WORST PLACE EVER!!! I went to buy my bridesmaid gown for a friends wedding. They measured me for my gown and then a month later said they had to Order a bigger size and they are charging me MORE MONEY! I was okay with that until I go pick up the dress and when I tried it on... IT SLIPPED RIGHT OFF MY ENTIRE BODY!!! I AM LIVID with this horrible business. Then the lady had the nerve to recommend their alterations lady to take MORE of my money. Well, I m happier giving my $80 worth of alterations to another business. This is a tragic mess. I will make sure to tell all the people in the wedding industry or those getting married to NEVER go here. more

This place is AWFUL! After helping my best friend find her wedding dress here we were all so excited!! Then she found the perfect bridesmaids dress here. They forced us to buy them 7 months out, told me I needed a size 5 sizes larger than normal. I protested and said ""never in my life have I worn that size or been anywhere near it!"" when I ordered my wedding dress from dawns In Lexington (so awesome!!!) they ordered my normal size (after extensive measurements!) when I got my bridesmaid dress from impressions in it was so big it wouldn't stay on. It fell to the ground , literally. I called to discuss with them and they said alterations would have to be done anyways and that actually my measurements said I needed a bigger size. They are a crock of crap, so unfriendly and not professional at all. I'd rather go to a nasty David's bridal over this hole in the wall dump! GO TO DAWNS!!! more

Like most people, my experience here has been horrible. I went in expecting friendly and helpful people. instead, the people were rude, abrupt, and inconsiderate. I will never go back to them even if they are the last bridal shop on earth. they care only about getting every cent out of you that is possible. Not only were our bridesmaid dresses late (as in a week before the wedding) when they said they would be here a month prior. but the people purposely ordered the dresses in larger sizes so that we would have to get them altered. I went elsewhere for alterations. This is a warning to others. don't waste your time and effort here, all you'll get is frustration and disappointment. more

I am so pleased with Impressions!!! I recieved my bridesmaid dresses today and they are beautiful!! The staff are so friendly, helpful, sweet, and thoughtful! I feel like I am family everytime I walk in! I am so thankful for Impressions Bridal and for the staff for helping me through this special time in my life and for making it a positive, memorable experience for me and my bridal party! I recommend Impressions Bridal and Prom to anyone and everyone who is getting married, going to the prom, or needing a dress or tux! PLEASE VISIT THEM!! THEY ARE WONDERFULLLLLL!!!!! :) :) :) more

Unfortunatty, Impressions has under gone some changes. It's under new ownership and I can tell you as a previously pleased customer I am now very UNIMPRESSED! I got married about 8 months ago and used Impressions. They were wonderful. Kelly and her mom were amazing and Kathy was great too. It's now time for another family members wedding and they are under new management and it's terrible. I walked in there to get measured and I got nothing but snotty attitudes and a very unwelcoming feel. To top it all off..... they are very unprofessional. There was a family issue between me and the bride that I was unaware of and she did not want me in her wedding for personal reasons which I can understand. The bride however, decided to tell me in a very ugly way.She got the bridal shop involved with telling me by not allowing me to order my dress which them led me to finding out that I was no longer in the wedding. They knew the whole time this wasa happening. It's sad since I was the one who told the bride to go to Impression in the first place. I can't believe preffesional business people would get themselves involved in such of drama. It's bad enough I have to deal with the hurt but I definatly didn't need the bridal shop in on it too. I'm so disgusted with Impressions and will never recommend them to anyone. more

I found a dress at a local dress store but it was not my size and I called Impressions Bridal and they had it. So I drove 2 ? hours to Impressions Bridal to try it on. I fell in love with the dress. Even though it was so far away I decided to order with Impressions Bridal. This was the best decision I made! They told me so many different options I could do with my dress which I did not know and were very knowledgeable about the dress designer. Cathy assisted me the whole time. She found a veil that matched perfect to my dress. I ended up getting my dress, veil, shoes and jewelry from impressions. more

Please if you are a bride go nowhere near this place! Worst customer service I have ever seen, nasty store and awful selection...and listen to the person below me..its true...once they have their money they are done with you...I was treated like crap! Oh and they are under new ownership....its worse then it was before! more

