Best

Bone-in Ribeye is best I ever had.

Worst

Took down information for a birthday but didn't do anything. Snobby waiter. Indoor ocean view is more like concrete pier view from any window seat. Small portions, medium quality ...

What a beautiful evening I had here! We were a bit late for our reservation....but, the hostess was very gracious and accommodating. \r Food, service and atmosphere was awesome! a little pricey, but, worth it! more

Very good 4/8/2008

I had been wanting to try Kincaid's and went this past Saturday night. It was very good (very crowded). We didn't have reservations (you should make them) so we waited in the bar for a while. The bar area was fun!! The bartenders were really friendly and down to earth. I was told they have a great happy hour (we just missed it) with the drinks $3 each and cheap appetizers. We were seated much sooner than expected. Once we were seated, the server approached us immediately and was very cordial. The bread was awesome! The salad was very good. My boyfriend got the seared ahi (minus the sesame seeds) and said it was the best he had in a while. I got the almond crusted scallops. My food was very good too. The scallops were cooked perfectly. I liked the crusted almond but it was just a bit too buttery for me. Overall, we had a very nice experience at Kincaid?s and would go back. more

Try the Brie 10/3/2007

Really great appetizers. I always have to have the Macadamia Crusted Brie and the house cabernet. Pros: Appetizers and Deserts Cons: Gets crowded Sunday afternoons, impossible to park more

Worst food and service in South Bay!!! 6/16/2007

Have wanted to try this place for many years but never did. Now I wish i never had. The place was empty but had to wait a few minutes for a table. Waited way too long for someone to acknowledge our existence and get water. After another long wait a waitress approached the table and stated that her manager sent her over to see if we were okay. We said we were ready to order and she relunctantly took our order. After an even longer wait, we received our food. The kids cheeseburger tasted worse than frozen meat patties at best. It had nothing on it. Bun, meat and plastic cheese. The ketchup tasted like cocktail sauce. The Kobe beef meatloaf sandwich was a disaster. The bread was very stale and the meat was cold and tasteless. The king crab sandwich tasted like a tuna melt at best. When we mentioned this to the waitress she said we would get a free dessert. She disappeared and we had to get the check from the hostess. This place was a huge disappointment and I highly recommend you stear clear of this place and go get a hot dog on a stick on the other side of the pier. They deserve less than one star. Pros: View of water Cons: Food, service more

Great Ocean Views, Good Food, High Prices except First Seating 5/10/2007

Surely one of the best places to dine that offers ocean views and sunsets. The food is always good and the service is excellent and accommodating. I find the prices excessive except during their First Seating (= early bird) where for $19.95 you get a choice of salads or rick/thick seafood chowder (both delightful), a choice of seven entrees, sorbet or sundae, and coffee/tea/soda. Pros: Food taste, ambience, service Cons: High prices except during First Seating more

Bad Food, rude service. 4/10/2007

Would not recoomend it to any friends. Food is not fresh. Very rude and unattentive waiter. The only positive of this place is ambiance. Pros: ambience Cons: bad service/food is not fresh more

Only okay 3/2/2007

While the atmosphere is very nice and the staff is lovely, the food was mediocre. My date's prime rib was small, tough and way salty. I got the black cod, which tasted fishy and had a kind of mushy texture. It was accompanied by a ""marinated cucumber salad"", which consisted of exactly two slices of cucumber atop a giant haystack of pea sprouts. I would not go back. Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Mediocre food, overpriced for the quality and quantity more

Perfect seaside dining 3/1/2007

Perfect for a business dinner or romantic dinner with beach view. The filet was excellent, the service was excellent and the calamari was perfect. Though pricey, the experience was well worth it. The deserts were a little average in comparison to the meal, but were still better than some we've had elsewhere in Redondo. Make reservations though, it tends to get crowded. Pros: steak, wine, service, beachfront view Cons: pricey more

One of the best in South Bay 2/22/2007

We tried Kincaid last year for the 1st time to celebrate my wife's birthday and we love the food and service. That prompt us to try it again for the Valentine's day dinner. We had fresh osyter, prime rib and cod. All were prepared top notched like the last time we had visited (We had other dishes last time). Pros: Great food and great environment Cons: Expensive more

Great Location 11/22/2006

This is a good place for very reliable, tasty food. Anything I've ever had here has been delicious and I always leave happy. The martini list is impressive...I have quite a few favorites from it. The bar is pretty big and is a nice alternative for small bites and drinks instead of sitting in the main dining room. It is right on the water so the views are extremely romantic. This won't be a cheap meal but I think for a special occassion, this is a nice choice. Pros: Waterfront Dining, Martini List, Bar, Food Cons: Kind of Expensive more

Amazing Beach Dining 10/19/2006

This restaurant is one of the best I've been to in the South Bay. I usually have seafood when I dine here, such as Mahi-Mahi or Red Snapper dishes. Food is always fresh and flavorful. They also take preparation requests, such as holding the salt, adding pepper, stuff like that. The staff is top notch and don't mind switching your dinner side from rice to potatoes if wanted. I came here for the first time back in 2004, and it's only gotten better. I took my dad for his birthday and mom's for Mother's Day and they were both very impressed. Their creme brulée is delicious and their cocktails don't stay behind at all. If you're ever in the area, check it out. Great place to take a date as well. The outside of the restaurant doesn't look like much but once you step inside, you will see it's beautiful and inviting interior. One of the nicest bars I have ever seen grace this particular restaurant, as well as a nice view of the pier. Pros: delicious food, great service, validated parking Cons: expensive more

delicious seafood and the best staff ever 7/5/2006

i am a waitress and ive never seen such an attentive, professional staff. the food is delicious, although a lil pricey. you get what you pay for, though--i only go here for holidays and special occasions. they have a good happy hour menu and a beautiful bar, too. Pros: food, staff, views of the ocean Cons: lil pricey, parking on weekends more

Disappointed 12/26/2005

This restaurant came highly recommended from several friends but I left there disappointed. I ordered the pork chops and they were dry and had an artificial smoke taste. The spinich that came with it had an off taste that left we wondering what they put in it. My wife ordered the salmon and it had a strong fish taste which is not normal for fresh salmon. The salad was ok. The one item that was truly good was the creme brulee. It was the best I have tasted. Overall though, I would not return. Pros: creme brulee, not crowded Cons: high prices, salmon, pork chops more

Enjoyable 7/14/2005

We've eaten here several times now and it's reliably enjoyable. Nice place to take out-of-town guests or a date: the food is good and likely to appeal to lots of people; the location on the Redondo pier is fab. Service is efficient and friendly. Basically, it's what you expect from an upscale chain. Serious gourmands may want to look elsewhere. Pros: location more

Dining with pleasure 6/6/2005

I was referred by a friend because I wanted a restaurant at the beach. As you are seated you walk past the open chef area and see the steaks on the grill the seafood being arranged on the plates and their signature ""au gratin potatoes"" being served. The menu is extensive and everything is delectible. The servers and chef staff go out of their way to make sure what ever you order is to your liking and design. If you do not want a vegie and would prefer au gratin potatoes..no problem. The steaks are alway to you taste and temperature. At the end you have to try their deserts. I recommend the creme brule'. Pros: food, quality, atmosphere more
