Excelent service. After bad service at some local stores searching for the perfect fitting bra i had given up. I was just doing my measurements by some calculations i found online and thats how i was buying my bra.But if you are tired of wearing the wrong bra do your "girls" a favor and go to La Petite Coquette, they have a great selection and knowledge, believe you will look slimmer . Beautiful selection, EXCELLENT SERVICE, super girly environment!! I walk by this store all the time and never went in because of my lack of interest for lingerie. I'm in the process of loosing weight so I wanted to window shop for my future body. I was amazed at how the store was set up. It didn't feel like a typical "bra-shop" with snotty girls. I was greeted with genuine enthusiasm, and didn't feel like I was being pushed to buy something. I simply wanted to look around and the girls were so helpful by showing me around. Everyone made me feel beautiful and welcome. I will definitely go back to get fitted for the perfect bra!! I am so excited to shop here! This place will make you feel comfortable, even at your most vulnerable state. I am a bit self conscious about my body, and I feel completely comfortable around the warm staff! I will be back! After shopping at Victoria?s Secret and being disappointed with the quality and boring selection, (so generic) I decided to try and buy my fiance something from a more personal and local boutique. A co-worker of mine recommended I try La Petit Coquette, so I said ?why not?? It?s a beautiful store and the women who work there are very helpful and were able to make me feel comfortable; considering (at the time) I was the only man in the store. I explained to Tanya what I was looking for and she was very knowledgeable and was able to quickly show merchandise to me reflective of my descriptions. In other words they had exactly what I was looking for! And then some! I also met the owner of the store Rebecca who was very friendly, personable, and only made me feel more at home. When my shopping buddy and I crossed the threshold of this lovely boutique, we were met by welcoming and kind sales people. The variety of items in the window were enticing and I was suspicious that this boutiques would be able to have items that would fit my friend, (size 6, tall, C/D) and me (size 14, tall, & bigger than DD). Tania, the knowledgeable sales person, treated both of us with such warmth, care, preciseness that we will be frequent shoppers during our visits to NYC from California. I was so pleased with the service and selection, that I brought several friends back the following day to try their hand at finding the perfect undergarments. Again, the service was excellent. I am delighted with my purchase and loved the array of lingerie in such a range of sizes and prices. La petite coquette provides an elegant, playful, and wonderfully charming shopping experience offering high quality pieces. Ive been stuggling for so long to find that perfect bra that just fits normally! My friend told me about this store so I gave it a try. I am so pleased with the results! I came in and was greeted by such a nice helpful sales girl named Tania. She measured me and took the time to explain to me how to properly find the right bra for my frame and gave me many bras to try on and told me which one was right for me. It turned out ive been wearing the wrong size the entire time! I really enjoyed my experience there and I will definetly only buy my bras there in the future. There aren't enough words to describe how much I love La Petit Coquette! It's one of my favorite stores, period. And I know my stores. Forget that they have the most beautiful things (La Perla, etc), a huge variety (too many brands to mention), the staples I will always want (Hanky Panky boyshorts!). The place itself and the ladies who work there are what make it so special and fun to go to. It's an adorable store, decorated exactly how a lingerie store should be. And whoever helps me makes me feel great about my body and never makes me feel like I have to buy something. Alexandra helped me when I desperately needed a good strapless bra. From telling me I was wearing the wrong size just by looking at me to giving me three different bras to try on, each better than the last, she was amazing. It was a real education! And most recently, I went for my birthday, to treat myself to more things I didn't need, and Tania found my sizes when they weren't out and kept checking for more, no matter how many times I asked. She let me wander around over and over, checking on me to make sure I didn't need anything, in a helpful way, not a pushy way. They are so sweet and make the experience so fun. I really can't say enough about this place! If I could, I'd go every week! Trust me, once you go, it will become a favorite of yours, too. Pros: great staff and selection! more

La Petite Coquette is staffed by cool, knowledgeable, fun women who "sparkle." Their knowledge base combined with the terrific inventory of product: La Perla, Woolford, etc make the entire experience fun and worthwhile. Ask for Tania, she's a hoot! more

I want to thank Karen for the super help with my wife birthday gift. I was not sure how hard it would be to pick out her gift. Karen set me up with a bra and panty set that looked and fit perfect. I had the most wonderful experience! TANIA was a great help! My past bra shopping experiences have basically been unsuccessful. I usually end up leaving the shop with something my great grandmother would wear, and not in a funky vintage way. I am 21 and wear a 32 F. At first I was a bit discouraged knowing about the degree clientele from previous postings. I am a recent graduate I needed something functional and lacy to fit in my budget. Tania made me feel like a million! She showed me how to work with my body type and things to look out for. I never had so many options. While I would have liked to walk out with a stunning 269.00 number, I left with three bras for about the same price. Most importantly I left feeling beautiful, and confident. A+ for the variety and service! I can't think of ever shopping anywhere else! more

I absolutely LOVE this store. It has a very warm, cozy, intimate feel to it, and the selection is fabulous and varied. And the sales staff, ESPECIALLY Alexandra, is wonderful, very knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking for a special gift for a special woman, this is the place to go. more

