MY WIFE CALLED THEM IN AN EMERGENCY , EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ONLY AN OVERFLOWING TOILET . BOY , DID THEY LIKE TO GET THAT TYPE OF CALL . THEY ARRIVED QUICKLY ( WHY WOULD THEY FOR EASY MONEY ) . Just yesterday my wife and I woke up to find we had no hot water. Going to the basement with flashlight and BBQ lighter in hand, thinking/hoping the pilot light had gone out, I was shocked to find the carpet in my finished basement soaked. The hot water tank had ruptured and water was everywhere. I had used Horton Plumbing in the past so gave them a call. Even though it was before 8am they answered right away. (I discovered later that they have 24/7 emergency service.) I described my situation to the lady that answered and explained that I would like to consider replacing the old unit with a tankless on-demand unit. She immediately connected me with their Master Plumber. He said he could come right out to assess the situation. It was only about 20 minutes and he was at my door (I'm not kidding, 20 minutes). After some review and discussion we determined the tankless option would be cost prohibitive because of the location of the mechanicals room (no outside wall in that room and too far to run the exhaust flume. Relocating the unit to a different part of the basement was not an option either.) I decided to go with a 50 Gal., quick recovery, hot water tank. The install crew was at my home about 45 minutes later. The job was completed by 1pm (all though I still had lots to do with cleaning and drying carpet) The two-man crew was very courteous and professional. They cleaned up when the job was done, went over the paperwork for the new unit, explained how to set the water temp, how to re-light it if needed, and yearly maintenance that should be done (flushing the unit out). Overall I am very satisfied with the work Horton Plumbing performed and VERY pleased with the responsiveness of their service. Happy Customer in Canton more

I had a backup in my basement drain that needed to be snaked out. The plumber arrived promptly, but was unable to clear the blockage. I was charged almost $300 and the problem was still unresolved. The plumber told me that they would then need to do a costly spot repair to the pipe. This would have involved excavating equipment and was estimated at nearly $9000.00. At this point, I tried to get some other estimates because of the large prospective cost to fix this. Well, to make a long story short, I had a plumber come out who was EXPERIENCED in sewer cleaning. He told me that he didn't do any digging, but he would come snake out the pipe for $165. He was so confident that he would clear the blockage that he would not charge me if he couldn't clear it. And guess what? He sure did clear that drain. I only wish I would have went with him in the first place. I would suggest that anyone steer clear of this place if they don't want to waste their money. Horton Plumbing was recommended by a friend, but I also checked them on this site and liked the reviews they had already received. I phoned and they had someone here within two hours -- even though it wasn't an emergency! The plumber was personable and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem without intruding. I am so happy with these guys that I just made an appointment for them to send a salesperson to give an estimate on another project. Stay tuned for what I hope will be another good review. I have had to call Horton's for both minor issues and a far more major one. Each experience has been very positive. When provided with an estimate, they have actually come in below their predicted cost. The plumbers are professional, courteous and willing to explain, in detail, what they are doing and what the problem is. Customer service is very, very good. In fact, when I had a Sunday night emergency, it was the owner who answered the phone and calmed me down. I would recommend Horton's to anyone in need of expert plumbing services. Horton Plumbing and Remodeling completed renovation of a bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room in my 1950's home. The workers were professional and the work was done in a timely manner. I especially liked that the workers cleaned up after themselves before leaving at the end of the day. The workman ship that was done was great and I am currently enjoying my rooms. I would use Horton Plumbing and Remodeling again for my next remodeling job. more

I have had Horton's to our home in Plymouth twice in two years and both times the guys they sent were clean, knowledgable and fast. The last time was the day we brought our first baby home from the hospital and entered the house to find frozen pipes...needless to say, we needed someone FAST! I also appreciate how Jeff the owner will come to the jobsite if there is any question or the situation is out of the norm (he did on our sewer clean out). We've been more than satisfied! Pros: 24 hour phone service, super fast and friendly Cons: Pay more for safety and reliability of it NOT being just one guy with a wrench. more

The man lied about what he would do, completed half the work and wanted more money. He refused to honor the contract and i had to take civil action against him. Pros: none Cons: will have to go to court with this company more

They came to my house, they fixed the sink, they fixed my sink, and a month later I had them remodel my bathroom. The guy who came was really nice and he cleaned up the mess he made, I would call them again if I had a problem. My only complain is that they didn't take off their shoes.
