i dont know what the story is with these guys but they never answer the phone, never call back, misdiagnosed the original problem, did not fix the appliance, and never communicate. We were put in touch with them via a warranty and I was stuck using them---perhaps the worst service I have ever experienced--unforunately I will never purchase a long term warranty from this major appliance store again due to their subcontractors poor business practice---avoid this company like the plague! more

PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!! They came out after the first company absolutely did nothing to fix the fridge. I told the tech, Jeff, about all the issues we had with the first guy that came out. He agreed to everything my wife and I said to him. He made himself and the company very easy to trust. They promised to be out the next Wednesday to fix the issue. I did not hear from them until Friday when I called thru the manufacturing company. They said they did not recall the promised date to fix the issue. After that, I called the next week, no answer at office or the techs phone. Once he finally answered, he proceeded to tell me that everyone at the office was sick and his phone was broke. We tried for several weeks to get in touch with them. My wife texted Jeff letting him know our displeasure in there professionalism and customer service, telling them it had been a month and it is time for them to figure it out. He then texted back cussing my wife. This is the worst place anyone can turn to. Needless to say, Jeff needs punched in the mouth. But, very rude, disrespectful, and horrible service! more

I don't believe every thing i read.So i tried this company. They were great made my repair and was on time .I also spoke with the owner J.Martins .We talked alot about service. The post on his company started in 2008 he has been open for business since 2001.has never changed Their name. And has no open complaints with the bbb.10years of service .and has 7 techs. And two people in the office.its hard to control everything and run calls your self he stated .Not every tech has the same skills as the next.Running 70 calls a day is not easy to accomplish.Along the way some problems are faced with some customers .He stated we are not perfect and we deal with 7 plus manufacturers. That brings new products every year. Some have three or four a year.classes three times a year.when you make calls you may need to return with parts and you still have calls comming in so it makes it hard on the office staff.but every one that calls in wants service now and are not patient.some times its beyond their control, like parts back ordered, not available, has to come from out of state etc.So some parts can't be gotten. So you end up with a post that states they cant even fix it.It took two months but may have been on factory back order beyond our control. when parts research across country, is not instant,I wouldnt hire a company with a perfect record They just don't exist. But they made it for 7 years without a complaint and they are minor. Now, price.workers comp,2.5 million auto insurance, tech line fees, liability.truck payments, 1000.00 plus month cell phone bills.office phone bills, building payments, warranty calls that you want done.we pay up front for parts. We wait 30 days pluse if we get paid at all.but all bills keep coming even when the payment dont .cash calls.customer wants you 8:oo am you show up and no one home but the house keeper that has no money. And cant call any one.its not easy dealing with the public at times. but they as a company have done a fine job for 10 years. This company has done great factory work. .In the past 10years.home depo expo, whirlpool ,maytag samsung,Lg,frigidaire.Electrolux, scotsman, avanti, whisperkool, apex custom built cooling units, breezaire,True, the list keeps going wide range of knowledge you cant beat .Thanks Jmartins appliance more

Keep Looking - I do not recommend! 2/22/2011

Boy. This was not a good experience. Basically they are really overpriced. I found (too late) someone else that could perform the labor for $70 instead of their standard labor charge of $185. It took only 15 minutes to do the work. The office lady was rude and they took 2 days to call back to order the parts and then another 4 business days before the install. I don't like to give bad reviews, but they had poor customer service, were overpriced and are slow. Use someone else. more

Very poor service, very rude customer service 6/15/2009

On May, 14, 2009, J. Martin replaced a defective ice maker. As soon as the ice maker was replaced, water from the ice maker was running down the side of freezer instead of filling the ice trays. J. Martin's technician told me I needed a new water value. I review with the tech. and Mr. Martin that I felt the new problem was with ice maker installation, not with the water value. I was assured the installation was correct. After the water value was installed, the EXACT same problem existed. On June 15th, on the 3rd visit, Mr. Martin came to look at the ice maker. He immediately noted that the water tube was not lined up with the ice trays, and was causing the problems. He quickly made an adjustment to the tube, and stated this would solve the problem. Since the problem was not with the water value, but was the result of incorrectly installation, I requested a refund of the water value and the labor to install the water value. When I requested a refund for the parts and labor, Mr. Martin became extremely agitated, screaming that I was ripping him off because he had to make all of these trips out to my home. I mentioned that these trips were the result of problems his technicians created, and had nothing to do with me. He grabbed his bags, screaming as he headed out the door. While I always remained calm, and ignore his loud insults, as he walked out he slammed my front door. Due to J. Martin's incompetence in solving a very simple problem, it took them 32 days from the time they installed the new ice maker till (hopefully) they corrected the problem. Pros: They take your money Cons: Incompetent technicians and Owner more

