Upon arriving, we were greeted by a well-mannered valet, who ran around the car to open the car door for me before I had the opportunity to do so myself. We entered the castle-and it really does look like one! We had a reservation and were seated immediately at our table, which we were told was the hostess' favorite seat in the house (probably because it was the closest to the stairs). After receiving our drinks, we realized that it would have been nicer to have been given a quick tour of the place before being seated, but I am sure that had we had asked, we probably would have been granted that wish. Huge exposed wooden beams, beautiful tapestries, and surprisingly comfortable period chairs, and that is just the ambience!
Pros: Valet, beautiful ambience, flavorful food, great service
Cons: dreary black uniforms the waitresses have to wear
