Spa Day was Wonderful 5/6/2011

Great day at the Spa! I had a massage with Kate -- wow! Wonderful! I had a facial and a pedicure, too. Memorie (Nail Tech) was very good, also. Super experience. Classy operation, and a good value, too. more

Kat did a wonderful job, loved the warm towel during the shampoo 5/6/2011

Kat is not the person who normally does my hair. She was awesome. My normal person cancelled on me 2 times in 2 weeks. While I understand that people get sick, this is the third time I have been cancelled on. It takes several weeks to book another 2 1/2 hour appointment. I was already 2 weeks past my appointment time and it was going to be another 2 weeks before I could get into my regular person. I opted to have someone else do hair. I have a small child and am self-employed, so it is a juggling act to coordinate everything for an appointment. At this point, I am not sure I will be back as I am concerend that this will continue to be an issue. more

Good stylists and color professionals, I haven't had a bad stylists yet, only some better than others if you want to look good and not afraid to pay for it this is the place more

Massage 5/5/2011

The experience was wonderful. I went in with very tight muscles, the one's you can feel and when I was finished I felt like a new woman. The next day I felt back to normal with no soreness or acheyness. more

I was not happy with the way my hair looked the first time I had it done. They quickly got me back in and fixed my hair at no extra cost and my hair looks BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you, I am looking forward to my next visit! more

Waxing 4/30/2011

It was a good waxing overall some of her rips were not quick enough. However, she was very good at going back in and tweezing and paying attention to detail. more

massage with patrick @ 81st location 4/29/2011

I have had many massages but this was the best one. I told him where my back was hurting and he focused on that spot to relieve the tension. He didn't forget about the rest of my body either. He took time to work on every muscle. I really felt relaxed after the massage. I am so impressed. My next massage will definitely be with Patrick. more

Relaxation Retreat 4/28/2011

I visited this salon on my birthday, and was pleasantly surprised by the experience! The whole experience was amazing, and left me feeling refreshed! It was like going on a mini-vacation! I highly recommend a massage with Kate. more

Long wait 4/27/2011

This was not a good experience. I arrived early for my appointment, my fault but the 20 plus minute wait AFTER my appointment was not exceptable! So I walked out of the salon. I have been a client many times but my stylist left and I thought I would try with another. Again my mistake! more

Steven made me feel beautiful! He had a challenge with my hair because I had colored it myself and it was tri-colored (and NOT in a good way!) and now my hair is one color and beautiful! more

Not the greatest 4/26/2011

Much prefer the Utica location. Thought south was crowded, loud, and messy. Not the pampering relaxing hip experience like Utica. My daughter and I both came and Rachel was great and very sweet and informative. My stylist was stand offish and seemed very uninterested in my hair. I will definitely go back to Michael at Utica but probably would not go back south. more

Up-do appointment 4/25/2011

First, i called Ihloff to make an appointment with the women that did my hair the last time that I had gone in. They said that she no longer worked of Saturdays, the day of my appointment. When i went in she was right next to me working. I also got to my appointment on time and the the stylist was 25 minutes late. When i described to her, and showed her a picture of what i wanted, i said i wanted my hair in a loose bun and my bangs down if possible. My bangs were not left down and my hair did NOT resembling a bun at all. Also almost a whole bottle of hair spray was used on my hair, making it not only stiff but it felt like cotton. When i got home i had to shower and redo my hair because the hair looked so bad. There were also two of the girls from my school that had to take their hair out because they strongly disliked it. I am very unhappy with the fact that i was told the stylist was not working and that my hair looked nothing like i described. more

The BEST hair stylist - Melody 4/25/2011

I had an appointment scheduled with another stylist, who called in sick. The receptionist called me and said I could reschdule or see Melody at a different time, I decided on Melody. She was fabulous, a real rock star, I had gone through a really difficult period and felt old and washed out. Melody was so soothing with her words and gave me the BEST hair cut I've ever had. I would recommend her to anyone, not only is she the very best at what she does, she loves it and brings a beautiful spirit to her work. more
