REGINA MENDES EASY FITNESS HAS TO GO! Regina Mendes, you are ruining Image 2000. I agree with the other reviewers with negative feedback. Sleazy, unprofessional and disgraceful, are all adjectives which I would use to describe you and your business practices. Jeannie, you are quite the hypocrite. Your happy go lucky demeanor does not fool us. You are deceitful and you are a hypocritical rip-off artist. A few years ago, you stole Image 2000 members while you were employed there, with the intention of opening our own place. You spent 2 years disparaging Image 2000 by writing derogatory reviews after you were thrown out of your own club for conducting illegal activities. Now you have the audacity to walk back into Image 2000, the very place you stole the members from. If I was the owner of image 2000, I would have never let you come back there and I would certainly throw you out immediately. more

REGINA MENDES EASY FITNESS, YOU ARE DESTROYING IMAGE 2000 HEALTH CLUB Regina Mendes you are disgraceful. We have been members for over 10 years at Image 2000 and absolutely love it. We watched you Jeannie 2 years ago, walk around while you were employed at Image and collect members names, phone numbers and e-mails and steal their members. You are incapable of opening up your own business and you resorted to making it your business to steal their customers. You failed miserably and because of your dishonesty and unethical behavior you were fined and shut down.  The past 2 weeks, we have observed you approaching the members at Image 2000 and doing the exact same thing all over again. You also told my friend and I that you were going to open up your own place again. You have already ruined Image 2000. Your instructors routinely put down image 2000 instructors. Some of my favorite Image 2000 instructor's classes have been eliminated, your instructors are horrible. Give me Lynn Langone and Carlos's Zumba class over any of your classes anytime. Your instructors, Carmen and Devin, can't hold a candle to Image 2000's instructors. Your spin instructors stink. Give me Wajih's spin class anyday. Yvonne, the image 2000 yoga instructor is my favorite instructor and now her class was eliminated.  Your step class is ridiculous. Instead of instructing, it is more about yourself. The guy that teaches the GHOS class is intent on hitting on the female members and making inappropriate comments.  I paid an enrollment fee to join Image 2000 and your members don't pay any enrollment fee. Your business practices are unethical and you will stoop as low as you can to get ahead. Your business was shut down. There is no doubt that you will do the same thing to Image 2000, the place I love. I hope the owner of Image 2000 reads this and throws you out. more

EASY FITNESS WITH JEANNIE, REGINA MENDES RIP OFF! Us members are getting ripped off by you, Jeannie. You encouraged us to cancel our memberships at Image 2000 2 years ago where we were paying just 19 dollars a month. Now you want us to come back to the same place where we canceled and expect us to pay you 35 dollars, which is double the amount of money for the same place. On top of that, you want us to pay additional dues to use the cardio and weight equipment, that we used to use for free. This is unethical. I know you want to make money for yourself, but not at the expense of the people that have been loyal to you. We should all cancel our membership and join image 2000. more

Great gym, great staff, great classes - everything you want in a gym is right here. I highly recommend the TRX suspension kettlebell class and Zumba - it's awesome! more

Image Planet is AWESOME! I just joined two months ago having left Metro Fitness. All these clubs are the same story one after the next, but not here at Image Planet! There is no wait for equipment, there is a vast area for parking and the staff is always attentive if needed. Can’t say enough of how glad I am to have left that stupid Metro Fitness! What a waste of time that place was! more

Plenty of parking, plenty of workout space and plenty of money still in my pocket! Image Planet is great! These other new places opening up everywhere you look like 7/11's, are easy come, easy go places. Half of them don't even last. Image Planet has been here for as long as I can remember and it's still going strong! If u want the real deal without any hassle, Image Planet should be your only place to go sign up at! more

