I went to the Beverly Hills office today for the free consult and after My terrible experience, I knew if I came and searched on-line I would find more because I CAN'T be the only one and low and behold, all over are the same experience I had -- I had to wait forever in a crowded room and then have the cheesy salesman come and just say the same thing I guess he tells everyone: 3500 a treatment or 8500 for the package of three. How interesting that with so many different skin conditions, EVERYONE needs the same set of three for the same price. when I said it was more than I expected, I was shoved out the back door. I REALLY wish I would have read these reviews before going because I would have saved gas, 7.50 in parking and My time. Really creepy is the only way I can describe it. And ditto on the no eye contact from the doc. Add to that... no touching the salesman. When he came in I started to hold out My hand to shake... he ignored Me. Please do your research. that waiting room was PACKED and there is no way they can do that many treatments in a day so they are playing a numbers game. All the good reviews seem to say bad reviews are written by competitors - No, I am a real person and I went to the Beverly Hills office. The waiting room I was in had 2 low square brown sweude chairs and the salesman sits on a hardback chair that is much higher than the low chairs so you are lower than him. Coincedence? :) The salesman has dark hair and wears a suit and glasses. The stuff they use to have you take your makeup off with is on a ledge by the door. the painting on the wall is of three women at a bar who are all facing away from you and not looking at you. Hello! Hi Every body!\r I just wanted to say that I am significantly impressed b/c Laser Dermatology has changed me my outlook on life. I can't thank them enough. I not only have clear skin, but boys from my school are calling me Megan Fox! On our highschool newspaper they actually put my picture vs. Megan Fox picture side by side comparison, and I have to admit, I looked better because my skin looks way better. When I was walking down the hallways after class, people were saying the same thing to me!\r I must say though that Dr. Rispler, and the staff, helped me so much. Even the Dr. assistant, the man in the suit, told me straighforward that I was really really beautiful. I never knew that before. This is my first time ever even looking for reviews online! I came on here because I was going to read about Dr.Rispler, to see if he has written any books. But to my dismay, I can't believe people are complaining about price! That is truley unfair. My son had suffered bad burns from the Santa Ana fires, and he went to 4 different laser centers to get treated. NOBODY could do it. Even places where the Dr's weren't present, the nurses even turned us away. ONLY Dr. Rispler could treat him, fix him, and he is 100% back to normal, even way better before the burn. As a mother, almost losing my son in a deadly fire, and then having a Doctor's who could actually help and make a difference, is notable mention, and Dr. Rispler should be on the discovery channel.\r \r Pros: Best Dermatologist in the country Cons: none! more

AT 42, MY FRIENDS FINALLY CLUED IN AND ASKED ME WHERE I GET MY NEVER AGING, WRINKLE FREE LOOKS FROM. THEY KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP BECAUSE I LOOK LIKE THIS FOR 5 YEARS, AND I ALWAYS TOLD THEM I WAS JUST USING GENESIS! LOL! I WAS TOO SELFISH TO TELL THEM THE TRUTH. Is it just me, or am I the only one with Extreme acne scars? Every time I looked in the mirror, I couldn't help but get goose bumps. Even Dr. Ripsler at the Laser Dermatology Institute, took one look at me at my free consultation, and asked me, ""just one question.... why did you wait this long to do something about it?"" I was so embarrassed but he asked me ever so gently, so I just dropped my jaw and tried uttering a few words but it just did not come out. I felt dumb. I don't know why I waited so long, I guess, I was feeling like it was unproven yet, that the technology hasn't been around long enough. I financed the deal, and I literally have no more acne scars! All my family and friends are astonished. They still cannot believe it. I hope if any of my friends or family go to Laser Dermatology Institute of california, and go see Dr. Rispler, I hope he can give me free laser treatments! LOL! *hint hint! Ahem! If you are reading these reviews, then you are like me. I wanted to make sure that this company was good before I went in for their free consultation. LET ME SAVE YOU THE TIME AND MONEY. At their consultation, I didn't like their pricing and thought that they were ripping me off. Let me tell you what is really a rip off; getting services that don't work. I was like you shopping around and I bought services from 2 different places: one place claimed to be a dermatologist and another was a MEDSPA. I wasted a ton of money on those places to find that there is a major difference between laser treatments and lasers. The real waste of time and money was committing to 6 months of time and 8 laser treatments from a company that pretends to have comparable laser. Oh yes, the other places were really nice people until your last treatments they can't wait to kick you out the door. I know the treatments were sub par now because my acne scars were not reduced or improved at all. Who cares about great customer service when you still have acne scars. I would rather have results. \r \r I came back to these people to get it done from them and yes my acne scars improved with only 4 treatments. You will see for yourself when you go to the other places. Let me warn you that other places are using their name to sell you sub grade services and lasers at even a cheaper price and that is what you are getting; a cheaper laser treatment. \r \r If you ask me, I can see for myself that a few negative reviews were written by those other places to fool you and me.