Josephine's Salon has a wonderful atmosphere, and the front-desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, this is not the only reason why I go to hair salons. My experience with Michelle was a nightmare. I had long, thick hair and wanted more style. We agreed that adding texture would be the best idea. She spent a lot of time chatting about herself rather than focusing on the haircut at hand: she continued razoring away at my hair until it was time for styling. She round brushed my hair and then curled my hair forward with a flat-iron. I didn't really understand why she did this, since I didn't ask for it - but I figured she was just trying to be nice/add some little extra touches. I always re-style my hair once I get home from any hair appointment. After washing and blowdrying my hair I wondered where my hair went. I was left with a modern day MULLET. ALL of the hair in front of my ear was chin length while ALL of the hair behind my ear was down my back. I was absolutely mortified but tried to keep a positive attitude about it. I tried curling my hair forward like Michelle did in an attempt to camouflage the damage done (as she did)...but it was too obvious. While I realize that Josephine's would have probably been more than happy to re-do my hair, the damage had already been done. There is really no way to redeem a haircut like that. I truly do not trust Michelle as a stylist, despite all of the training credentials on the Josephine's website. She may have gone to the classes, but maybe she didn't pay attention. Fortunately, a lovely stylist at a salon in Katy was more than happy to transform my mullet into a stacked bob. I am happy with my hair now, but I will never return to Michelle for my haircuts! more

I loved how fast my stylist highlighted, colored, shampooed and cut my hair. But WOW I was shocked at check-out that it cost more than $225!!! The stylist charged me for every lite thing, so I won't see her again. more

Gena never fails to amaze me with her energy, bubbly personality and her ability to know what I need and want. more

I was a little nervous switching to closer to my orginal hair color (light brown) but DZ really came through with the color he chose for me. So happy with it. Everything was great! more

Jessica really listened to my needs and was not pushy with their products like my old hairstylist was. I bought two products and got a haircut,shampoo and style and I paid less than I normally did at visible changes. I love this place already. more

very dissapointed with paying for services. I am or was I should say a very good customer at Josephines. I normally would just write a check. They told me I could no longer do this becuase they were going paperless. So I go to get a debit card. Then now they do not have a number tablet to log in your password to use the debit card. So sorry I will not be going back to this unorganized salon. I was a good customer and spent lots of money there..And they DO NOT value there good customers!!!!! more

Josephine's spa consistently provides the very best service in professional hair care in the city of Houston. Michelle is expert in her style, skill, and technique. The spa is very friendly: from the knowledgable front desk to all employees. I think it's also really classy that they do not allow tipping, but instead ask that the client refer other customers to the salon. They have WiFi for you to use while your hair color is processing, and great beverages. (although I do wish they would get some "real" beer! :D ) The atmosphere is relaxing, and the clients are also warm and friendly. Expert services. I would highly recommend Josephine's! more

I love going there, I love their last minute appointments, I love everyone there! I've been to 3 hairstylists at Josephine's and I would say that Lilly is the best! She is quick, but super talented. I can't wait to go back. more
