Great service at affordable price 1/23/2011

I moved to Ithaca two years back and was struggling to find a good barber shop - most of them are either ridiculously expensive or provide subpar service. Gia’s on the other hand offers great service at an affordable price - it is by far the best place to get a haircut in Ithaca. What I like the most is that there is no need to explain how I want my hair to be done at every visit – Nalyn remembers it and does wonderful job every time. more

Excellent haircut from friendly service 12/17/2010

nalyn gives a great haircut. Hands down the best haircut in the area that I've gotten. Attention to detail is a must with me when I get a haircut and there's no stray hairs here ever. Great haircut! more

I have been getting my hair cut here for a little under a year. I am a Cornell student who was looking for something that I couldn't get in Collegetown. Highly recommended for students an locals alike. The service is great and the prices can't be beat. more

Real Professional Cut 12/12/2010

My wife and I frequently shop at the Triphammer mall during the weekends, so Gias is very convenient for me. Also as a guy who likes to wear his hair a bit longer I can honestly say that the cut I received was the best I've ever had. I'd definitely recommend the ""precision cut"", it costs a bit more but it's worth it to look your best. Pros: Real professional cut that I've been unable to find elsewhere Cons: A bit more expensive(but well worth it) more

Great friendly service 8/1/2010

I found this place when rushing around looking for an opening to get my son's haircut. Every other place was too busy and we were in a hurry. She was friendly and did what we asked. My son was grateful and now our whole family goes there. She does a great job with coloring my white hair as well. Plus she is open everyday. She also is opening a little clothing boutique. Check it out. Pros: hair cut and coloring more

Good Attention to Detail and Excellent Service 6/9/2010

The lady who works there is Nalyn and she is pretty friendly. I go there about once a month (I'm a guy, but she does mostly women) and she makes sure to take her time cutting. She uses those scissors that do not fray my hair. You can complain to her about your haircut if you don't like it and she'll fix it anytime for free. It is close to Ithaca Bakery for coffee on the other corner. I went to a few other places in Collegetown and near the mall, but I felt like they rushed me and just kind of buzzed the sides of my hair, so I didn't go back to those. Pros: hair washing area, careful haircutting, polite service Cons: location (had to take bus 30 to get to Triphammer Mall) more