When I went in to pick out my wedding dress everything was great! I found my dream dress and was very impressed with the service. Here is the problem there is awesome service before you spend your money not after. I originally wanted to by shoes and my veil there but could never get an appointment. My wedding is end of June I tried to start buying veils and shoes in April and was told to wait until after prom season which was not until the end of May beginning of June. I ended up buying both some where else. I could not make an appt. to get my dress altered. There alterations system is truly a joke. Finally one of the employees just gave some alterations ladies phone number and I called and scheduled it myself. My first alteration was 3 weeks before my wedding, and my dress was so big it falls to the floor!! Bottom line before you pay great service after you pay you no longer matter in the slightest. Your wedding should be a blast to plan you should not feel second rate to prom kids are anyone else. That is why I am writing this review. Good luck new brides!! more

I am warning all brides that may be considering this bridal, please stay away and go somewhere else. This store is the most dishonest place that I have ever been to. I went there on a Tuesday and looked at a dress and I was quoted one price. They were closed on Wednesday, so I went back on Thursday and the price went up $150! I guess the owner realized that I was very interested in the dress and decided to capitilize on that! The owner is extremely rude. Anyone considering this store please reconsider and try either Hope's Bridal or the Lily Rose both of the stores have excellent selection and extremely nice staff. I'm willing to bet that the owner or staff wrote all of the reviews because there is no way that customers could have written them. Cons: Dishonest and rude staff! more

I'm surprised to see negative comments about Impressions. Alteration problems happen everwhere... everyone knows that alterations are done by hand, and humans are not perfect. One of the BEST THINGS about Impressions is the fact they will only sell one prom dress to EACH HIGH SCHOOL. If you go to Group USA, or somewhere in the mall you bet they will sell multiple dresses to your school, and you'll end up spending all that money and match someone - embarrassing! I agree she should have checked before taking your measurments but you should be happy that your daughter is not going to match someone @ her school when you are spending hundreds of dollars. My experience at Impressions was perfect... they did not have the exact dress I was looking for but showed me very similar dresses that were pretty but I decided to order the original one I liked in the book. I'm so glad I did! It came in last week and i loooooove it. Pros: large prom selection, one on one service more

I found the PERFECT prom dress there 2 months ago. Today i went back to buy it, because we finally saved up and had time to go, and we spent an hour looking at it, taking measurements etc. just as we were about to buy it the lady that was helping us (who was very rude but we were dealing) said ""oh yeah i have to check to make sure no one else from your school has this"" turns out someone did. Why did she not look at it to begin with before getting my heart set on it. When we decided to leave she kept trying to get me to try on all these dresses i told her i wasn't interested in to try to make a sale. This was very disappointing because i had been planning around this dress for 2 months. more

Impression Bridal is ideal for anyone to find a wedding dress, padgent dress, or prom dress. They have a huge selection of beautiful dresses. I was very pleased. The staff and owner were fantastic, sweet, and good to help you find the perfect dress. They helped me pick out dresses to try on, try them on, and helped me pick my dress. The prices were great, also! It was a great experience and I'd recommend them to anyone. If you are looking for a good, calm, fun experience.. go to Impressions. You won't regret it. I had an amazing experience at Impressions Bridal. I went to find the perfect prom dress for my senior prom and found THE dress. Everyone was so nice and very helpful. Everyone made me feel beautiful! The owner was very, very sweet and knew exactly what she was doing and talking about. It was the experience that anyone would want. I had a blast trying on dresses and showing them to everyone and getting their opinion. I would recommend Impressions to anyone! Thank you Impressions for making my experience great! I got married in May 2008 and I had the best experience picking out my wedding dress from Impressions. They wanted to find out my personality and what I liked to help pick out a dress that fit me perfectly. The service was so wonderful. Because of their great service my mother ended up finding her dress the same day. I picked the flower girls dresses out there and my mother-in-law found her dress, too. They go out of their way to make every customer feel special; bride, flower girl or mothers. A friend is getting married in October 2010 and was having a hard time finding the perfect dress so I suggested we try Impressions. After a year or so they still remembered me and my mom. Also, they treated my friend with the same great service as they did with me and my family. All the staff at Impressions is wonderful , helpful and very dedicated to make one of the biggest decision of your wedding the easiest decision. Pros: Customer Service, Reasonable prices, Etc. Cons: Small store but cozy more