I had another great experience in this small shop. My friend and I went in and were each trying on bras. Kate was so helpful, knowledgable and patient as she brought out various styles and sizes. Kate was on target as to which ones we had tried, which fit the best--we tried on for approximately an hour. I so appreciated her attitude and warmth. She is a great salesperson without being pushy. My thirteen-year old daughter bought the owner's book at home in Oregon and really wanted to go to her store when she found out we were going to NYC. Tracy was so sweet and helpful. She even went down and got the owner so my daughter could meet her before we left. This store is also great because they have sizes that we can't find elsewhere such as 32F. I went to LPC based off my friends' experiences a few weeks ago, they said it was like no where else in the city. I had to find out for myself. It lived up to everything my friends raved about. I was a little confused when I had to get buzzed in but that all went away I greeted warmly and assisted right away. Tracy and Denisha were absolutely two of the sweetest sales girls I've ever met. They made me feel geat about my body and my purchases. The prices were a little more than I usually spend, however they educated me on upkeep for my bras(which I never did in the past) so they would last longer. Went in to pick up a gift for my wife and it took Taria all of 5 minutes to help me pick out the perfect lingerie. She was WONDERFUL! Great selection, friendly staff, and that Rebecca, no wonder they have been in business so long. There is nothing I enjoy more than a great retail experience at a specialty boutique because I HATE department stores. They make it easy to get in and get out, and that is how I like to shop. more

I have always found it intimidating to shop in a woman's lingerie store, but I know that my wife loves beautiful lingerie and it is one of her favorite indulgences. Yesterday, i went to La Petite Coquette to buy my wife a birthday present. I want to express my thanks to Rebecca, the owner, for going out of her way to make this process comfortable for me. She asked me about my wifes taste, seemed to have excellent insight into what might best suit her needs and gave me a beautiful focused selection from which I could choose. The store is very comfortable and not at all overwhelming for a male shopper. The environment is low key and all of the sale's girls seemed upbeat and accommodating. Although they were busy, I was handled with discretion in a timely manner. I gave them my contact information and feel sure when I need another purchase, the staff at La Petite Coquette will be able to help me with speed and grace. And by the way, my wife loved her birthday gift. more

Yes, sometimes shopping makes us feel good. But rarely does a store go out of it's way to make you feel good, just because. La Petite Coquette, and its superior salespeople, does exactly that. Whenever I go there, the staff, Alexandra, Karen, go out of there way to make me feel beautiful and have some fun. Six months ago, I had major surgery and my body has gone through a lot. While home recovering, I made a plan to have an outing to Coquette. I knew they would take care of me - I always have had great service there. What I did not realize is that the staff would go out of its way to help me through my recovery and the changes I go through until I am better than ever. The selection at the store is great. There are expensive, indulgent pieces, sure. Lingerie is a little bit of luxury and fantasy. But there are also everyday underwear, basic (but better) smooth tee shirt bras and items in every price range. I am shown as many things on sale as I am at regular price. I am treated as an individual, not as a one size fits all. The store keeps track of my purchases so they know I like a certain item, or that something else might be better. I have brought many of my friends, and it is a fun excursion for us, and they always want to come back. I just brought these pretty little white cotton pajamas last night, just for me. Not only are there no judgements in the store, but I feel better when I leave than when I go in. This store is not for everyone. Only for those who like great products with fantastic service, and like to feel special. more

I feel gross for writing this, but you need to know- After reading all the great reviews from everyone on citysearch I was excited to go and experience it all for myself. In search of the best lingerie (at any expense, within reason, of course) went to Le Petit Coquette- it was HORRIBLE. Honestly, it was one of the worst experiences ever. Sure they were busy, but I was on a mission and had no problem waiting. The people that worked there were way to cool for themselves, especially the sales people. A sales person was going on and on about how they were selling up a storm to a woman (cha-ching!)- I am sure your commission check will be great- but have a party when the store is closed and the customers are gone..... Just when I was about to walk out, a thunderstorm started so I was kind of stuck, so I tried to shop after all of this anyway- Sales people could not be bothered and the owner was more interested in the air conditioner than a customer roaming around this small boutique trying to get some help. Not sure why this place is getting such great reviews...I would rather go to Bergdorf or Barneys, they have the same selection, atleast they have a reason to be a little stuck up...they're better known and you go in expecting some attitude. Le Petit Coquette needs to get back to basics, its about customer service, busy or not busy, small boutiques need to work a little harder if they want to be around for a long time. GET OVER THE ATTITUDE, it is not becoming. more

I had been looking for a bra forever because I have a kind of hard to find size. A couple weeks ago, on a whim, I stopped in at La Petite Coquette, which I had passed dozens of times but never entered. What a great shopping experience! I went in and told them what I was looking for and in mere minutes, I had a perfect fit in my possession. Moreover, the staff was fantastic. They were all very helpful and Rebecca is very charming. They made me feel great about my body and were such sweet folks. So glad I went there. I'll definitely be back again. more

After reading all the positive reviews I was excited to visit this store but the APPALLING service will mean I will never go back. I visited 10 different lingerie stores in Manhattan to find something for my wedding and this store was by far the worst. They have some pretty items but if you are going to charge over $300 for a bra at least you could be pleasant to your customers!! I walked up to a sales assistant to ask a question and she pointed me in the direction of someone else who she said would help me. This other person knew nothing about what products they sold and definitely knew nothing about customer service. Go to Journelle instead - the service is fantastic and they have a wonderful selection of lingerie at many different price points. more

La Petite Coquette is THE best lingerie store in the city. I've tried other stores in the city - The Town Shop, BraSymth, etc. (only once each!). I always go back to La Petite Coquette, chiding myself for looking elsewhere. It is simply the best. Hands down. Best product, best selection and most importantly best staff. The store is warm, cozy and inviting. The girls are professional and expert in all things related to lingerie. Bra shopping for me is never pleasant, and is quite demoralizing. Only here can I be guaranteed to find plenty of selection, a proper fit, and pretty things for my size (32EE/FF). I will not consider going elsewhere.
