everything was handled great. no complaints. Jay, your service rep did every thing he could to make my repair as pleasant as possible.

Worst

I have taken my car in for multiple times for the same issue but they have never been able to fix it, even after the issue was video taped.

I pulled into the GG Hyundai dealership late on a Saturday afternoon, thinking I had damaged my vehicle while driving, making it unsafe to drive. Even though the service dept. was officially closed the service rep took my car and had a tech put it on a lift to inspect the undercarriage for damage. To my great relief, she brought it back out saying there was no damage. She understood my fear and their willingness to check my car and give an honest assessment that late in their workday, even though I purchased it somewhere else, now makes me a loyal customer for all future services. more

Unhappy-never complain, but can't restrain this time. 9/11/2014

At first I was told when I scheduled the appointment they said it'd be 45 minutes, but when I got there they said it'd be four hours, that's fine because I was dropping off anyway. However there were two recall notices for my vehicle, but when I brought it in, only one recall service was performed, so I was told I'd have to come back again. I had also asked for the interior to be vacuumed, but that wasn't performed either, instead I found oil spots on the top hood of my car. And finally, I was really unhappy that I was told an oil change was $31.00 over the phone, then was charged $37 at the end of my service. Customer service was good, it's just frustrating to be inconvenienced by two recalls (which weren't completed) and then everything else that proceeded. more

In the past, I had no problems with service at this dealership. In this instance, service representative did not see to it that issues, problems were addressed. Had to ask twice for wiper blades; had to ask twice for quote on new tires. A major issue, malfunctioning of alarm, was not addressed when I was told car was ready to be turned over to me, then was told an analysis of issue would have had to be done to get an idea of what was causing. Whereupon I asked, incredulously, if he understood that the malfunctioning alarm was a major reason why I had taken car in for service; service rep. then put a $5 hood bumper in place, saying that that might solve the problem. If all of that wasn't enough, I'm 90% certain that my car was damaged while in the hands of the garage personnel: major scrape on left front bumper. When I informed the service manager of the issue, he didn't bother to leave his office to inspect the damage (saying that he could see the damage through the office window), which makes me wonder why he wasn't interested enough to take a good look at the damaged area. He then told me that the damage could not possibly have been done in the shop. Was he watching the vehicle every moment? Not properly inspecting the damage, how could he know that a technician, or another customer hadn't caused it? more

Went in 10 min early for my appointment, had to sit there an extra 20 before someone came. They were busy but they should just serve everyone with an appointment first otherwise it defeats the whole purpose. I got my car serviced here about 5 times and apparently they decided to change my name, address, car model, and phone number on my profile. Took another 10 min to do that. Waited 2 hours for a simple oil change and than the guy comes out and tells me that I need something else changed. I don't understand why he didn't call before the 2 hour wait. Bribed me of another $70 and waited another hour and a half. I probably won't come here again. more

The service manager doesn't care 8/4/2014

I had a problem after my car was serviced with the front tires not being balanced after rotating the tires. I called the service manager to discuss the issue but he doesn't return calls. He is either new or just doesn't care about the customer. more

Your Car Will Drive Like It Is New Again! 8/4/2014

This dealership continues to WAY exceed my expectations for taking my car in for service! The two places that I have historically hated - my twice/yr visits to the dentist and ANYTHING having to do with servicing a car - is now reduced to one, my dentist. Throughout the almost 2 yrs that we have had our 2013 Elantra Limited, I have only worked with Tony, our Service Advisor at Garden Grove Hyundai. Tony is beyond exceptional as he proactively looks at our car to help minimize the normal wear & tear things from coming up too soon. He does not talk down to me and puts tech things into common language that I can grasp. He represents your company VERY well and I tell other people to ask for him. I am not traumatized when I visit - and I have never been able to say this during all the years that we had BMW's (UGH! Expensive services!!!), Nissans (OK car, but didn't trust dealer's service groups) or Mazda (cars broke down too much). I STRONGLY recommend the Hyundai brand, the GG dealership in particular AND Tony, as a genuine, Customer Service professional! Feel fortunate to have discovered this team for our current and future car needs. Thanks! more


Recommend staying away from this service department 7/31/2014

I bought my car just over 4 months ago from GG Hyundai. I have been back to have repairs (electrical issue that took them 2 separate tries and 3 days to fix but told it was a known issue). The most recent visit was just for an oil change but the oil fill pump supposedly malfunctioned and overfilled my car by 2 quarts causing the car to run very badly minutes after leaving. I promptly returned and they took full responsibility and re-changed my oil but wasted 3 hours of my life. How hard is it to check a dip-stick? Completely avoidable mistake with no excuse good enough for me. Pass on Garden Grove Hyundai...I will try my luck at Anaheim next visit. more
