This is the worst place ever!!! I moved in March 2012, about 8 months ago, and we've had maintenance come here more than once a month. I constantly have plumbing issues, roaches, and tons of mice!!!! 2 mice have been caught but just saw another one a couple hours ago. I have seriously adjusted to live with mice. It's a disgusting place, some neighbors are creepy, and this building makes all kinds of noises. Maintenance never considers ""emergency"" calls as an emergency! I would have rather paid more to live somewhere else without the fear of pests and rodents, NOT going to renew my lease here! more

The absolute worst! You can hear mice running threw your walls and your neighbors will be convicted felons. I had the lovely experience of my neighbor watching me sleep and god knows what else. When I contacted the leasing office they did nothing. Over priced dirty apartments. Do Not move in there. more

here's what I've dealt with in 4 years of renting with them... The first night I moved in, my apartment was infested with bugs. I got bitten so bad one of my eyes swelled shut and my lip was halfway swelled shut. They blamed me for the infestation and refused to have an exterminator come for almost a week. I couldn't live in the apartment for that time! My A/C broke while i was on vacation and leaked filthy water all over my clothes and overflowed my cat litter boxes. They refused to pay for the damage to my clothes, and refused to replace the carpet for 2 weeks that was damaged by the litter boxes overflowing. It smelled SOOO terrible, I had to call and basically harass/threaten them everyday until they gave in and replaced it. My ex-boyfriend (who used to work in their maintainence dept.) successfully broke into my apartment twice and they refused to change my locks because ""Master keys are changed everytime an employee leaves"". I had to get a restraining order, THEN write them a dissertation on why I should be able to move mid-lease. At the new place, the hot water heater and furnace are in a LOCKED closet in the living room. I have 2 appliances which run off of gas and create FIRE, but I can't have access to them. If they malfunction, I will die, even though i have 2 fire extinguishers. But they don't work through locked doors. My gutter leaked for a year and a half, and I called, emailed, wrote to them to please fix it because it would leak right in front of my door and create an ice-skating rink during the winter. I had to threaten to sue them before they fixed it. They have community washer/dryers, but turned off the hot water to the machines, so my filth gets washed with everyone elses poopy clothing/bed bugs/lice etc. They attempted to evict me after I was out of town and (yes my fault) forgot to pay rent. The rental payment places which you MUST go there in person and pay with cash, or a money order, if your rent is late, is never open, so they told me I would be evicted by the afternoon if I didn't may a payment by 9AM the next morning. They also explained that animal control would be called to pick up my 2 cats as well. Right now, I am sitting in my living room, after having to move ALL of my furniture 3 feet from the wall, empty all the cabinets (kitchen, bathroom), closets, etc.because of a rodent infestation, and exterminators are coming tomorrow. This is the 5th time I've had to do this in 3 months. Just imagine living in a place where you have to thow all your shet on the floor and halfway ""move-out"" every other week. Plus, if I didn't do it?... They would evict me. This information was contained in a balled up letter laying on my doorstep. The communities are not safe and attract low-life individuals. I have had packages stolen from my doorstep, my car was broken into, and I am tired of hearing my neighbors boyfriend scream at her. Ohh... And here's the kicker... Anyone notice that none of the communities are handicapped accessible? Well I'm sure my old neighbor did. He was partially disabled after having a stroke and would always park at the closest spot to the building (out of the niceness of out hearts we would leave the spot for him cause there weren't any handicapped spots), and he would slowly make his way, up over the curb, then walk up the steps. One day he fell on the steps, so me and 2 of my neighbors helped him up the rest of the steps, and then down the steps to his apartment. I don't know what kind of injury he sustaIned from the fall, but he quickly deteriorated, and died less than 2 months later. The day he fell was the last day he came out of his apartment. And I'm honestly not stretching the truth on that story. Renting from anyone including Charles Manson or the Son of Sam killer will be a more enjoyable experience. more

These people suck! Especially the butt ugly girls who sit in the main office. I think this place hires its employees based on how ugly they look. If you are ugly you then you are hired! I think most people just get scarred away because their office looks like halloween all the time with all of the butt ugly witches. Don't live here because you will be sorry. Again..I can't say this enough that THIS PLACE SUX! I had to throw in the butt ugly girls because Ive never seen so many ugly girls in one place. Dammit seriously! Why do I even have to rate this place with a star? I didn't want to even put 1 star but the computer said its required to put at least 1 star. more

