Best

Bone-in Ribeye is best I ever had.

Worst

Took down information for a birthday but didn't do anything. Snobby waiter. Indoor ocean view is more like concrete pier view from any window seat. Small portions, medium quality ...

Great place to take a date 4/15/2003

I took my girlfriend-to-be here during the early stages of our relationship and she loved every minute of it. Parking was quick and easy, the pier provided some entertainment before, and the atmosphere was unbelievable. The food was great, the staff friendly, and the view at sunset gorgeous. I couldn't have asked for a better place to take a date. Pros: Good parking, Great View, Good food more

Cozy 2/18/2003

It's this past Valentine's, My wife and I went to Kincaid's. This restaurant was very classy the minute we walked in we were greeted with smiles (1st impressions are always good) as we went to our seat I thought that it was very cozy, I loved the food and most of all our server was very helpful with helping us chose the right dish. Moreover after we finished, I hadn't finished my meal, She (our waitress) asked if I was sure if I liked my dish. That meant a lot! more

A Perfect Spouse Date - Just Because 2/16/2003

We found your restaurant online and decided to visit from North Los Angeles County for a ""Just Because"" date with my honey. We were pleasantly surprised with your friendly service, excellent food and beautiful interior and exterior ambience! It was worth the trip. We will highly recommend to all friends and family. You will definitely see us again soon. Thanks! Pros: great service, excellent menu, friendly service Cons: Lady's room 2 small, hard to find more

A Beautiful View and Great Lunch 1/8/2003

This place completely out does anything on the Pier. The view on the patio is beautiful. The inside is elegant and the waitstaff are extremely friendly. I didn't have dinner there, but the lunch was delicious. I had the Turkey Bacon Tomato Avocado Sandwich it was so good. The turkey was tasty and juicy. We also had the Calamari appetizer and it was delicious. I can't say enough about this place. Very romantic, and very tasty. They do validate parking, just ask them. Spend the rest of the day or evening walking on the beach and enjoying the Midway down below. Pros: View, Great Food, Excelent Waitstaff more

Slow start, Great finish! 10/19/2002

Very nice atmosphere and even at night we could see the waves very well! We hadn't had anyone come to our table within 15-20 minutes of sitting down... but the manager saw our discomfort and quickly got us server. From that moment on the experience was wonderful! My husband got MahiMahi which was spicey, flavourful & cooked to perfection. I ordered a grilled Prawns with lemon butter, fresh and tastey! Service, once we had it was friendly, cheerful and un-obtrusive. Food was served quickly and drinks didn't go empty. Dessert was incredible. We ordered the Chocolate Souffle and Apple Tart to split with friends, and as an apology for the late start, management brought us their Burnt Cream as well. All were decadent but the Burnt Cream was the best! All in all, what could have been a disasterous night turned into the best dining experiences I ever had. Pros: Decent sized portions, Beautiful View& Decor, All items Delicious! Cons: Poorly managed staff more

Deceiving 7/15/2002

I have been to Kincaid's on the east coast and have read all these fantastic reviews above but DO NOT BE FOOLED by those reviews. I admit, the view is great, the service is excellent, and the sunset along the pacific coast is beautiful. But the food quality is that of Denny's. Our fisherman linguini was sickening (double the amount of butter necessary) and salmon plate was not impressive at all. Ahi was ok however. Dungeness crab dip was pretty delicious. Overall, I had so much better quality food for similar price range. They super-overcharge for the kind of food they are serving. If you really wanna have dinner looking over the sunset, try other restaurants in the area, do not go to kincaid's for food. Your date would not be so happy. Pros: good parking, service, view Cons: expensive, bad food more

Not Worth a Second visit 7/14/2002

Took down information for a birthday but didn't do anything. Snobby waiter. Indoor ocean view is more like concrete pier view from any window seat. Small portions, medium quality food, bloated prices. You order calamari and the plate is full of tortilla chips with 10 thin slices of calamari. The only good thing was the indoor ambiance. more
