People sure do write stories on here. I'll make mine short and sweet for everyone on how I feel about this clinic. Dr. M is the one we use the see. But he's not there anymore. Dr....

Worst

My dog was diagnosed with allergies, but the problem was rancid food. They tried to give me prescription food at a huge expense as a remedy. His coat was horrible. I tried good...

Great experience 12/5/2011

I took my dog to helping hands veterinary clinic and found the staff to be wonderful. Dr. Guidry was fantastic with my dog. She was gentle and understood how nervous my dog was. Dr. Guidry was thorough with the exam and explaining me everything so I could understand her. They even sent me home a bag of free dental treat samples and cleaners so I could make sure she likes them before purchasing. I'm very satisfied! more

Hit and miss 9/28/2010

They either do an excellent job or they do a horrible job. They forgot a deworming med for our new kitten and we ended up spending big bucks to deworm our dog and 2 other cats that didn't need it prior. We would have isolated her longer if we had known they didn't give her all her meds! Reception is the same way either they are awesome or rude and inexperienced saying the opposited of what the Doctor says! frustrating! more

Best Vets I've ever dealt with 9/13/2010

Dr. G (as he is called at the clinic) has cared for both of my dogs since I got them. His prices are lower and his services better than any of the animal clinics I've tried. This past year, my dog Roscoe developed cancer in his jaw. Dr. G was incredibly supportive, discussed all our treatment options with us at great length, and helped us make the best decisions we could. He and his staff were always available, always concerned, and seemed almost as devoted to Roscoe as we were. Under his care, Roscoe lived twice as long as his predicted survival time had he undergone chemotherapy. Dr. G provided us with all options, from traditional medicines to alternative and homeopathic treatments. In the end, the Doctor came to our home and performed Roscoe's euthanasia here, so that he did not have to die in a clinic. I am tremendously grateful to Dr. G and the entire clinic staff for making Roscoe's last six months as good as they could possibly be. I will continue to take my animals to Helping Hands, even though I now live in West Seattle and it is quite a drive. They are worth the extra effort more

so so -never fax my claims to my pet insurance 6/16/2010

I have been using Helping Hands in Lynnwood for the last few years. It is like PULLING TEETH to get them to fill out and fax the claim form to my pet insurance company. This is so I can get reimbursed for some of the cost. No problem to them, just FILL IT OUT and FAX IT. They act like it's such a hassle. Sticking with them for now because they have her records and history. more

Great Dr's and Asstants 2/20/2010

I had to put my beloved dog to rest yesterday and the nurse that took me into the room was so good to me and my dog. My dog was covered with a skin issue yet she still gave her lots of petting and kissed her forhead. while i know this is hard the hardest part is the paper work and I asked her just to get it over with so during the exam and procedure I could focus on my dogs last minutes with me not my debit card. She respected my wishes unfortunately she never came back a dr. with an different nurse came in and that made me upset as i was already. Kellie i just wanted to let you know if you read this I appreciate you taking care of my wishes and showing my dog and myself so much care I really wanted you to be there to the end taking care of her because I know you would of been respectful and gentle with her. That clinic is blessed to have people who truley care about the pets and clients as well. While I am still grieving if I choose to get another pet I will ask if you'r working so we can have you the whole time i am there, Thanks so much for you'r kindness and not treating me or my pet like we were a debit card and a bag. more

Horrible 2/8/2010

This place is a joke to be honest. After I had made an appointment they still kept me waiting almost 2 HOURS to finally figure out what I needed for my dachshund. The staff is fairly unprofessional, having inappropriate conversations in front of customers and their phone ettiquette is not great all all. I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone. They promised me blood for 2 days after I went and it was almost a week before I actually found out my dog was okay. Since the blood work was for a serious illness they should be a lot more ontop of it. I am SO incredibly disappointed in this place. more

Changes Make It Even Better 12/31/2009

I forgot to mention in my accupuncture posting that Helping Hands now has scheduled appointments as well as walk-ins. This has corrected my only prior problem with their clinic - the sometimes long waits for walk-ins. I think they've found a nice balance between the convenience of walking in when something unexpected occurs and the convenience of having a scheduled appointment time. more

Amazing Accupuncture 12/31/2009

Dr. G gave my aging dog his "life" back. My poor Sheltie could hardly walk and stairs proved especially difficult; often his legs would collapse as he headed downstairs and he'd fall flat on his face. When I brought him in to Helping Hands, Dr. G suggested 3 accupuncture treatments, 1 week apart. INCREDIBLE! Not only was my dog walking up and down stairs, he was RUNNING up and down the stairs after me, jumping out of the back of our car (which he hadn't done in years), and playing soccer in the backyard with my son! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for that treatment, which was done about 9 months ago ... and my dog is still doing great! more

They made us feel comfortable and the holistic medicine worked great! 7/24/2009

Helping Hands is a wonderful and affordable clinic. They go out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The prices are the best and that is initially why we came, however, the reason we are continuing is the excellent quality of care we have received. We initially brought our 12 year old Shibu Inu, Miko, in for a teeth cleaning. That went great and was by far the best price I could find. Then Miko had recently been showing signs of pain and difficulty jumping and going up and down stairs. A quick x-ray showed it was apparent the he was suffering from arthritis. They suggested a series of 3 acupuncture treatments in which they injected a special combination of holistic medicines specially combined for Miko. We have been delighted and amazed at how effective this treatment was. Miko is completely off any medications, but more importantly feeling so much better. He is able to jump and run the stairs now without pain! We are so grateful to all the staff. They are such a wonderful resource to our community! more