\r \r By the way, I was not the only one that went here to fix what the other places screwed up. During my visits, I have heard of several people coming from other places complaining about their services from even the places that I have visited. I am not an unusual case. Those other places are just scam.\r \r Look, do you go to a DENTIST to FIX YOUR EYES? Then why would you go to anybody else besides a dermatologist to fix your skin? It just makes sense right? For me NOW it does. I didn't think before and I was screwed. So don't get screwed. And if you want laser treatments, you have to go to a place that specializes with lasers. \r \r Honestly, the treatments are not that cheap. If you can't afford it right now, then don't go to the free consultation. Even if you want to finance the treatments, you have to know that it is really what you want and ready to make payments every month to pay off your treatments. My credit is good and so I did the financing and I am finally happy with my treatments.\r \r So really do your research about these companies. You will see what I am talking about. Good Luck! When I was 14, I had severe acne. Doctors kept telling me to stay away from pizza, and dairy and chocolate. They did 6 laser treatments, and I ended up with a wavy skin texture. I have never had a girlfriend till now.\r I just wanted to spread the word that LDI really knows what they are doing! They really changed my skin texture to normal, even all my skin spots a discoloration from the previous treatments are COMPLETELY gone. I look young, my face looks smooth, I guess that was another added bonus to using the lasers. \r The Dr. here is a magician. I swear by it. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My experience was extremely HORRIBLE! In my life I have had plenty of doctors/ dermatologists visits in my life, this was BY FAR MY WORST EXPERIENCE. I wasn't even helped by a doctor, but a salesman named Judson Hamlin, who was incredibly rude. The first 2 minutes of my consultation he told me that it would cost $6500-$10,500 to make any type of difference on my face. \r \r When I asked questions regarding the lasers, how they work, how they have worked for other patients, if they have before and after pictures etc, he was extremely impatient with me, and gave me one word answers. I tried to explain that I just wanted to understand what the process was and that I was not familiar with lasers, his pat response was ""look it up online."" That was the end of my consultation, he proceeded to leave the room and told the front desk that I had a brochure and with that he left without saying goodbye. He just walked away like I had been a major burden to him.\r \r I cannot express to you how uncomfortable and upset I felt when I left. I wish I had read reviews and researched more about how this place is just a sales office, not a place where an actual doctor helps you. Even if their treatment worked, their customer service was so horrible, that there is no way I would ever go back there or recommend someone to go there. My visit was a major waste of time and a huge disappointment. So far, it has been a short time, I started off really badly, and was really embarrassed. But as time progressed, I get excited to go back because I know the end result each time gets better and better. I keep looking forward to the final end date, because it has already cleared up my acne. Which was getting way out of control. Wait time - 2 minutes.\r I literally signed in, and was excited to read the magazines lying around. Fat chance. I got called up immediatley. Was nervous, as it was my first time there. But office staff and nurses were Extraordinary. They ALL had smiles on their faces, their skin was clear as well. The mood was so calm and welcoming, it took all my nervous anxiety away.\r Met the infamous Dr. Rispler. Whoa. he is the man.\r He took one look at my skin, and just knew everything! My next appointment is in a month, and it's been two weeks since I first went there. The regiment I am to follow is very easy, and the products are phenomenol. Felt anxiety just thinking of not being able to get my hands on the products. Average laser costs are between 500-1500 a treatment especially for someone with mild acne and scarring like myself, however I was willing to pay a little more for LDI since they are sup. to be the ""best"" Well it was a joke! the dr. came in for 2.2 seconds couldn't even tell that I had acne on my face after I told him I did he quickly said oh okay I can three laser treatments for you for 3,500 a treatment but i'll give you a deal and do all 3 for 8,000. Honestly I walked out because I knew he was trying to rip me off, best is to go to a regular derm. and they will give you a real consult. and price! Cons: they try to steal your money more

