I went to LPC to get something special for my wedding. It was an informal City Hall thing, but I wanted something feminine and "wedding night appropriate" so I wandered in there. Kate helped me immediately narrow down my search and I was completely blown away. She worked with me to find exactly the thing I wanted, this lovely fabric with embroidery, and fortunately it all came in a bra/thong/garter set (you know, who cares - I'm only getting married once!). Their stock is amazing, the staff knowledge is terrific, and it's a lovely atmosphere - not impersonal like VS (never going back THERE again, I can tell you that) but not over-the-top like some of the kitschy lingerie shops downtown. I think LPC is perfect and will absolutely be shopping there from now on. Oh yeah - my husband loved the ensemble, it made the day... THANK YOU!!!! After recently being told that I was wearing the wrong bra size, I decided to actually go and get measured. A friend suggested La Petite Coquette, as opposed to a larger more well known establishment. So I dragged a friend with me and it was the best thing we have done on a Sunday in a long time. The store is feminine, the selection wide, and most importantly the staff knowledgeable and amazingly helpful without being pushy. They were very busy when we arrived and Nisha, our bra expert, handled both me and my friend with such ease and care. Both of us were totally the wrong size and Nisha provided us with an array of gorgeous bras too choose from that fit us perfectly?and if the bras does not fit exactly right..they provide a service to alter it !!!! For all you ladies who are looking for the most helpful service and collection of beautiful lingerie this is the place to be. First of all, the collection that the store carries is so fantastic that I guarantee you will find something for every occasion. Whether it is a normal everyday bra or a sensual one, you will not leave the store empty handed. Now the most important aspect: I have NEVER been taken care of so well, while choosing lingerie. In fact I have never been taken care of so well EVER in a store! Such helpful and honest sales personnel and on top of that such a cute ambiance. When I am back in NYC I will definately go back to this store and ask for Denisha. She is an amazing woman..... wanted to find me the best bra possible and invested so much time and energy in advising me to discover the perfect size and all!!!! more

La Petite Coquette has been the best bra shopping experience I've ever had. For most of my life I've hated shopping and spending money on underwear because I never felt good in it. After my breast implant surgery I finaly looking forward to getting a new bra. I had no clue what size I was or how a bra should fit, especially after the surgery, but Rebecca took one look at me and knew my size immediately. She brought me several bras and checked to see how each one fit. Everything she brought me looked fantastic. It was the first time I looked good in a bra. Rebecca was kind, professional, and I felt like she would do anything to make sure I would leave with the right bra and a good experience. The fit of these bras is amazing and worth every penny. So I am walking home last night after a DAY at work and walked by La Petite Coquette, noticed a pair of rather great underwear that I thought would look great on my girlfriend. Feeling a bit sheepish. I walked in and asked the sales person (who was great) to help me out. Not only did she help out with the correct size (small) and color (black), she made me a guy who has never shopped for lingerie alone feel very comfortable and welcome. They had on some great salsa music playing and I notice this fabulous woman dancing coming up the stairs. We started dancing (yes impromto) and she gave me a few tips, (dancing of course). She asked me " what sign are You" (which I know nothing about), a leo I replied and she laughed and said so is she. Only a leo would start dancing with a stranger. This fabulous dancer happens to be the owner rebecca. Then Rebecca, myself and several other customers got into a great conversation about signs. What a great shopping experience, they just got a returning customer. P.S. The underwear was a "smashing success". She looked amazing in them, well she always looks amazing. more

Finally a lingerie shop that doesn't make you feel like you are 100 years old! Modern and cool bras, even for busty girls. Thank you to Rebecca, the store owner, for the TRUTH about bras. No BS in this store. I went in for the bra that would change my life and I came out with 5! Love it, can't say enough about it. My confidence wasn't the only thing that needed a boost! I'm in my mid-twenties, never had a bra fitting. I went to La Petite Coquette on the recommendation of various friends for one on a whim. Amazing! Alexandra helped size me, giving me a little tutorial on fit as we went along. All these years sizing myself I've been waaay off. I've always thought I was a 36B. Turns out I'm a 32G. Though the difference isn't enormous, the slight change in fit makes all the difference in the world. As a student, there's no way that I can afford to throw out all my existing bras and replace them with ones from this shop, but Alexandra very nicely helped me pick out a little under a dozen to try out and I left with a really lovely bra and panty set. I do not remember the name of the girl who helped me, but she was extremely nice and helped me pick out a great bra. This is a great place, but sometimes i feel as though I can not shop without someone watching my every move. It's a little awkward. But overall, I got great products from there, and I will come back again. The girls are really nice. Pros: great products, nice girls Cons: being pushed products that I have no interest in more

I'm writing this review in hopes that it gives some guidance to some of you women out there who don't know where to find bras in odd sizes. This shop has excellent bra fit experts on staff and they will not only tell you your size just by looking at you (eerily accurately), but they actually have things that will fit that size! Lila, my bra fit expert and life changer, informed me that I was not a 36C but a 32DD! I don't look at myself and think DD cup, but to be honest they do fit! Now I have no more drama in the morning picking out what things I can wear that won't look terrible just because I don't have the right bra to wear. Lila was right when she said it was like giving my whole wardrobe an instant makeover. She found me what I came in for and then some. OK, then a lot. I was only looking for one every day bra but I left with 5 such bras and also 2 pretty ones for "entertaining" as she put it. I can't believe it but I've actually been wearing all of them, including the pretty ones, and it makes me feel so much more like a real lady. Lila listened to everything I told her I wanted and answered all of my questions professionally (and I had a lot of questions) without making me feel stupid. Take my advice and ask them for what they call "contour cup bras." As Lila put it, "if you get cold, no one will know!" I thought they would make me look bigger but they don't. Do yourself a favor and go and get sized. I will be back as soon as my credit card recovers from my life changing experience! Pros: They carry 32DD bras! Cons: None so far! more