Don't pay attention 5/20/2009

I went in to get my new puppy its first round of shots. They have you fill out a questionnaire. Then the vet doesn't even bother to look at it? They sell me a prescription food for 4 days because my puppy had diarrhea one time. I asked about switching food having an affect, as I know it does. Said no, doesn't matter. Didn't even ask or look what I was feeding my dog which is frozen raw, best out there. Says beef and chicken are usual problems for pets. Guess what the second ingredient was in the food she sold, 1-water, 2-beef. Hello? Wouldn't give my puppy her shots, instead gave medication to get rid of any parasites and a prescription to counteract getting rid of those antibodies. Waited forever. Not going back. If they can't take the time to get to know the animal through that questionnaire and see if there was a problem, they obviously don't pay attention. more

Empathy at it's best 3/9/2009

We took our beloved dog here to be euthanize which was a very hard thing to do as I'm sure you can imagine. They set aside a room for us so we wouldn't have to wait in the waiting rooms and could say our goodbyes privately. They were all very empathetic to what we were going through from the receptionist, to the vet tech to the vet herself. They allowed my 10-year-old daughter in the room so she could say goodbye as well and didn't try to pressure us otherwise. After the procedure was over, and 3 boxes of kleenex, they didn't make us feel pressured at all to leave and make room for other clients. Very compassionate. more

Very good Vet. 12/23/2008

I have taken my Two Dogs here for the past 7 years and always received good service. Dr. G is an outstanding vet and does a great job. My two large dogs are now over 13 years old and still hanging in there, probably in part to Helping Hands Vet. I drive 45 Minutes out of the way to take my dogs to Helping hands because of the great service. Here are just some of the services I have had done here: 1) Teeth Cleanings 2) Arthritis and Hip Displaysia 3) Teeth Extractions 4) Acupuncture (it did not help in my dogs case but can help many dogs and was worth it) 5) Dr's taught me how to give shots and I give my dog Adequien Chondroprotec Shots, which most vets every month would cost $55+ Dollars, instead I am able to give the shot myself for around $3 each shot and my dog feels more comfortable having me perform the shots 6) Splinter in Paw All in all I recommend Helping Hands, the DR's always have taken great time and care of my animals, and I feel very comfortable when it comes time for them to go to Doggie Heaven I will take them to Helping Hands. -Nigel Glenwood more

allergies versus rancid food 12/23/2008

My dog was diagnosed with allergies, but the problem was rancid food. They tried to give me prescription food at a huge expense as a remedy. His coat was horrible. I tried good food that is organic without the junk and he has been doing great ever since. It was suggested to have him tested for allergies!!! Wonder what that would have cost. Vets know nothing about nutrition for your animal. They go with whatever the representative gives them, which is, for them I think was Hills. I put my dog on Timberwolf and he has been fine for years. more

Find another Vet 11/28/2008

Three weeks after I had taken my cat here for excessive genital cleaning and pain he was dead from a blocked bladder. I only learned of the blocked bladder after getting a second, and third, opinion about his condition. They told me he just needed chiropractic adjustments and he'd be fine. more

Incredible Care! 10/19/2008

blHelping hands Vet Clinic charges almost half of what other clinics charge yet they give TWICE as much quality care! I have owned dogs for 30 years and dealt with many different clinics, and never have I been so impressed as I am with them. Dr. Guidry goes out of her way to answer all my questions in deciding the best options for my elderly dog, providing information and alternatives that saved me money. If I won the lottery and could take my dogs anywhere I would still choose Helping Hands incredible care more

Knowledgeable and Caring 9/30/2008

I just wanted to everyone know about the staff and doctors and the knowledge and professionalism that they all have. I brought in my new kitten Jazzi on an emergency call. The staff was quick in rushing her back for x-rays and their assurance and kindness helped. I cannot say enough good things about the doctors- they are very knowledgeable and caring vets, I would take my pets to no other place. Jazzi is doing great and I look forward to many years of coming to Helping Hands Veterinary Clinic! more

Knowledgeable and Compassionate 9/30/2008

Good: Made me feel like my kitty was in the best of hands. The staff really cared that I was worried about my kitty and did everything possible to comfort me.. Bad: absolutely nothing. more

Manipulative Cheaters 4/26/2008

I would NEVER take my dog or cats to this vet. I would rather drive 3 hours out of my way just so I can avoid this place. They are scammers. Don't trust a word they say because they will misdiagnose your animals on purpose so they can make money. more

Thank you Helping Hands you always do a superb job! 2/12/2008

Helping hands is great! Everyone I have met there both customers and the working staff are great people and love the place! It is a superb place for taking your animal. The vets are top-notch, and outstanding, including DR. G. I recommend this vet to anyone that has animals. I drive far out of my way because of the great staff and oustanding service I always receive. Warm Regards, Betty more

Caring Staff 2/6/2008

I want to say thank you to helping hands staff. Last September I found one of my kittens had died when I was at work. A few days later I noticed my other kitten was not acting right. I called my co worker who has been going to helping hands for about 6 years. She called the clinic and explained what was going on with my kitten. My co worker picked me and my kitten up and took us to the clinic. When we got there she was told to go to the back with my kitten that it was a emergency. The doctors tried everything they could but the outcome was I my kitten died in my arms that day. I received a sympathy card a few weeks late from helping hands. As to the comment posted by liz v on 9/13/2007 I just want to say she did not have the facts on what was going on and should not make comment that she does not know about!! Just want to say thanks again and I do recommend this vet to everyone I know!! more