Let me start by saying I purchased my first prom dress back in 1999 from Impressions. I found the perfect dress and felt like a princess all night long...I remember how kind and eager Judy (which I love to pieces) was to help me. I still have this dress by the way...I just cant seem to part with it =) I have seen the bridal shop grow as I have grown. So when I got engaged..the first place that I wanted to go was to see Judy. Since it was 10 yrs later, I wasnt sure if she would remember me...but when I went to see her she did!! Since Impressions already had a special spot in my heart~I felt right at home. However, they go out of their way to make every customer feel this way. They know that whether you are looking for a prom dress or a wedding dress-that it has to be ""perfect."" They understand that this simple article of clothing will forever be a special part of your life and that the memories attached to it will last forever. Therefore, they take extra time and go that extra mile to provide the best service to ensure perfection!! This goes right along with my personality (since I tend to be OCD anyway)!!! When I went on the hunt for my perfect wedding dress..I thought I had found it..went home to fantasize about it for a day...came back ready to purchase but wasnt all the way convinced this was really ""IT."" Judy listened to me and my concerns...pulled out a couple more dresses...and then it happened...I found the absolute perfect dress!!! It was beautiful!! It was EVERYTHING I had imagined and more!! For anyone who really knows me will vouch that this can be challenging to please me completely because I am soo freakin picky!! In summary, I have had numerous encounters with Impressions Bridal and I have nothing but wonderful things to say....Judy and her whole staff are extremely helpful and dedicated to assist every person that goes there in search of that ""perfect"" dress. Recent customer from Impressions and boy did they make my day a lot easier. Despite it being a Saturday and right in the middle of prom season, I felt quite at home here! The store is in a quaint, cozy house with plenty of privacy. I loved the bride's room, which is where I spent most of my day. The employees so knew what they were doing as they matched me up with three phenomenal gowns to decide on. I had a thousand questions to ask and the one employee that I dealt with the majority of the day was able to answer it all for me. I have had nothing but good experiences with them since my engagement and would highly recommend you to visit for yourself to see what I am talking about. I ended up getting everything but the flowers (this was because I already had a florist picked out---my mom). Anyways, I hope you have an amazing experience as I did!!! This is the first time I have ever taken the initiative to actually write a personal review of a business. I felt compelled to do so after my terrible, nearly year long ""dealings"" with Impressions Bridal for my wedding dress. The day I went in to try on dresses, I was treated very nicely and felt really great about my purchase. However, several months later when my dress finally came in (and after I had paid for it) that's when I was treated as if I was a second rate customer. It was evident that this business only cared about your needs and concerns prior to payment. My dress zipper broke, was shipped back to China, and I was told various dates of when it would arrive. Once I had the dress altered, there were several mistakes that were made in the process so that I had to return to the store for 4 more fittings. Each time I was dealt with by the owner with her saying ""now don't get all upset over this"" and ""are you a nervous bride?"" The dress was finally altered to the correct specifications and completed four days before my wedding. I was married in September of 08 and had ordered the dress September of 07. As a native of Raleigh, once I got engaged, I was certain I would find my perfect wedding dress in Raleigh. After many attempts at many different stores, I became quite discouraged at the commercialized bridal stores in Raleigh that offered little to no personal attention. Luckily, I have family in Salisbury thus leading to us discovering Impressions Bridal & Prom. Although I'm not sure who the owner is, the lady who assisted me that day was extremely accomodating despite a migraine headache that she was suffering with. The store and it's layout provides brides, their families, and young girls many private areas to try on dresses, etc. while not being exposed to the rest of the clients. The selection of dresses that Impressions carries was an elegant array of high quality, fashionable dresses with affordable prices. I received generous attention and advice from the lady who assisted me and could not have been more pleased with my selection of dress, store, etc. After I got married in October, 2008, I searched for places in Raleigh to get my dress cleaned and preserved. Once again, I was discouraged with price quotes of $300-400. I received a gift certificate in the mail from Impressions allowing me to get $25 off of a gown preservation. The letter had been forwarded to an old address and didn't reach me until 3 1/2 months after my wedding. I contacted Impressions and the owner was more than willing to continue to honor the gift certificate. This store not only provides an intimate setting for you to begin your bridal journey but the generous, self-less staff know exactly how to please their clients. Their centralized concern is the quality of their store and products and the satisfaction of their clients and they do an impressionable job at conveying this concern. more