I have been to other so called dermatology offices and let the truth be told that I never saw a dermatologist, not even a doctor in sight. I was catered to by aestheticians and all sorts of other types trying to sell me dermabrasion services and other beauty services like that. I didn't want that stuff...I wanted laser. I didn't feel like a person there. At the Laser & Dermatology Institute of California, I felt like a patient of a prestigious medical practice. They have a lot of patients, but it never felt crowded. I see bad reviews and I'm kinda glad that they never became a patient or that the Laser & Dermatology Institute have strict guidelines or criterias or whatever you want to call it to accept patients or decide to kick them out. Honestly, I think you would have to be an outrageous person to get kicked out of a medical office and then complain about it on review sites when you're not even a patient. It makes me feel comfortable that they are not just trying to grab your money because they could surely cheapen their price and take everybody in. I personally would not have liked that. more

True story! I started off using an eyelash serum not mentioning any names, but the serum started changing the color of my iris, and then my skin! I didn't know what to do, so I opted for laser. no joke, I am so glad this happened, because I ended up getting the laser for my skin as well because I had such good experience with the laser getting my skin back to normal after using the eyelash serum. Now I look better than ever, and threw away the eyelash serum. Hard lesson learned, but turned out to be a success. Thank you to the Doctor! Pros: Laser Works more

I watched a show on channel 5 about a DOT laser. Looked like it did some amazing work. Couldn't find a good doctor with the DOT laser. I didn't want to go to that televised Doctor. He looked a bit young and it looked like a marketing gimmick. I researched and found out guess what? The ""DOT system is an advanced CO2"" and realized that was the same as the fractionated CO2 laser. What a joke? They were trying to make it sound like it was something special and different. And by the way, the DOT laser does cause down time to about 4-7 days. It's totally not what the Doctor was saying on television.\r \r I did a search for fractionated laser on Friday night right after the show and found Dr. Rispler in my area. I came here on Monday to the Beverly Hills office for the ""DOT"" laser and got one treatment done for my crow's feet and some forehead wrinkles. As I suspected, it's the same thing as the fractionated CO2 laser. Now, I have had CO2 laser before and this one did not even come close to the typical pain from a CO2 laser. The results are already considerably better. I know this laser was far superior from the others I have tried. My down time was very short. I would say today is the day I feel that I could go out without any make-up. My skin looks great; smooth and tight. I wish I got the name of it, but I have never seen anything like it before. THESE ARE PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND SERIOUS. THE NURSES SPENT TIME TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO AND WHAT LASERS WERE GOING TO DO EACH VISIT. THE DOCTOR IS VERY INTELLIGENT, KIND, AND VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD. THE DOCTOR IS VERY CONFIDENT AND THE TREATMENTS WENT VERY SMOOTHLY. THE NURSES AND DOCTOR NEVER MADE A MISTAKE AND MY RESULTS WERE GETTING BETTER EACH TIME. MY APPOINTMENTS ALWAYS STARTED ON TIME. THE OFFICE WAS VERY NICE AND LOOKED LIKE A HOSPITAL, NOT LIKE A SPA. THE NURSES REALLY TOOK THEIR TIME TO MAKE SURE THE TREATMENT WAS DONE THOUROUGHLY WITH PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE. I REALLY ENJOYED MY VISITS AND MOST OF ALL I REALLY LOVE THE WAY MY FACE LOOKS AND FEELS. First off I am NOT going to tell you where I got my first laser acne treatments. That place was a SCAM that said that they were the most trusted laser center. Yeah Right! They kept offering to give me more free treatments. After 6 treatments my acne got worse full force and they just kept mad at me. What's the point in getting more free treatments when it doesn't work. Their problem is that they don't know how to treat acne. Therefore, I decided to get it done right the second time around. \r \r I felt embarrassed coming back here for a consultation. I wasn't treated any worse coming back to laserhq. I cannot stand this place. I have gone here on 2 separate occasions for laser treatments. Neither has worked. I have spent over $8,000 now. My latest experience.... I had to wait for 1 hour to be seen by the doctor. He walks in and immediately starts analyzing me. Tells me about 30 things wrong with me before even asking why I am here. Dr. Rispler is the most unprofessional and rude man I have ever met in my life. I cannot stand this place! All the positive comments must be from the staff. I just wanna say that LDI is GREAT. They are very friendly and very professional. I think that they do some really good work with the lasers and treating people with acne and acne scars.
