Review content:
Four of us ate at Germantown Cafe last night. The owner said it was their busiest night yet. We arrived 6ish and were seated quickly. We weren't seated by the windows, but the view was still good and the ambience very nice. The food was wonderul! The favorites at our table were the Squash Fritters and the Southwestern Chicken Strudel. Both were absolutely yummy! The Caesar salads were better than the house salad. The Char-crusted New York Strip was cooked just as ordered it and very tasty and tender. For dessert, Chocolate Truffle Cake w/ raspberries was incredible and the Walnut Apple Pie with Cinnamon Ice Cream was runny (like apple pie soup topped with ice cream), but tasted great! The host and hostess were very attentive and friendly. Our server was less so. The prices are very reasonable for such high quality fare. We will absolutely be going back.