I found La Petite Coquette a few years back after a terrible day trying to find bras at other stores. I am a small girl (34A...and the A is a bit of a stretch, honestly) and it's hard to find bras that are both pretty to look at and flattering. It's especially difficult to find "bedroom attire." I have literally cried after shopping for lingerie before. But I'll never cry again, because La Petite Coquette has amazing bras, bedroom attire, and even some accessories, all presented in a beautiful, classy setting. The staff is so nice -- I went here with three girlfriends, one of whom is getting married in May and, with the help of the staff, we managed to buy things for her without her realizing it! Kate helped me today and she convinced me to try a bra I was sure would not fit, but I was totally wrong! I bought it andI can't wait to wear it! The only downside is that you can do some serious damage to your wallet in this place. Everything is so wonderful, I want to buy it all! I like to go with the amount of cash I'm willing to spend and no credit cards, that way I can't overdo it! Oh, and the staff is so great about budgeting as well; they don't make you feel less important just because you have a budget, like so many other places. I like to tell them about what I'd like to spend, and then they show me things in my price range, and steer me away from the things that are too expensive (like La Perla -- so nice! so pricey!). As an "in between" 32E/34DD, my bra buying experiences have been, to say the least, frustrating. An hour in a department or chain store would leave my slightly depressed, thinking, well, "it's not great, but I have to get something.."). An hour in this beautiful, feminine store with the owner, Rebecca, (this is her gift!! - making you feel comfortable, and understanding what bras will work best for you), and I had 6 (yes 6!) gorgeous bras that I can't wait to wear! I was so happy I called friends when I got home to recommend - NOT a usual practice - nor are all these exclamation points.....) Pros: Great selection, great customer service. Cons: None more

Hello Le Petite Coquette - I would be grossly remiss if I did not write to laud high praises of Kate - the wonder sales women and all around great shopping experience person. I came into my favorite lingerie shop, which in the recent years has been the treat to myself - a late bloomer to this world, the usual garden variety body image stuff. Anyway, though not at my best yesterday, but definitely in need, Kate took me by the hand, boosted the ego and now I have my inner groove back on thanks to her. Kate exudes understanding of clients needs, personality to handle the ego of the moment and full knowledge of her product to instill confidence in the client. In this day and age where customer service is non-existent, Kate is a huge breathe of fresh air and it is truly appreciated. Overall - shopping with Kate and Le Petite Coquette is an absolute, guaranteed, positive shopping experience and isn't that what shopping is supposed to be about? small chest, large chest, you name it?this store has got it all. they carry every size i have ever heard of, and for every type of bra--lacy ones, balconettes, t-shirt, convertible, strapless, etc. i have never in my life felt more comfortable being fitted for a bra, nor have i felt as confident trying them on. i walked in and it was like being a kid in a candy store. i'm obsessed with hanky panky undies, and they have the widest selection i've ever seen. all of the bras were gorgeous (even the t-shirt ones), and i was shocked by how reasonably priced they were. the salesperson who helped me was knowledgeable, helpful, discreet, friendly, and i didn't feel a bit of pressure from her to make a purchase (not that that was a problem...i ended up walking out of there with a pretty large bag!). la petite coquette is definitely worth visiting. and if you're anything like me, you won't be able to resist their beautiful, well-made selection. more

A lot of my colleagues had visited the shop...I finally went and though intimidating at first it was a great experience. I have an odd size and Martina was really helpful and very patient with me. I'm going back again in a month and frequently there after. I totally recommend Petite Coquette. more

Today I walked into La Petite Coquette by accident and it was one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had in Manhattan. Typically I would shop at Eres, a high-end French lingerie store on Madison Avenue and never really felt like my garments fit me as well as they should. Rebecca, the owner of La Petite Coquette is an expert as she knew just what size would flatter my figure. She fitted me so well that my husband loved the result. The proper fitting is essential to looking good in your wardrobe. BTW, I noticed that Rebecca made everyone feel exceptionally comfortable in her store. The rest of the staff is also superb and you will be quite happy with the fabulous variety of lovely lingerie fashion. I emailed a bunch of female friends asking where I should look for lingerie for my girlfriend, and Le Petite Coquette came out as one of the most-recommended places. Being an NYU alumni and faculty, I've walked by the shop hundreds of times, as have many of my friends, so the recommendation wasn't all that surprising. Soon afterwards, I was walking by the store again, saw the website address on the awning, and looked it up online when I got home. As a guy on his first lingerie-buying experience, knowing the look of the store and seeing such a well-designed website, I felt pretty comfortable that buying from them would not be buying junk, and I wasn't disappointed. My girlfriend called immediately after her gift arrived saying it was so nice she was going to cry (she didn't). I had asked for a note to be sent with the gift, and the staff at the store actually hand-wrote it (if I had been quicker, I should have claimed credit for that). Everything from the selection of lingerie, to the presentation of the gift, to the excellent customer service made it a great gift to give. This is one of my favorite shops in the City, period. The sales help (love you, Lila!) is so friendly and knowledgeable, and you always feel as if you are the only one who matters. They are never pushy; rather they are helpful and great about introducing you to different styles and colors. I now look in my lingerie drawer and swoon over all the different syles I now posses and proudly wear. I also had just gone from a 34C to a 34D, so I was building a brand-new bra wardrobe when I arrived. I left so happy and so gorgeous! There is no need to go to a busy and crowded department store when this little piece of heaven is around!! more