GREAT SERVICE 5/31/2009

J Martins has been in business for over a decade, making repairs on both in warranty and out of warranty appliances for more than seven different manufacturers! Continued education classes are attended 3 times a year for each manufacturer to keep abreast of the ever changing electronics required to operate the newest appliances.Only three bad reviews in a decade makes a great company with a great rating. J Martins provides nearly 50 service calls per day.Sometimes a repair takes longer than anticipated because there is no way to predict what is wrong nor how long it may take to track down a given issue where more than one thing could be at fault.Brand new appliances frequently have to have parts ordered directly form the factory they were manufactured in, requiring some delay to acquire.More common issue can usualy be taken care of quicker.Diagnosing over the phone, in advance of arriving at the customer's home, is risky and relies heavily on how the customer explains the problem. There simply isn't any way to carry every single part needed for every type of appliance for every possible manufacturer on one truck. That would require an 18 wheeler or two! Pros: Replaced 'rude' lady.Been in business over a decade. Cons: none, very knowledgable factory trained technicians more

Terrible Customer service, still haven't fixed problem after 2 1/2 months! 8/15/2008

My ice maker on the refrigerator quite working, it was under warranty and J Martin happened to be the company assigned by the warranty company to fix the problem. First appointment was scheduled, they were late (after the assigned 9-1 time frame) he walked in, said he knew what was wrong and had to order a part ""it would be in next week"". 2 weeks later I am calling them to find out what's taking so long, rude lady answers the phone and states ""it's not here yet"" without ever looking in to it! 2 weeks???? Finally part came in...close to 3 weeks, late once again, had to keep calling to see when he'd be there, I had other appts that afternoon (they obviously think the world revolves around them, because there is no consideration or apology for being late every time). Finally shows up, puts the new part in and had to manually make the ice maker turn, but said it should be ""ok"" now....this was friday. By Monday, I still had to ice...called in and had another appt scheduled, this appt they never showed up for, but did call after 5pm and wanted to know what it was doing, had me give them the serial number and said they had to order a new icemaker...it would take a week. Today is August 14, 2008...my appointment was set for 8-12pm, at 1130 I called and ""he's running behind"" ""there's 2 more people ahead of me"". 2:30 PM called them again, I was told by the very rude lady who answered the phone, she didn't know, he was the only one that could tell me how much longer it would be and she could give me his number. When asked if she could call and let me know she stated ""well I probably won't be able to get ahold of him, he probably won't answer his phone."" Hello? And he'll answer for me? Then I was told my appt was 9-1...fine....you're still late!! When he finally called he stated my appt was 1-5pm! My ice maker should work now, but it's been 6 1/2 hours and still no ice? Don't waste your time with them, unless you have months to wait to get a fixed product. I'm still buying ice! Pros: Absolutely None Cons: Rude, Always Late, Very Drawn Out to fix problem...2 1/2 months now...still not fixed more

No show 5/23/2008

The earliest they could fit in my fridge repair was two weeks after I called. I took a 9-1 appointment on a Friday, since they don't work weekends. I took off work for the appointment. They haven't bothered to show up or call to arrange a new time. A complete waste of two weeks of waiting and a whole day's work. I'll never call them again! Pros: don't know of any Cons: didn't show up, didn't bother to call, won't answer company phone more

TERRIBLE SERVICE GO ELSEWHERE 1/2/2008

Worst customer service of any business in Atlanta; no callbacks, cant fix the product ; woman who answers calls is very rude and not helpful; Had to call them 3-4 times just to come look at my broken appliance and the person they sent could not fix it; could not believe the lack of customer focus definitely a waste of my time more