I would totally agree do not rent from henderson and webb they are out for money and money only.. we moved into henderson and webb back in 2001 everything was good the first 2 yrs than everything started getting worse and worse.. we had nothing but problems for a year and a half i kept complaining to them about my gas bill being so high and they kept telling me to take it up with bge and bge said to go to them til it got to the point one day i called bge up in tears crying cause my bill was so high and that my apartment complex will not do anything about it i asked them to please send out a repair tech to check to make sure nothing was wrong because i had a toddler and a infant in the house well someone came out and told me he had to cut my gas off because my furance was not safe that i had carbon monixoide leacking into my apart it was still cold out and the only thing henderson and webb did was brought us out a 1 foot by 1 foot space heater to heat my whole 1200 sq ft apartment til they replaced my furnance which would take a week to do because there repair person was so busy.. well a week went by i called abt it getting fixed they said its coming its coming i told them that if someone wasnt out there that day to fix it i was calling housing authority within a hr someone was out.. the guy told me that he just got the call that he could have came out last week to replace it.. another problem we kept having was after our third son was born he kept being hospitalized and always really sick and dr's kept saying its a cold or so on til one day i took my son to a allergist and come to find out he was allgeric to mold.. our apartment was covered in mold in the ceilings.. in 2009 we got our renewal notice to renew which we did cause we really didnt have the money to move .. right after we renewed our lease our bathroom ceiling fell in it was covered in mold they told me someone would be out to fixed it soon.. than 2 days later the ceiling in the hall laundry room fell and that was covered in mold me and my neighbors kept calling and calling to get it fixed ..so after a week of our bathroom and the laundry area not being fixed mold everywhere i called them and they gave me the same bs story so i told them i was calling the health dept and housing authority that my son was severely allgeric to mold and this needed to be taken care of well a week later we got a letter from henderson and webb saying that they are terminating our lease and we have less than 3 weeks to move out ( and this was just a week and half tops after they just renewed our lease) well needless to say we moved out a few days later.. and as soon as we moved out our son health improved.. and now the bast**** are suing us for almost 4 thousand dollars saying that we didnt pay our rent for may, june, and july that we terminated our lease which we didnt they did.. and we moved out the end of may.. and they are also trying to say that we have to replace all the blinds for the 2 bedrooms and slider (which never even came w a blind in the first place and the ones in the bedrooms were from 1970 when we moved in) they also want us to pay for paint and carpet which we were there for almost 9 yrs and they never even cleaned our carpets in those 9 yrs nor came to repaint in those 9 yrs.. lets just say they can kiss my ass bring it in court cause i have the letter from bge abt the furnace and part of the moldy tile more

Its Agents Are Paid Commission for renting out apartment 7/10/2011

I chose Henderson-Webb Inc because it is a big company and I believe they should not cheat me. But the truth is the opposite. I took a bus to the office and the agent was happy and asked me to sign a stack of documents but she never explained what documents I need to sign. She said don't worry. it is easy and simple. While she pushed me to sign my name on all places she pointed out, she told me that the last bus is only 5 minutes away. I did not want the stay in a hotel and rushed to sign on wherever she pointed out (actually she folded the whole contract and the important part is not able to see). I was doing like an idiot. After I finished signing and ran to the bus stop, I waited there at least 20 minutes until the bus came. After I moved there, I realized that buses are running until 11:00pm rather than 5:00pm as she said. The reason she tried her best to cheat me to sign all the documents is that she just wanted to secure an apartment to be rented out because she is paid commission for each apartment she rented out. After I got home and had time to go through all the documents, I found out that multiple folded pages with tiny font are the one year lease, from which the most important part is the terminate occupancy which is hard to be found and the agent never mentioned. Let me copy this part below: In the event resident shall elect to terminate this agreement or any renewal or extension, prior to its expiration date, then resident may use the following procedure: a. Resident will give agent written notice to terminate this agreement at least thirty (30) days prior to the next rent payment due date; b. Pay rent through the end of the month in which resident plans to vacate c. Pay in addition to the foregoing, an amount equal to two (2) months rent in which resident plans to vacate. d. Deliver the keys the day when moving out and leave the apartment vacant. Failure to vacate the apartment will void the early termination option and the fee will be applied to rent. You can see the trick of this session. Resident has to notify the company at least 60 days before moving out of the apartment and, in addition, has to pay the rent for two more months after he/she left. more

This Is A Horrible Company 7/10/2011

Anything can happen suddenly to anyone. If that really happens, the resident has no other choice but to breach the agreement, which is an ideal thing to the company but a nightmare to the resident. This nightmare is still plaguing me. I suddenly lost my job in May and unemployment status made me unable to pay the rent. I called the company and was told I can send a written letter to the company notifying my intention to move out but I still need to pay next month rental. Then I have to pay the rentals for two more months after the end of next month. Then I can leave without being liable for the apartment. Or I can leave now but they will put me on liable for the the remaining time on the lease. The customer service woman also told me they will put the apartment on the market two days after I moved out. I have no choice but chose to move out the apartment before the end of May. I faxed a written letter explaining why I have to leave. I cleaned everything and turned in the keys before I moved out. I also posted this apartment on cragslist several times. I received a few calls and emails asking about this apartment. When I called the office, the agent said she had been asked to submit the keys to the main office and she does not have the keys to the apartment. But she promised she would ask for the keys. I called her almost everyday but she kept on saying the same thing. Until two weeks elapsed when I called her, she changed her words and said the main office asked me to call them. When I called the main office, the customer service woman kept me waiting for 45 minutes then finally she picked up the receiver and told me no one asked me to call main office. After I lost temper, she agreed to find someone who is in change of this to talk to me. After another 20 minutes waiting, finally another woman who identified herself as a director told me she does not know anything about my case but she would like to talk to me. My God! When I asked why the key to that apartment is still not available to the potential tenants. She said: ""Now the apartment is under the possession of the company and we will put that apartment on the market when it is ready."" When I asked when the apartment is ready to be put on the market? She said:""To put your apartment on the market is at our discretion"". When I asked the date they will do that, she said she does not know and she also cannot tell me. When I told her the lease includes a statement which says that the company would be actively seeking tenants for the apartments liable on former tenants but you are not doing what you said. She changed her attitude and said she would notify appropriate department of what I called for today. After this call I did receive a letter which was dated the day when I had a talk to that director. But the content is the fees I have to pay, including Advertising Expense of $50 and total fees are more than $500. It looks like this letter was composed two days after I moved out but it was dated on the date 2 weeks after I left. Furthermore, though they posted this apartment (as it is said in the letter) but they do not provide the key key to the potential tenants to look at the apartment. After I received this letter I called the office and the agent still said she does not have the key to the apartment. When I talked this to a former employee of Henderson-Webb Inc, she told me it is the company's policy to keep those apartments which are liable to former tenants like me un-rented out so that the company can collect more rentals. Oh, my god! more

