive anymore! LOL! My dad said #$%# we shoulda taken you sooner! I seriously wish so! I am completely free of acne and acne scars! Come to think of it, it is pretty sick... to have all those spots on your FACE. \r I LOVE YOU AUNTIE! I WILL REPAY YOU BACK as soon as i finish college. I PROMISE! \r Dr. Rispler is the bomb! I SWEAR BY LDI! As prudent as I am, I had to go to the laser center that had only fda approved lasers. After watching many youtube videos, and before and afters, the fda lasers are the only real ones that work. I chose Dr. Rispler LDI, and I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH MY SKIN LOOKS SOOOOO REFRESHED! Like I dropped 15 years! I look like I am 22! I can't believe it. Every time I see myself in the mirror, I smile now! Before, I used to look away, and pretend like every day it was okay. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! I had a horrible experience with another laser dermatologist. Dr. Rispler had to fix it! He was amazing! It didn't cost that much compared to the other Dr. that did not know how to use his own machine! I was so disappointed that I had to spend more money and to another laser dermatologist. My cop friend recommended me to this place, and of course, I am going to believe my cop friend! I am so glad that I did! Every step was correct, every laser machine they have, are the ones that really do in fact work. The Dr. you know is a genius, and I would never change my dermatologist. Even if you don't do laser, he should be your #1 choice for dermatologist! My skin looks amazing! I wish I can show you !\r THANK YOU LDI!!!! Pros: best skin out of all my friends! I really hope people will read this review and consider not going for a ""free consult"". I went in for a consult and got very very poor service. I guess i just got desperate and felt that this was my last option. But now i regret purchasing the ""discounted package"". When I came in I was greeted by a lady in the front. She took me into a room and asked me why I was there. Then she said a ""medical assistant"" would come in. In reality it was just a guy in a suit trying to sell me packages. He played on my emotions telling me I was pretty and it was sad that I had some acne & acne scarring. He sold me on a $6,500 3 laser package. THen he proceeds to talk bout my credit. The same day another lady comes in and calls herself a ""PA"". I dont think i once saw a doctor while I was there. She was rude and talked to me like I was dumb. Very unfriendly. She proceeded to do the laser treatment and when I complained that it hurt and it was uncomfortable she said ""well it shouldn are you sure you're feeling correctly"" Then she gives me a prescription to all this medication and gives me no explanation on any of it. The lady at the front throws all these sample in a bag and send me on my way. I have serious buyers remorse. I'm not even done with the treatment I bought but I am seriously dreading going back. The ""PA"" was very cold and unfriendly. I dont even remember he name. Please save your money and shop around. Im sure there are other options. Or friendlier people. If you dont believe me just go and see for yourself. I feel ripped off and wish i never went. I'm honestly thinking of hiring a lawyer to see how i can get out of this. Okay, so I don't want to steer anyone in a certain direction. But I must say. I must not keep this a secret any longer. I have done LDI's lasers. 3 of them. All 3 for different conditions. Rosacea, Scars, and veins.\r My favorite one, is the CO2 laser. This was my secret. I can't believe I am sharing this information. This laser is magic. It is a magic eraser. It gets rid of everything. I have no wrinkles. I have it all gone.\r The only thing I have left is brown spots. My skin looked like an array of pigmented skin, full of scars, brown spots, acne, just whatever you can think of ... on top of that, on a red face. I honestly, decided to make the decsion NOW. No more tomorrow. And I am so happy that I did. It has changed my life eternally. It has done so much for me, you will never know. The truth and strength and power that a woman gets and feels, just from having a clear beautiful face. It has changed EVERYTHING.\r \r No more do I have to wear makeup, foundation. You know what? I was in the same situation! I own a small business, we are THE BEST within a 100 mile radius, and were voted numero uno. However, then when we received a lot more customers and attention, boy let me tell you, our competition starting to attack us on our review system, which decreased our customer clientele, and we ended up sueing this company for blatant slander! We won a sum of $454 000! I hate when people do this to the real companies! My experience at LDI:\r I am 100% a supporter. Not only did the doc clear all my spider veins, and deep pitted acne scars. It wasn't even that expensive! I too am a true patient, and can tell when I am reading the reviews, it is the same person writing over and over again! Shame on you! more

I agree Riley, I have completed 5 treatments, in a period of 3 months. I am so glad they taught me how to have beautiful skin, and they are teaching me how to maintain it. That is just the way it goes. Hey, we are very lucky to have these kinds of medical procedures. You know they used to write about acne from the 1300's as painful sores that never went away. We are lucky we have a CHOICE. I painfully regret to say this, but CMLSS, are you a complete idiot? You didn't even try their services and you have such authority to tell people not to go to LDI? That will certainly lead people in the wrong direction! They will then lose all hope! LDI really knows obviously what they are doing! They have treated atleast 2 other people in my family, with a family package. We are all happy with the outcome. I am going in for another treatment in 3 weeks, and I will be all done! LDI is the real deal! I am a REAL PATIENT, I took it all the way with them, from the beginning I put all my last hopes into them. I am now so HAPPY that I DID! I swear, I have never been happier, I only look better and better every day. I don't even have to wear makeup anymore. I can't believe how much it made me realize even more how much the skin