I've used Hixon Heating & Air Conditioning for 15 years and I like their quality and integrity. They have done a fantastic job installing multiple air systems at residential and business locations. Richard runs a great company, and the installer Kevin is very good at what he does. They are very responsive and the price for what they do is very competitive. I would recommend them. more

My husband realized this afternoon that our air conditioner was not working properly and the temperature in our house was rising quickly! Hixon Heating and Air installed our unit a couple of years ago and we have always experienced great service. My husband called and within 30 minutes we were pleasantly surprised to see the truck pulling in our driveway. I have been using Hixon for 3 years and have no desire to call any other HVAC company in the area. I have 2 units and if one of them gives me a problem I call Hixon and they send someone out the same day that can work with my schedule. Each technician I have had over the years (Mitch, Michael and Philip) were excellent. They are reasonably priced, friendly, and honest. They tell me what's needed and stick to the price they quote before performing the work. I also like them because I am never told to get things I don't need. more

I have a split foyer home that realistically needs a second unit to be the most efficient, but don't have the money to replace it right now. Phillip did a fantastic job at diagnosing my current unit and getting it fixed for less than the competition, as well as laying out my future options to add the second unit! First let me say I did not have a problem with my AC unit! I contacted Hixon a week in advance to perform a 21 point inspection check. I just wanted a check on my unit before the summer months. The technician check the unit and stated the unit was fine both inside and outside but I did have a "very very small leak" and required 2 pounds of freon. He stated that the unit was good for at least 3 more summers and that everything was fine. Less than 24 hours the unit stopped working and the outside coils froze up. When the technician return two days later he stated that there was no more freon in the unit and that the leak was much larger than he thought. He said I needed a part that was going to cost an estimated $1,800. Is it possible to have a unit without any problems, have someone inspect the unit, find a "very very small leak" and in less than 24 hours the unit just stop working? Possible but not likely! Well, after I had another professional inspect the unit, I was told that my unit was full of freon and no leak. However, I did need a small part that only cost $190. The hundred ninety dollars was for the total cost of the visit, part labor included. Now I'm not saying that Hixon's technician did something wrong or misdiagnosed my unit but........ more

I have been using Hixon for several years. I am exceptionally satisfied with the honesty and integrity shown by Phillip, who has been "my" tech since he answered my first call. There were many times I expected to have to replace a unit or pay a huge repair bill only to find a small problem that was easily fixed by Phillip at a more than reasonable rate. This usually happened on a weekend. My lack of knowledge could have resulted in my being taken advantage of more than once but was not. As a result, once Phillip recommended I replace my A/C unit I did so knowing it was necessary. I have since replaced one more and am totally satisfied. The warranty is exceptional and is honored. I highly recommend this company. more

He has helped our family two times this year! He is professional, honest, and very quick to return my calls. There isn't anything convenient about your AC breaking during the middle of the summer, but we feel that Hixon has been very quick to help us at very reasonable and honest prices. Thank you! more

Short version of this review is 5 stars to technician Phillip who had my air working again in no time! And the long version.... Having air conditioning is one of those things we take for granted until you walk into your house and are hit with a 95 degree wall of heat! After dealing with no air for one night I called Hixon the next morning to set up an appointment. While they couldn't give me a time frame I mentioned that I could not take the day off work but if they could call me 20 minutes before the technician was at the house I would meet them there. They said that would be no problem - and it wasn't. Phillip called me 20 minutes away. Most companies these days act like they are doing you a favor by giving you a four hour window of time on when they will be there, so for Hixon and their employees to do this is a major plus in my book. At any rate Phillip had things working in no time at all, double checked everything and waited around a bit to make sure things were cooling properly before he left. Again, top notch service all the way around which is why Hixon will continue to be the only air/heating company phone number on my list and the only folks I recommend. more

A/C stopped working late on Tuesday evening. Found Hixon online after being disappointed with the last company that serviced my A/C. All the reviews that I read convinced me that this was the company to call. Called Wednesday morning to request a late afternoon appointment to allow me to go into work and was advised it would not be a problem. Phillip, the tech, quickly diagnosed the problem and after installing a new capacitor and adding a hard start unit the problem was solved. He also went into the attic to check the filter and tidied up some existing wiring on the compressor. Parts and labor - $138.00, cool air - priceless!! Phillip had 4 more appointments scheduled after mine and, after starting his work day at 6:00, had hours to go. Thank God for HVAC techs and companies like Hixon!! more

I call Sunday afternoon and tech was out within the hour. The technician Phillip was very professional. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem right away. This was a Sunday call and this company could have taken advantage of my situation but the price for repairs was extremely fair. This was by far the best customer service I have ever received from any home service company.I would highly recommend Phillip and Hixon heating and air if you ever need AC or heating repair work. more

Do you realize how difficult it is to trust different types of services when it may be something you are not an expert on, Any customer service industry like, fixing an oven, cable, computer, and car dealership? I called the office highly stressed after a batched job by someone else who said my AC unit had been struck by lightening. I was panicked about how I was going to come up with thousands of dollars I would need! We went 4 days in the summer heat with no AC. I finally called Hixon and expressed all my concerns about what needed to be fixed. Richard, the owner, came out to do the work himself. Not only did he charge me significantly less than anyone else I had researched. He did more and had me pay less. Even topping off the freon in the AC unit. Honestly, this is the best customer service I have ever gotten. I didn't worry after he left if I had just been taken advantage of. more
