We took a party of 11 to the Germantown Cafe for a birthday dinner. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to assist us. With all of the rave reviews we'd heard about Germantown Cafe, it was kind of a let down. The food quality was disappointing. The appetizers, squash fritters, escargot and crab cakes, were fine. The entrees, however, lacked. The steak, ordered medium, was charred and very tough. The pasta dishes were very salty. The chicken dishes, both the Tasso & the special of the day, were average at best. Overall, glad we tried it but probably will not go back.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Immediate Seating, Valet Parking