on the face is SO IMPORTANT! I have taken loads of pictures and am writing a blog. Yes, it is pricey, but when I shopped around, everyone else was charging more money from other different areas, and they try to upsell, here, they just give you a flat rate for a whole series of treatments, right up until the end you are COMPLETED! These competitors writing in the reviews systems, should be punished for slander and dishonorable conduct! It is happenening everywhere! I am a true and honest and reliable person. Believe me! I just came back from our free consultation, which was a complete joke, and I am so angry. My son has acne, and is feeling really bad about himself, so I decided to check out laser treatments. I knew it would be expensive, but I at least thought that a real doctor would come in and examine my son before they asked for $8000 to treat him. I asked the ""salesmen"" who exactly he was, and if he really knew anything about the treatments. He said that he was the doctors assistant, and that he had worked with him for 15 years, he should know something about it. He was rude, and made me feel like I was being sold a used car. Even if the treatments work, I can't imagine doing business with a doctor that would have someone like that represent him. Get a clue LDI if you want people to respect you and give you their business, treat them like you value their business and at the very least have a doctor see the patient. I cannot image that this is the most ethical way a doctor can run his practice. I wonder what the medical board would say about a salesperson determining treatment. I recently went to the LDI Irvine facility and was sorely disappointed with the service! Many of the very poor reviews on here are absolutely correct! They do have someone in a suit (basically a car salesman - who has no clue about medicine or dermatology for that matter) come in first and try to find out what your problem is and tell you it's going to be very expensive - about $3500 per treatment, with multiple treatments being needed. The doctor may or may not come in depending on your concerns or questions. I'm sure they have lasers there and maybe they can fix dermatological problems, but they go about it the WRONG way. They have poor business and medical ethics and only want your money and make sure you are willing to pay up. I have absolutely no reason to write this poor review other than to warn others about this medical establishment. It is like going to a used car lot in downtown LA, the only difference is that these people are suppose to be medical professionals; it makes me sick - but I hope no one gets sick there, they would turn it into a sales pitch and charge you an arm and a leg. All I can say is, I hope you consumers out there can find other places of business to help you first before you decide to go here. And one more thing, I have a strong feeling that many of the positive reviews on here are made up by people who either work there or are friends or relatives of people who work there. There may be a few honest reviews that are good, but not many. Everyone I have talked to who has experience in going to LDI Irvine does not have many positive things to say about it, other than it's expensive and they only treat you good if you have the money to spend - or are willing to be suckered into it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!\r The will make unreasonable promises that will NEVER EVER come true.\r I am a real LDI customer who spent thousands of dollars on there treatments...here's my story.\r I signed up for four laser treatments in 2008 at a whoping 8K which according to them is a deal...when I tried to cancel they said I had signed a contract and owed them $1500 for a lousy 30 second treatment that they have you do intially so that in case you do decide to back out they can charge you for it plus another $1500 administration fee. It got to the point where there Beverly Hills lawyer got involved and forced me to either go thru with the treatments or pay them 3K.\r In protest, I went thru with all treatments which were extremely painful and cost me several days of work after every treatment because you look like s BURN VICTIM(seriously). It would take forever to heal and now after over a year my skin is back to what is was...with very little to no improvements(oily skin, breakouts, pimples, etc.)\r Save your money and consult with your doctor who will recommend you to a a dermatologist..it will save you money and the results will be better because your given alternatives instead of LASERS that rip your skin off and do not heal anything except for minor scars.\r \r If you have acne the four treatments WILL NOT help you...believe me and everyone on this site. hi, my name is Demi, I had suffered from acne breakouts every month. I was left with acne scars, and pock marks. I never knew that if I picked my pimples that it would leave me with scars. I went to Dr. Rispler at this laser and dermatology institute, because my mother got her face lasered for her wrinkles. Her results were beautiful, so she took me to the same Doctor. He really took care of me like a daughter, and I am so grateful. After just 3 treatments, even one of the cutest boys in my class asked me to the prom, and all the girls were jealous! I never ever told them I was getting treatments, they never even knew it. The best part is that there was no downtime for me, and none of the treatments hurt. I am just so grateful for this dermatologist,and I will recommend him to everyone I know. THANK YOU!!! more

