I've been going to Nalyn for years to tint my eyelashes. She's a real perfectionist, better than anyone I've gone to in California or New York. It's hard to find someone who provides this service around here. I love how it changes my face and how long it lasts. more

We just recently discovered Gia's Elite Style. Since one year (we are new to Ithaca) of trying all kinds of different hair salons we are finally in good hands. My whole family sees Nalyn for haircuts. Nalyn is a great hair stylist who takes her time, she will consult with you making sure you will get what you want . Her precision cuts are just awesome and because she cuts so well they last longer. She spends at least 20 to 30 minutes cutting my sons hair, she just wont stop till it's perfect. I am seeing her for highlights and she does that very well, too. I visited family in Europe recently and they all complimented me on my hair cut and color. I can only recommend Nalyn, here you get what you pay for and that's hard to find in Ithaca. \r more

After having the read reviews from other people, I guess I was just very unfortunate. Nalyn is apparently a very nice lady but the most annoying thing is how she bragged about herself during the WHOLE time, which actually did raise my hope but the haircut turned out pretty unsatisfactory. I eventually had a second cut the day after in college town. Things that I did not like about this place: 1) she seemed to be rushing the whole time; 2) during the wash, I got bubbles and water all over my face and she just did not seem to care too much; 3) she basically charged whatever she liked - and charged me Manhattan price. I will just never go back. Sorry. more

Nalyn has been cutting my hair for over four years now. She is the ONLY hairstylist who knows how to cut my hair the way I like it - Short, wispy, and fun! I have really thick, wavy to curly hair, and love sporting a Meg Ryan-esque 'do. I have been to many hairstylists over the years, and Nalyn's precision cuts are the BEST. I even drove over an hour (for a couple years) to get to Gia's Elite Salon, when I was living in Corning, New York. I have thick Asian hair and I have never found someone who can make it look good. Well I finally found someone. I have been coming to Nalyn for 2 years now and I always get a cut that I love. She makes me, and my whole family, feel good as she cuts their hair too. She also waxes my facial hair and all this for a reasonable price. And that clothing boutique out back...what a find. I have enhanced my wardrobe with beautiful items at a great price. I am constantly getting compliments at work. This is the first time I've dared get a haircut in Ithaca and I went to Gia's Elite Style because of all the great ratings here. What I wanted was kind of pricey so I got a haircut and it turned out wonderful! I've been getting lots of compliments thanks to Kalyn and I'm definitely going to go back for more goodies! Nalyn's cutting and styling skills would rock In NYC or LA. To find them in Ithaca is nothing short of a miracle. I've lived and worked all over the United States, and there is no one I would trust as I trust Nalyn. Nalyn is the best hair stylist Ive ever been to. At first her confidence made me a little wary but this is the third haircut I've received from her and Im extremely happy with the results. Not only does she know how to cut hair she knows whats best for each person. She is careful, takes her time, and is genuinely trying to give you the best haircut she can. Just got my eyebrows and hair done. They both look fantastic. Nalyn took a long time getting everything just right, and the end result was amazing. i had screwed up my eyebrows trying to do them myself, and she fixed them and now they look great!! She is a pro and worth every penny. more

If you're in search of an amazing place to get your hair cut...look no further. Nalyn is amazing! I live in Corning, NY and there is no one in the area I trust to cut my hair. Believe me, I've gone to my fair share of chop shops only to end up with lopsided hair. She knows exactly what I want and takes her time to make sure it looks perfect. After trying two other salons in Ithaca and being very disappointed with the results, a friend recommended going to see Nalyn. She was able to see me right away, and gave me the best cut I've had in years! Definitely well worth the price of a cut. As a Cornell undergrad alum and a Cornell grad student, I have been in Ithaca for seven years, and it has taken me the entire seven years to FINALLY find someone that knows how to cut hair!! Nalyn is without a doubt the best and most talented hairstylist in Ithaca, and I can say this without a doubt in my mind after trying several other salons and always leaving disappointed. I found Nalyn after a particularly terrible experience at a “fancy” new salon close to campus. No one has ever cut my long-layered hair style in less than 45-60 minutes, so after a 20 minute cut at this “fancy” salon, I left unhappy once again and even returned to the stylist that day with a picture in hand of the last good hair cut I had gotten, yet I left near tears. After wasting $55 and most of my day, I decided I had to find someone else. I read a few wonderful reviews about Nalyn, which were only confirmed when I talked to her on the phone told me to head over right then. She spent about a full hour fixing my hair and creating beautiful long layers that everyone has complimented me on. I haven’t been to another stylist since then and even brought my boyfriend in for a cut which no other stylist has been able to come close to. My husband went to Nalyn when I got tired of cutting his hair and she did an incredible job - on very difficult hair. My daughter went in and got beautiful, long layers. I went in and got amazing layers that have held up really well. I was a hairdresser and have been cutting my family's hair for twenty years because we had never found anyone we really liked. Update: I went in today 3/23/12 for an eyebrow wax and got to talking with Nalyn about my hair and my issues with it looking bland and not emphasizing the natural curl, she looked and it and told me what she would do to it, I immediately asked if she had time now and she did so she got to snipping. She gave me a precision cut and it looks amazing! It brought out the curls that I love and haven't seen in a long time while not taking off on the length (she knows I'm growing it out). I already got a compliment from 2 coworkers and told them exactly where I got it done at Gias! Nalyn is truly amazing, she cares about her customers and isn't afraid to voice her opinion which I appreciate always because I am not a stylist and need guidance! I HIGHLY recommend Gia's Elite Style to anyone who wants an amazing custom cut, wax, eyebrow tint, her prices are great and so is she! I'm now 100% going to Nalyn for all my haircare needs! I have gone to Nalyn twice to wax my eyebrows and both times she has done an amazing job. She really takes her time and works hard to make them look great. She told me at my last wax about eyelash tinting and after an online search I realized I wanted it. I went yesterday and it was quick, easy and pain-free. My eyelashes look awesome and I don't have to wear mascara at all for 4-6 weeks! I will be going back to her to continue getting my eyebrows and eyelashes done! I just got my first hircut by Nalyn at Gia's elite Style and I LOVE it!\r \r She promised I would but when I felt the razor cutter in my hair I told her that never worked well in my hair (in the poast anytime a stylist usedone in my hair it looked thin and scraggly) I learned it is the technique (not always the tool) that makes or breaks the outcome.\r \r She did such an expert job blending my hair, it has more movement and body than it ever has before and looks thick and flowy.\r \r I will definitely be going back to see her again for my next cut (my daughter too).\r \r Thanks - you are the bext!\r \r more
