A/C Maintenance 6/22/2015

As always our experience with Kotz Heating was great. we've used Kotz for 15+ years and will continue to use them. Amanda was able to get us scheduled on a day that was convenient for us and their Service Pro: Troy came out to do our A/C maintenance who is very knowledgable, friendly and gets the job done! more

Air Conditioning Annual Check Up 6/15/2015

Michael called before he arrived, was on time, got right to work and reported the status of our air conditioning unit within a reasonable amount of time. We had 2 appts back to back. The first for our house and the second for our son's house which was new to us in the winter. Since it was a HUD house purchase we were not sure what the status of the air conditioner was. Again he got right to work and discovered a couple of things that were concerns. He suggested a cost effective alternative to fill the coolant and then see how that unit performed this season instead of doing a costly test now. If It worked fine for us this season we know that the unit does not need the additional work. If we have problems later this season then we know we will need more repairs or replacement next year. This option worked for us since we did not want to put the additional $ into the unit this year as long as it was safe to run, which he assured us it was. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to work with our budget for this year. more

..Joe came to my house because my furnace would not start. Joe was very courteous and thoughtful. He left no messes behind and took care of my problem very quickly. He let me know up front what the service charge would be and gave me some options which will save me money later on. I would call him back in the future if needed. more

Helpful, pleasant 1/1/2015

Mark came out and was helpful in explaining how to reset the furnace so that I'd know if there was really a problem with the furnace or it was just something that could be straightened out with a reset. more

Furnace fixed! 12/16/2014

Furnace Inspection & Cleaning 12/9/2014

Troy called to ahead to confirm appointment and arrived on time. He inspected and cleaned the furnace. Apparently, I had mistakenly put the furnace filter in backwards, so he corrected this and informed me. I also had a new filter in a box available for the furnace humidifier that he changed for me. Troy kept me aware of his progress. I declined signing up for a maintenance agreement, as I am not a big fan of service agreements. If I signed up for the service agreement I had a choice of $189 for two tuneups, $378 for four tuneups or $567 for 6 tuneups for an average price of $94.50. He said I had 30 days if I changed my mind. He cleaned the furnace, did a C.O. test, tightened the electrical connections, checked the filter and did a gas test. He did a thorough job. He also brought along an assistant I believe to help him and train. The work was performed on 11/17/2014. more