Absolute Worst 5/9/2011

This management company is the absolute worst there is, they're incompetent, lazy and incredibly rude. If you want to deal with asanine customer service people and slacker maintenance men then this is the place for you. If you've got any sort of problem they brush you off, the only time they give to flying s***s about you is when you owe them even the slightest amount of money. They'll constantly hound you and threaten to throw you out until you give them every last dime right away. They're completely unwilling to work with you or come up with a payment plan or anything of that sort. I understand they've got bills to pay too but last I checked an empty apartment doesn't accrue any rent. Perhaps you should'nt be so hasty to throw people out Hendersen-Webb, you bunch of f***king crooks. more

GREEDY, UNPROFESSIONAL, LIARS 3/16/2011

The 'renovated' apartment was junk. There was a terrible odor, most of the lights didn't even work, and the refrigerator had mold growing on it. The AC/heater didn't work either. Customer service never fixed any of these problems, and to top it all off I was late with rent for one day after paying on time for a year, and they sent me to court!!! These people are INCOMPETENT when to comes to customer service. I have never had a single question answered or a single concern met. DO NOT LIVE HERE more

Greed and Greed 1/21/2011

Lived in their community for 9years and 7 months, never had even new paint, and carpet was changed after the 9th year . I moved out and expecting a full refund of my down payment as of the case and having lived there for a good period of time. I was surprised to see a check with only my interest and the rest deducted away. I was expecting at least an explanation of what happed to my refund but just a check stub stating countertop damage $225.00. I wrote a letter to the main office directed to P. Delaney, request a professional explanation to the charge and also the countertop life according to henn webb assessment, and a good proof of the damage. After like a month of delay, I received a letter stating that charges will stand and not even a fifth grade explanation of what I had requested. . Henn webb reply read, the charges will stand and you can come to cockeysville adress to see the photos; as if I did not live in that apartment and use the countertops for that long. I was kind of my questions were not even answered and even wondered if he ever saw the letter. I had lived in regional managent homes and to my amazement there exit refund always included a detailed letter of any damages and charges incurred to rectify the damage and was expecting the same from hen webb but to my amazement not an elementary school explanation was given leaving me wondering. I know barnie madoff went for the rich and the rich will repay from the poor hence another case of American greed ..Hen webb style. more

THIS APARTMENT MANAGEMENT COMPANY IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN WE MOVED IN NOT KNOWING THE APARTMENT WE ARE MOVING INTO WE WERE TOLD THEY DON'T KNOW UNTIL WE SIGN THE CONTRACT SO TO LOCK US IN AN AGREEMENT. Nice Complex 10/25/2009

Well I've live at one of Henderson-Webb apartment complex in Cockeysville for the past 18 months and I never see not one insect in my apartment, except the little bug...that crawled through my balcony door in the summer time, when I accidental leave it open without pulling back the screen. I left my rent in drop box numerous of times and they always receive it. I do understand that sometimes these things can be misplace, because it happen to me at another complex years ago. Now, I just leave mostly checks, just to be on the safe side. My service calls/repairs are answer within the same business day or next day. Pros: Great customer service. Nice, clean and quiet complex Cons: Cannot complain. more

ONE OF THE WORST APARTMENT MANAGEMENT COMPANIES IN MARYLAND 2/7/2009

I HATE THIS PLACE. YELLOW TUB AND BATH TUB, NO UPDATED KITCHEN, CHEAPEST CARPET EVER, SHOULD I SAY RODENT WEBB!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE AN EXTRA ROOM JUST FOR THE RODENTS! THESE APARTMENTS ARE SLUM. THE ONLY REASON WHY I MOVED HERE WAS BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE TO PAY A SECURITY DEPOSIT, THE ONLY REASON WHY IM STILL HERE IS THE AREA THAT I LIVE IN IS VERY CLOSE TO WORK.