I am writing to express to you, about the wonderful experience both my friend and I have had with the staff at this site. Although, most of the staff members I have encountered at this facility have been very pleasant and friendly, two of the personal trainers at this site stand out above the rest Venex Nicholas and Nelson Torres. Upon joining As Venex began to explain to us the perks of being a member of the facility, he saw the uneasiness in both my friend and my face. Surprisingly enough he worked with us. Honestly, it was his personable approach that changed the dynamics of my initial decision. He did not pressure us, get an attitude when he thought this sale may not go through nor did he get upset when we asked lots of questions. He kept the same smile and worked with us until closing! He even missed part of his playoff game on TV, helping us and I know how important that is for a man. His patience is what actually sold me. I thought that if he could be patient with us as “walk – ins” he had the ability to be patient with us as a personal trainer. It is evident that this is not just a job for them; it is a profession, that they enjoy doing. Had it not been for these two personal trainers I can admit, I would have not joined or even remained an active member of this gym today. There are so many other facilities that are around which cost less and offer more equipment but these two personable, caring and kindhearted staff members have made all of the difference. People tend to write letters about all the disappointment they have experienced, but I want them to know this long review is only giving them praise. Keep up the great work!!! more

this gym is owned/managed by con artists... the negative reviews are very very true - their monthly fees are ridiculous, and they charge you when you want to cancel and can't find your original contract from years ago. their freeze policies are also very tricky and you'll end up paying for it. management of the gym has also been known to write their own positive reviews on sites like yelp, so be careful about reading any of the "good" comments. this place should be reported to the better business bureau. more

If you want to get in shape you should check out my health club. Image 2000 health club for women in Union NJ. I joined 9 months ago I have gain over 25lbs of solid muscle.. I have been members of other clubs Ballys, and Retro Fitness, and Image 2000 is the only gym where a personal trainer took the time to personally took in my individual needs. What I liked most is that everything in under one roof. I saw a nutritionist that gave me a diet plan, I also went to the wellness center and got a free massage as well as a chriopractic examination. I really love the new day spa they opened up. Most importantly I have two young children and there child care is opened up 7 days a week. If you want a great health club this is the best one I have ever been a member of! more

Convenient location of the gym because There are a lot of different programs they offer. New management now makes it even better then before. I joined the gym to get my blood pressure downand lose weight.Now they opened a Spa that makes it even better. I would tell everyone to go here. Jackie K Union N.J. more

Good: The aerobics classes. Bad: I froze my account b/c I was pregnant and close to my due date. We ended up moving out of state right after but before my freeze was up. I called to cancel and was hassled b/c the membership ABSOLUTELY has to be canceled in person. They finally agreed to let me cancel by sending a certified letter, which was done but they started charging me a few months later. I called and was told that I never canceled and no letter was on file. They refused to refund my money and my husband had to drive back to cancel.. Improvements: THEN after all of that, they still charged him a 20.00 cancellation fee because he did not have the original contract with him when he came to cancel. If I could give them Zero stars, I would. I am still pissed about it.. Other: There is a chiropractor's office in the fitness center and when you join, you are offered a free session which includes a massage. I filled out a profile when i went to my session which included my name, phone #, insurance info, etc. After my session, the chiropractor's office would not stop calling me even after I told them that I wasn't interested. They kept leaving me messages saying that my insurance would cover it 100%. I had to save their number in my phone under DO NOT ANSWER. It was ridiculous.. more

Just like the previous reviewer, Kate. As soon as they suck you in, all the pleasantries go away. As with Kate, I was a long time member but when I was ready to move on, they brought up the small print of a dinosaur contract. Hounding me for month's. Needless to say, stay away. more

I've been a member for a number of years, probably 10+. When I joined, the rep lied about the company expanding their hours but he was later fired so I don't blame the company for the misrepresentation. The owner has always been extremely standoffish and rude and don't expect him to help you or even speak to you unless you're looking to join and he thinks he can get money out of you. Then when I wanted to cancel my membership because my new job had a great gym on site, they gave me the hardest time, pointing out fees and such in small print on the contract for not returning the ID card and for not having the original contract, from more than 10 years ago! It has been a nightmare just trying to sever the relationship without paying additional fees. I would not recommend joining this gym if you're looking for a place where the staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome or you're looking for ethical business dealings. Customer service is dead the minute you sign that contract! more

I was looking for a local gym membership and so I went on a tour of Planet Fitness. I noticed that the gym was very loud and crowded. It seemed impossible to use any of the popular equipment during after work hours. There were waiting lines for each machine. Needless to say, I didn't sign up for a membership. more
