When ask why I came to Kindred, my answer was my doctor highly recommended it. I was having breathing issues and was told that Kindred had one of the best pulmonary department. My very first visit with the pulmonary team , I met Morgan, she was incredible. She talk to me at my level to where I could understand, the rest of the pulmonary instructors were great. They show me many different things I can do at home that would help me with my breathing. My entire hospital stay has actually been amazing. Every department has a important role there. While at the hospital my sister who lives in Ohio she and I keep in touch about my progress. I always told her about the exceptional care I received. My sister said that she wished there was a Kindred in Ohio her dear friend needs exactly the same type of care. I love you guys. DDial more

Kindred's pulmonary rehab program is absolutely wonderful. I don't want it to be over but I am at the end of my visits and will be graduating today. I had known for about a year that my condition was worsening and I was told that I should look into a pulmonary rehab program. The Kindred Southwest Fort Worth location was recommended to me and I began researching pulmonary rehab programs. I read great things about this program, called my doctor and asked him to get me into that program ASAP. Tanya was wonderful and the staff here never made it feel like what we were doing was work, but it definitely was. After the classes, I felt very positive and I felt that my emphysema wasn't in control of my life. Ron was also wonderful. He is a great teacher and I learned so much about my emphysema. He has a wonderful way of explaining things and made sure that I understood everything that they taught us about managing my condition. I am really going to miss these therapists and I do not want to stop coming to Kindred but I have graduated from this program and I feel that I am ready to put everything that I learned to use. I know that I can come back if I need this service in the future and I am looking forward to working with these therapists again. Janice S. more

The Kindred Pulmonary Rehab program was excellent. I was apprehensive about how it would help with my COPD but was surprised how much I accomplished and learned through this program. It did help with my breathing and I learned a lot about breathing techniques. Also got some good exercise while going through this program. The staff at the Kindred Hospital southwest were the best so friendly, helpful and fun. I saw all the people going through this program improve also. This program is worth the time and effort . You have been wonderful people and so caring and patient with me. But I want to say thank you to everybody on the 4th floor who took care of me. A big thank you to Robin as she was always coming in to check on me. Also help to ensure that all my needs were taken care of. At times I didn't need to push the call light and Robin was always there. Which was very nice. Mickey who was one of my nurses has been so knowledgeable and very wonderful to talk to. She made me feel at ease and help to answer all my questions or concerns that I had. Even difficult questions she was very helpful. Thank you to Nicole and Indra without you too I would never had a restfull sleep and a great experience. During the nights if it wasn't for them, my sleep would be restless. I almost forgot about Romeo, Deborah and Raymond but both of you are fantastic as well. Also very funny to talk to. Thank you to everybody else who I didn't mention. Good morning i’m writing this on behalf of some awesome people who helped me while I was in the hospital. I cannot tell you enough these people were angels, Earth Angels. I received wonderful care from the team and they gave me the endurance to get well and to go beyond. I would like to recognize personally a few of these amazing people, Mickey was my nurse on several different shifts as she went beyond her duties. She made it more comfortable and better and she sincerely cared for me as a person. She was awesome. Erica and Crystal who also work on the same floor both day and night shift have also been instrumental in my recovery.Donna who was one of my tech was a delight to be around and she made sure everything ran smoothly. She has a bubbly personality. Azra another nurse has also been fantastic! Also big kudos for Robert from the physical therapy department for taking his time to wait on me as there were some days I just wasn’t ready to go but he helped to encourage me by saying that I would feel much better if I just took some time to get some good exercise. Thank you for your support on that. Alford who is their current December employee of the month I would never forget you with regards to all the helpful information you provided me and I appreciate you sending me other useful information about my condition. I just wanted to say thank you to the entire team as all of you have worked very hard together as a group of professional caretakers. Let me tell you about my experience with one of the nicest techs at Kindred. Her name is Beverly. when I first came to Kindred she was the first tech I had and has been so kind since day 1. She does not complain and is always there for me. She does a great job to make sure that all my needs are taken care of and helps in more ways than I can explain. She is easy to talk to more than just on a patient / nursing level. I just wanted to let you all know that she is one of your best employees. ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! Angela Beck more

They really go the extra mile to help me with everything I needed. Just thought I would point this out as being a tech isn’t easy. Joyce and Micheline made a lot of extra efforts to help me out and both of them have been fantastic. Cherry, Desire and Ronnie also fit into the same fantastic category of hard work staff. They also help to put a smile on my face and others that they looked after. Big thank to all of you. I came from Weatherford Regional to Kindred for pulmonary care as I wasn't breathing well. I came into the ICU and now have been moved to a lower level of care as they have gotten me better than what I was before. Just wanted to say that the care that I have been provided has been above what I expected. The rooms are good and I am so delighted that I am getting stronger each and every day. What I really admire the most, is that everyone I have been in contact with has had a great smile and personality. The food is somewhat average but it is hospital food, cant expect to much. Dr. Ferree who is my primary care doctors visits me everyday and does a great job in keep me aware of my progress. Looks like I might have about one week remaining before my discharge. One the same note, I want to let you all know that Debora who is one of my nurses goes above and beyond in the care that she has provided me. Hard to find good nurses like her. The physical therapy team has worked with me very well. They definitely know how to make me sweat! I also didn't mind the workout. I am a total firm believer that you have to workout to get better.