I went to the Irvine location last Friday for a consulation. I have mild acne and some acne scarring I was looking to get treated. Traditional treatments take a long time and cause alot of unpleasant drying effects. I read alot about laser acne treatments online before going, so I had some idea of what treatment would be like, but I expected to actually meet with a doctor. Instead they have you meet with a fast-talking salesman. \r \r He talked so fast that I don't even remember his name...he said is so fast.\r \r He sat on the other side of the room from me, very far away from my face and instantly said that it usually takes at least 3 treatments...Ok...I asked him to tell me what those would be like, what kinds of lasers, down time, post care. He stopped me there started to discuss pricing. He said one treatment would be about $3k, 3 treatments $4500, and to look really ""wow"" as he put it, about $8-10k. Well, sorry, I'm not going to agree to treatment until I know all the details.\r \r I understand sales (I'm a sales rep too!) but when it comes to a serious and expensive medical procedure, I personally would prefer consulation by the actual doctor doing the treatment. \r \r I want to do laser treatments, but I am going to continue looking for a center with a little bit less of a sales pitch, and more attention to the actual medical aspects of laser treatment.\r \r Pros: ? Ok, so I finished my back and neck acne, starting with some help from ziana. Besides being called the miracle stuff. I went for my back and neck laser treatment, and I have taken photos of my back and neck. This stuff really works. I had major problems ""genetically"" I had acne full on my face and my back and neck, now my neck and back are all done, and this is the follow up I written from 3 months ago. I am almost all completed. My face acne never came back, now I have just two more treatments to go, and I am so sure that I don't even need to go back. I have to agree with all the 5 star and positive reviews. LDI offers an amazing service. I too have been a victim of the dreadful acne and remnants of the scars caused by it. After 5 laser treatments, I am almost 100% clean and clear. Acne was a constant battle for me. I have no regrets coming to LDI and I do not agree that it is an expensive service. It is priced within reach and the benefits are worth a tremendous amount more. LDI has a great staff that is attentive and professional. Doctor Rispler truly pays attention to your treatment regimen and customizes to the tee based on what seems to be a plethora of experience. LDI is a paradigm of the true medical laser clinic. It is not a mom and pop shop that buys a laser and says it works. You would be putting yourself in great hands at LDI. I can stand by that statement 100% and would refer all my friends and family to the best treatments for acne and acne scars in the world. \r \r Not to sound all positive and such, I too have a complaint in regards to the hours of operation of this office. They do not open on the weekend. It is kind of annoying because I work all week and the only time I really have is the weekends. It's like going to Chick Filet and they are closed on Sundays. I hope LDI you read this and decide to open on Saturdays at least. I am sure a lot of people would love to be able to come in on the weekends and you can definitely increase your traffic, not that you need it. I shopped around and found that LDI costs the same as any where else so don't buy the BS that other places offer the samething for cheaper prices. It's totally not the same service. The Doctor is always at this office and is very experienced. Dude sometimes the Doctor has to like control. You know. They are a genuine medical practice and has great services and the lasers were really quick and painless. I did laser treatments for acne and acne scars. It was totally easy and it worked. The staff is cool and really easy to get along with. Just beautiful peeps. I would say that only bad thing about this place is that I had to wait like 3 weeks at a time to get my next laser. i don't know whether its because my face had to recover. They said it was necessary but like I never had any burning or redness...I mean my friends didn't even know I was doing lasers. I also threw away all the stupid stuff that i bought before to fix my acne and acne scars. Dude total waste of money there. Don't need them anymore. The only other problem was yeah it was not that cheap. But like I said still cost the same at other places too. Oh and by the way you get what you pay for. I love LDI. Experience and medical expertise just reeks from their pores. \r \r I was a long time sufferer of acne and I have tried everything and even went to see a local dermatologist. The dermatologist I originally went to treated my acne with antibiotics and some creams that worked for about 6 months and then I started to break out again and again. In fact, when I was first on the treatment I broke out huge and the acne left more scars on my face. Then the derm tried to use some light therapy. It didn't work and ok great but what about the scars crazy derm. It was very heart wrenching. \r \r LDI was very different by using lasers. What was really funny is that I was really trying to pay attention to what lasers they were doing on my skin and I thought they were going to use a Smoothbeam laser on me. Apparently no Smoothbeam for me. They have it though and I saw it. I was expecting it and they never did it. I read about other people getting that done and they said it worked great. I asked them why I was not getting that laser and they told me that the other lasers were better for my condition and that my skin will respond better to it. So, yes it is true that they customize your treatment. And yes, the lasers worked so well. After each treatment, my skin would improve more and more as the days go by. It was a strange, but rewarding experience. No one could tell that I was getting lasers done and my skin was never irritated. Sure it cost quite a bit, but I am not breaking out anymore and it has been a year since my last treatment. Actually my last treatment I did was for my acne scars and so its more like a year and two months since I have been clear of acne. \r \r I would highly suggest any person that has suffered like me to go see LDI and Dr. Rispler. They are really ethical and their treament method is very thorough. They just don't leave you hangin with all the scars left behind from the acne. They just don't treat you like a number and try the typical treatment on you. The Doctor really knows how to treat acne and he does it in such an interesting way to not harm you or cause more damage to your skin. He just knows how to treat your skin. He and the nurses tell you what to expect and how my skin was going to improve. They were right every step of the way. They were so confident and cool. 5 stars all the way!
